Some the better food and service in the valley without question!! They understand and are qualified to execute the makings of a great meal.timing of courses, greeting and overall attentiveness could be a focus of room for improvement. The overall experience is/was enjoyable. but to be honest the shortcomings are not conducive to the caliber of type of establishment and price point.

The meal was perfectly quaint and delicious. This restaurant is very small and gives the vibe of intimate candlelit dinner. The whole operation is run by a married couple, the husband cooking the dishes while the wife serves the front. Because of this small and mighty team the meal will take you 2.5 or 3 hours from wine through all three courses. We didn’t complain as this provided my group ample time to drink wine and have excellent conversation.We were the last to leave the restaurant so the husband took time to offer us dessert and coffee while the wife went upstairs to tend to their child. Although we didn’t partake that last bit of hospitality went a long way for us. Thank you for an incredible night!

What a special find! Who would have thought? Amazing food, beautiful service. Delicious. Delicious. Kathleen (in the front) and her husband (in the kitchen alone!) haves created a wonderful dining experience. Only 7 tables... 14 seats + a few at the bar, so book well ahead. Warning: no parties over 4, and leave the kids at home; not allowed.

If you like good food, go here! This place was such a delight from start to finish. A good wine list. An amazingly curated and highly seasonal meal. Excellent service. And perfect ambience. My partner and I were totally blown away with this place. We can't recommend it enough.

Gem of Vermont. A must visit if you’re going to Mt. Snow—a short 15 mins car ride away. The food was delectable and exquisite. The pairings were perfect with the half bottle of champagne. The service was top-notch. The scene was romantic, rustic, intimate, and characteristic of Vermont vibes.

We went here for Valentine's Day and had the most wonderful date together. This restaurant is an unexpected gem. It delivers world class tastes in a town with a population of less than 2000. The service was impeccable. Our server explained every item on the menu in exquisite detail. After ordering our various dishes, including two types of raw oyster, octopus, lobster, Brazilian bourride, and New Zealand elk, we sat and enjoyed the intimate setting. After a short wait, our courses began arriving in well-spaced intervals. Appetizers meant to be split between two people, were plated seperately. Such attention to detail led to a relaxing and pleasant dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. You'll be hard pressed to find a place any better, whether it be locally or in the city. By the way, the restaurant only seats about 14 people, so plan carefully. This is a place to bring your significant other, not your entire family.

The food at Folly was some of the best (if not the best) that I've ever had. Graham is an incredibly talented chef and Jade was an absolute pleasure. We can't recommend Folly highly enough. The ambiance was relaxing, the food was incredible, and the service was wonderful. The chef was even able to cater to members of our party who were Celiac and dairy free. The food and service was absolutely outstanding. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. They were very accommodating to us, which we greatly appreciated. If you are in the area, you MUST eat here! Make sure to make reservations well in advance - you will not be disappointed!! The steak was perfectly cooked, the blend and layers of flavors was fantastic, and the vegetables were very fresh and not overcooked.

We were visiting our daughter at Marlboro Music Festival and had a spectacular dinner here. The food was artfully prepared, service was outstanding and the atmosphere warm and inviting. The portions were quite generous. We ordered 2 items from the first and third courses and 1 from the middle course and were almost too full to eat the 3rd courses when they arrived. However, the duck and salmon entrees were simply too good so we made room. I have eaten at many top notch restaurants all over the world and would say that Folly ranks right up there for most memorable meals. Moreover, the price was only a fraction of what we expected for such an amazing dining experience.

We had a lovely dinner at Folly! Highly recommend. Their food, service and ambiance were all a 5 star experience.The details: small restaurant where they are just doing everything really well. Not a lot of choice on the menu but it was thoughtful, seasonal and everything was delicious. They also space courses out so you have time to really enjoy your meal and your date. A very special evening and will definitely come back the next time I am in Wilmington!If you are traveling with kids, head to Dot's down the street. Save Folly's for a date night!

Had dinner here last night - absolutely delicious meal!My husband and I split the mushroom toast, scallops, carbonara, duck and New York strip. The duck was my favorite- the skin was crispy and full of flavor - it’s a must try!Overall we were super satisfied with the whole experience and feel very lucky to land a last minute reservation during the busy long weekend.

Without a doubt some of the best food I have ever had. The Thai Scallops I ordered for mid course were by far the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff with an intimate setting. I rarely leave a review so the fact that I am justifies how good this place is. Make a reservation and go. You won’t be disappointed.

This was a gem find! My husband and I were heading back to MA after a long weekend in NY and VT, looking for a place to have dinner, and not a place with only burgers. We were able to grab two seats at the bar and had the most amazing experience. The owner describes each dish in detail with passion and perfection. She encouraged plate sharing and we were so glad she did. The food was fantastic - not something you typically find in a small town in VT. It truly is a hidden gem.

We had the most wonderful dining experience here. Every part of the meal was beautifully thought out and added to our evening. My fiancé and I had one appetizer and one mid course to share and each had an entree. The duck breast was succulent and delicious and the filet mignon absolutely melted in my mouth. Thanks so much Folly for a truly memorable evening.

Yes, 5 stars, absolutely all 5. We came to see friends who told us we had to eat here. Are you tired of walking out of restaurants saying it was ok, or not bad. Well Folly will change all of that. Small place, 5 or 6 tables with seating for 14 or 15? Had an 8:30 res, politely and promptly seated. Jane the hostess, server and everything else in front was a joy. Very small menu with appys, middle and entrées, 3 of each so 9 items. My wife and I ordered the muscles and pasta dish as appys. The only downside was a really long wait for the appys but when they cam it was incredible. The flavor of the muscle broth was rich and the best we ever had, the flavor of the homemade paprika pasta with asparagus and squash was over the top. Jane came over and apologized for the wait, in unison we said we don't care, the food is outstanding. My wife had an exceptional red snapper for an entrée and I had the best tasting duck I ever had. I rarely use superlatives like this with restaurants but this place blew us away. Graham the chef came out and we shared some time discussing the food. You absolutely must check this incredible gastronomic experience out.!!!

This place was good but nothing special. My wife and I figured we would give this place a try as it seemed interesting. Having lived in Boston, NY, LA , Tampa and now Asheville we have eaten at all the best restaurants. The food was good but not great and far from being worth the price tag. The decor was horrible (very outdated and mismatched) which resulted in a bland ambiance . The host/waiter was a complete joke, we found him quite arrogant and repulsive. Although it wasn't an absolute horrible experience we found the food at Cask & Kiln to be just as good and the dining area more refined and up to date. The staff at Cask & Kiln were a lot more welcoming as well. Will we ever go back to Folly? The answer to that question is no. If we are ever in the area again we will revisit Cask & Kiln.....that is our recommendation if visiting Wilmington. On one last note, there seemed to be some people inquiring about getting a table, they were turned down because they obviously didn't have reservations which is understandable but what my wife and I did not like was the fact that when the host/waiter turned away he looked at whom we believe to have been the owner and smirked. So pompous, just a total turn off.

We visit Folly every year on a bike tour that we make through western Mass and southern Vermont. Folly is outstanding. Excellent, fresh, local ingredients when possible, but they also have excellent oysters. The flavors in their dishes are delightful. For example, we had a bouillabaisse with a Brazilian twist that was fantastic.Folly is a small place, but they pace their tables so that each party starts by themselves. They give careful attention to each table but they do not hover. This is a place for people who seek exceptional food and sophisticated service.
