I had my bindings mounted with Sports Odyssey Dec 2019.Skis are not heavily used, not damaged, and are treated like treasure. In fact they’re on display when they’re not in use.Day 4/4 skiing Mammoth in CA, powder day, finally using my skis for what they’re made for.Binding RIPS out of the ski causing me to tumble. I was fine, skis were unusable, I had to ski down on 1 ski and rent skis for the second half of the last day costing 2 hours of precious powder.I finally was able to get the owner on the phone, of course like everyone else’s experience..he gave me attitude “these things happen” “contact Marker or K2” “Everything is out of warranty”, “if you want them remounted that’s a service you have to pay for”Very well. How I was skiing, the age or condition of these skis, how they’re handled, are not factors that caused this condition. They’re just not. Assuming that the mounting was performed properly with the appropriate bits and adhesive etc. Not indoor wood glue 👀Excellent skis, excellent bindings, treated perfectly. Period. The weakest link that caused this is Sports Odyssey.It’s not the price of remounting them. It’s the principle, I could have gotten injured, and the incident ruined the last and best day of skiing for me and who I was with.

This place is absolutely terrible, will quite literally scam you for a dollar wherever they can possibly get, workers accidentally made a mistake that led us to believe we had to bring our skis back on the 29th but when we did, they said we were a day late and had to pay extra despite a clear contractual discrepancy on their end. When the manager was called regarding the situation, he said it doesn’t matter if they made a mistake, that we’re the ones who need to pay for it even though the mistake was entirely on them, was also just Grade A rude too. Save yourself the trouble of a crook by going somewhere differently.

The owners are horrible, the equipment is overpriced, and the staff is irresponsible and unreasonable. Our trip ended very stressfully because we decided to rent here. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

Absolutely incredible customer service!Great store layout, knowledgeable AND personable employees with a wide variety of quality equipment and products.I had an issue with a pair of thirtytwo boots purchased 10 months ago. The owner, Steve and one of the wonderful employees, Anastasia went above and beyond to ensure my warranty claim processed and got me in a new pair of boots very quickly.

The owner is very rude and don’t care about the customers at all.We rented 3 pair of snowboard boots from them and one of the boots’ boa system broke on itself on the second run. This is actually not too surprising as the boots looked very old.When we return the boots, the owner took a look at the boots and just tell us to pay for the broken boots. He was extremely rude to me as I was trying to explain the situation, said he “doesn’t want to talk to an outsider” because the boots were rented by my husband and not me. He made it very clear that he doesn’t care about our experience at all.The other staff we encounter was much nicer, but we won’t be ever coming back because of the owner and poor quality of the rental gears.

Don't believe the hype. Behind the smiles and seemingly good prices, they are reluctant to help when you have a problem. They sing a consistent refrain of "it's called customer responsibility". We brought brand new snowboard and bindings last fall. The snowboard is literally coming apart at the seams. They clearly state it's definitely a warranty issue, but were unwilling to help us with that process. We were lied to by Patrick, who stated he could not look up our info as it was not in the computer. We went back the next day, hoping they would help us - we had the purchase price, purchase date and name in hand. The young lady there was looking up our info in the computer, imagine that. She initially couldn't find the info and called her boss for assistance. Steve was this person's name and upon hearing her request, he was very rude, disrespectful and condescending towards us, the customer. Clearly staying, "it's the customers responsibility". While very true, we were asking for help, and his tone was clearly one of "I don't care". The good news is that there are plenty of other ski shops in the valley, and with our family of 6 now living at Mount Snow, we will be in the search for a shop that is willing to help, after they make a sale.

We are not avid skiers but enjoy it twice a year. My family & I had the most pleasant experience at this ski rental shop. Anders was professional & courteous at all times. He was patient with my daughter who could not decide between skiing & snowboarding & even gave her some good tips for both. My husband had to go back with my daughter for different boots. They were so nice & as a team Tyler & Paige got them in and out as fast as they could and back on the slopes comfortably. The rates were amazing and so reasonable I will be back to this ski rental place every year for sure. The return process was in & out as well. The equipment was top of the line ! Thank you Gus & Juan Jose for the assist with carrying all of our ski's !

Steve and his team are the best in the area! Their prices are unbeatable. They work incredibly hard to satisfy their customers and do an amazing job. We bought skis and boots from Steve over 21 years ago and purposely came back years later to buy boots, pants, and accessories specifically from Sports Oddyssey. No need to shop around, just head here!

I demoed skis and my girlfriend rented. The rental boots were great quality, best rental boots I've seen. I ended up buying the demo skis, but prior to buying I had a lot of questions that the staff were eager to answer. All the staff were real nice and ready to answer any questions. I'll be coming back here!

I’m not one to write bad reviews but in this case it is deserved... we have been to this store several times over the past few years for various ski equipment and have had a decent experience. We recently went to rent skis for our children on a Friday and were helped by a friendly staff who recommended we rent for 1 day since the weather was iffy for our second day of skiing and that we should keep an eye on the weather and return their skis by 8:00 PM the following day if we decided to only ski the one day. Saturday night my husband went to the store to return the skis at 7:20 PM and found that it was completely dark and closed. I checked the website (which said it was open until 8:00) and tried calling to see if anyone was still there... no answer. The next morning my husband went back to the store first thing at 7:30 AM to return the skis and was told that we would be charged for 2 day’s because the rental was due back by 6:00 PM. He explained that we were told to have them back by 8:00 PM and their worker said their policy was 6:00 PM so there was nothing they could do. My husband asked to speak to a manager and they called the owner. When my husband explained the situation to the owner, he said that their policy was clearly stated on the paperwork but when he told him that his workers told us 8:00 PM his comment was that he knew this because he was there when they said it!!! He also said that even though they closed early at 7:00, it would have given us an hour grace period to return the skis. My husband explained to him that we have shopped at this store many times in the past but with this experience he would not be seeing his face again. The owner’s reply was “We don’t want to see your face again”.We are beyond shocked by the way an owner would treat his customers. Clearly he could care less about customer service and is only looking to collect your money. Do yourself a favor and keep driving. There are several other ski shops in the area that are more deserving of your business!

Disgusting display from the manager/owner of sports odyssey in Dover today. My 4 year old didn’t need to learn swear words from this guy that lost his ever loving mind because a question was asked. Hey. I get it. It’s presidents weekend and you’re busy, but this guy needs to be on medication. I actually grabbed my kid because I wondered if this guy would resort to violence - because a question was asked. DISGUSTING.We have stopped in at least monthly for six years. This was the shop we told all our guests to rent/buy from. We will never set foot in this place again.I’m sad I have to give them one star.

Great shop and very close to the Mountain!!!I have gotten some great ski and boot deals there. Staff is very helpful especially the guys below in the ski shop!!! They know what they are talking (about skiis as I know nothing about boards) and have provided me with nice demos that I have then purchase.Highly recommend them!

Quick service we rented a snowboard for a child. My kid snapped part of the binding on the first ride down. I did not want to go back to the store, so we continued to practice. 4 hrs later I returned the snowboard and asked for refund (initially I rented for 2 days). No empathy the gentlemen told me that I initialed “no refund” and ripped the security deposit ticket. I tried to ask him for courtesy, and the answer was NO.Being from NY, I am used to rudeness but never lack of empathy.Good luck.

Found great gear for my daughter to play in the snow. Awesome Kamik winter coat, sweet Sorel snow boots. All on sale, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. In & out in less than 15 minutes. Will definitely return for future needs.

I always suggest sports oddyssey to any friends looking for daily or seasonal rentals! Also they have a good selection of ski wear at a decent price. The staff there is always nice, happy, and extremely intelligible for what you need or want. Make sure to check out their end of season blow out sale if you're looking to save a bit.

Rented skis on Thursday night and was supposed to keep them for 2 days and return on Saturday night. Kid got sick so couldn’t ski on Saturday so returned the skis early morning but they still charged for the full day.
