Omg 😱 what a sad day to say how unhappy ā˜¹ļø I am of this company. They do not follow through on issues that they promise to take care of. Especially on a brand new RV. Everything you point out to be done and it arrives undone. Then wen you go to operate these issues and it’s undone ur the blame!!!!!ā˜¹ļøI would never recommend this company to anyone. Customer service sucksPetes RV is at the bottom of the list.J.A brand new Airstream and cabinets coming apart, lock doors don’t close or lock. And most of all the retractable awning has a problem coming out and going back in. They refuse to help with anything to be resolved. The worst dealership I’ve ever dealt with. Run the other way … if ur looking for an RV…I even try to contact the Manufacturer and once I got their attention, and explain what happened to my awning they tried to say that I abused it!!!!Crazy, they can’t even justify wen there wrong.. I ABUSED A BRAND NEW AIRSTREAM BY JUST OPENING THE AWNING. THE ENGINEERS WHO DESIGNED THIS HAS NO KNOWLEDGE WHATSOEVER IN DESIGN. THIS LENGTH AND SIZE DEFINITELY NEEDS A THIRD ARM SUPPORT. A 33’ trailer with arms on each end and no support in the middle to give it better strength to manage it to go up or down. What the HELL is wrong with these people??????Don’t buy from these people they only want ur money šŸ’° …..Ur not going to believe this, now into 3 months, I still get no reply to see if anything has been resolved, except now more cabinets are falling apart and still no compassion whatsoever in resolving my awning issue. You are better off buying a used trailer that has been seasoned. At least you know what to expect, but no comparison to bad service from a dealership who is suppose to help and give you the benefit of the doubt. But not these folks. šŸ» šŸ» šŸ» šŸ» šŸ» šŸ». When ur gone ur history to them!!!!!! 😫🤬🤬🤬😔Well here it is, 6 months later and still no help, solutions, or even a visit to accommodate my issues. They talk a good game but that’s to impress those who read these reviews. Every time I write a review they will pick up the phone and call me and ask me what can they do to help !!!!!!!!!! If I have to repeat myself over and over again what’s the use of calling me and you do NOTHING…..🤬🤯 Maybe if I get the right person who knows how to run a business and to resolve complaints from customers, they just might have a successful business.I will keep complaining until I get something done!!!!!!!!!😔

Can't find the review we wrote a month ago that Pete's begged us to take down. So here it goes again. We purchased our unit from here and brought it back for basic service - not a big deal. They parked it in an unsecured lot a town over from where we dropped it and it disappeared! Presumed stolen at this point. They did not realize until we came to our pick-up appointment. They do not care. The ONLY time I got a phone call from the owner was to yell at us about the review I left about our experience. Well guess what? I'm back to share that our beloved travel trailer was negligently stored in unsecured, unmonitored lot and we now have the knowledge, fresh from Pete's RV insurance company, that Pete's is NOT INSURED for what happened to us. They left our camper unmonitored and unlocked for two months and feel ZERO responsibility that it was stolen while in their care. If you need maintenance and bring your camper here you may not get it back. Don't forget your own insurance, because the don't have any. Also - it needs to be said they call and ask people to take down negative reviews, so this rating is skewed. You were warned.EDIT IN RESPONSE TO COMPANY:The Vermont location, to my knowledge, is the headquarters of Pete's RV. I spoke with Tom who is in Vermont, because there is no management in our local location. This review is honest, and gentle as I have held back some of the more damning details. I'm disappointed management has not bothered to contact me personally so this can be resolved. Or, I am happy to share that we were told if we wanted our unit to be safe we should not have brought it to you. This speaks volumes.

My experience with Pete's was fantastic. I rather abruptly decided I wanted a camper for a family reunion/camping trip in July so I went on Pete's website and compiled a small list of used units I was interested in. I called the store, asked for Sales, and Jonathan answered the phone. I explained to him I was in the market for a used camper and was up front that I wasn't necessarily looking for the finest used example on the lot, rather something fairly inexpensive, maybe needs a little work or cleaning up, but something with Solid bones. He was able to meet with me that same afternoon and I showed him which units I had written down to look at. He was very personable and showed me everything I wanted to see and was very direct on any and all known issues with the units. I chose the unit I wanted right then and there and asked him to get the paperwork together for me when he had a chance. Within 2 hours he called me up and gave me the numbers, I negotiated one small "favor" into the deal that they agreed to, I gave him a deposit for the camper and documents were signed electronically. Jon told me their orientation team would be in touch to set up a time for a walk through. Sure enough Corey calls me a few days later and went out of his way to set up a time that worked best with my schedule. The day came, I went in and chatted with Jon for a few minutes before finalizing paperwork with Kyle. Kyle was quick, efficient, and very personable. I returned to the waiting area and a few minutes later Corey came to get me. He did a very thorough walk through, answering all of my questions-to include his recommendations for camper accessories I had been looking at. He even walked me inside to show me some of them and explain pro's and con's of the various items. All in all it was a quick painless process and although I was only getting an inexpensive used camper, I didn't feel as though they treated me any differently than if I was buying a brand new unit. I went in wanting something my family could enjoy at an entry level price, and I'm very happy with the experience. If we end up enjoying, and using, the camper enough to feel comfortable making a larger investment into camping I'll definitely be back to Pete's when the time comes.

I brought the front wheels from my Kubota tractor to Pete's to have the tires replaced last summer. The tractor sat for a month or so before I used it, and when I went to use it I noticed one of the tires was flat. I brought the tire back to Pete's, and told him what had happened and he told me he would take care of it. He told me that the tire would be ready by Friday but I had to wait until the following week to pick it up. When I picked it up, he charged me for putting a tube in the tire. A Couple of months later I went to use my tractor again and notice the other tire was flat, my question is, if they can't seal the bead, in why don't they put the tubes in at the time they replaced the tires so the customer can avoid the extra labor cost and inconvenience of taking the tire back off, bringing it back to Pete's, and then waiting a week to get the tire back.

We have bought to campers from Pete’s rv. And we shoulda learned the first time. They only care when it comes to selling. Once you sign the papers they treat you like crap. First they charge a $900 fee to ā€œprepā€ and ā€œcleanā€. Neither camper we bought from them were cleaned. And they both were brand new. The first one we bought they damaged before we even had the chance to pick it up. The most recent one we bought when we showed up the heat wasn’t working. The ā€œcomputer Brain ā€œ that controls everything (lights, heat, etc, slide outs) on the camper wasn’t working. The camper was filthy. The bunks in the toy hauler part wouldn’t go down. The moldings were falling off. Once we pulled off the lot w it the instant hot water wouldn’t work. We called them and basically were told to wait until fall then they could fix it w the warranty work. After spending almost $100,000 on this camper. So we did. In the fall we called again they gave us an appt date for dec. We had it there and went in w the list of work it needed. As they were told on the phone as well. Some of it warranty work. When we got there we were told it would be a month before they could get to it. Altho we had the appt. we had paid for indoor storage at home so now the camper was sitting outside in one of their lots. 3 months passed and NOTHING got fixed. They managed to tear our floor ( which was perfectly fine before). And now it has to be replaced because there is no fixing it. Ruined one of our jacks while it was there and now it leaks. Told us they fixed a few things. When we decided we had enough and went to pick it up to bring it somewhere else nothing had been done. Other than ruining our floor and jack and now we have to tow it somewhere else to get it fixed. I would never recommend them to anybody. They will be the best when your looking but the second you sign get ready to deal with the biggest neglect, rudeness, lies and pure b.s. i have no idea how this buisness stays in business after the way they treat their customers

Worst Company EVER. This company is no longer the same, Shawn really should be ashamed of this operation.I had my camper serviced, simple service took over 3 months, replaced my Motherboard (the entire electrical Brain of the Camper) I went and picked up my camper and brought home, maybe 10min away. About 1 week later we went to take out the batteries due to the cold weather to discover it was at some point on fire. Strange right, we are being blamed. They asked me to return the camper immediately so they can inspect it, fast forward ANOTHER 2-3 months, they told me the diagnosis was my solar panels were over charging my battery….STRANGE, I don’t have solar panels. Then they are blaming me that I had a jack fall on it and sparked a fire, STRANGE again, it melted the jack chain and it welded it to the handle, there is absolutely no physical way this could of been the culprit, it is physically impossible. Again, all this after they touched the main frame of the electrical. They are good at selling you a camper, but service……AWFUL, they even called the cops on us as we were upset over this situation. MEANWHILE, the service manager TONY(is a complete coward) wouldn’t acknowledge us, or speak with us, when we were speaking with the cops and the service writers, all he did was watch from the door (COWARD). The cops were great, actually helped us as this will cause this to circle back to PETES RV. The cops were very helpful, Thank you Petes or calling them. Now we have an insurance investigator and the Fire Marshall involved. PETES will be in serious trouble over this. Also if we go camping and the camper happens to catch fire over this ( we have 3 kids) PETES RV will be 1000% liable for any injury, damage and hospitalization if occurs due to their lack of due diligence.BUYER BEWARE—- Petes RV used too be the best, now they are just trying to become a giant in the industry and there service and support is absolutely awful!!!If Sean happens to read this, I welcome hearing from you on this. This is a seriuos issue and could cause a tragic accident. The service techs have no training, at least no where near enough to Know what they are doing or talking about. As Solar panels don’t exist on my unit.Mike M

A huge shout out to Michelle in service. She did some repairs on our camper for us on site and she was amazing. Yes, she fixed what needed to be fixed, but she also had the best attitude about it. She is a great asset to Pete’s and turned the experience into a really positive one.An update: our camper needed repairs that required it spending the winter at Pete’s. Anyone who buys a new camper knows it will need some warranty work. This is our fourth one. Bill Perry has been taking care of us for this process. This is the first time we have had this level of communication about what is going on with our camper and it has changed our experience greatly. I don’t have to wonder if it will be ready before the season starts. I don’t have to worry about what is going on because he has communicated regularly. This is a game changer for how we feel about the service. Keep up the great work Bill.I am hoping to update again when we get the camper back because I am hopeful that the work will be well done.

When in dire need of service there is no room for being placed on hold, being told, no one is available, or someone will call you back. Our furnace failed on the coldest night of the year! Water lines stopped running, RV living room temp dropped to 34. Next AM, Service Manager Chris Wilson made himself immediately available to walk me through diagnosing the problem which revealed a failed blower motor. He then guided me by phone in removing the furnace enabling my bringing it to him for his immediate attention. My wife and I stayed in a local hotel overnight and returned home yesterday with a new motor, a functioning furnace and the means to restore life to our RV. No, reinstalling it was not easy, but Chris, again, took all the time I needed to guide me in accomplishing that final critical task. Then, he ensured it functioned in all respects, even calling me later after hours to check on our rewarming process.Doesn't get better than that! Our need was pretty extreme, under the circumstances. Chris Wilson went above and beyond, doing whatever it took to ensure we were safe in our time of need and that our heating system was back up and running as soon as possible.UPDATE - 1 week sinceFurnace blower has been running like never before, soft, smooth, much more quiet, and comes on less often during similar temperatures. However, in order to get heat for us rapidly, guiding me by phone at a distance, Chris had me cover one of the four heat duct openings behind the furnace with metal foil tape. He suspected the duct hose had disconnected, but didnt know which section of RV was supplied by that hose.At least three sections would get warm while he figured out what's missing. Two days ago, Chris Wilson earned another 5 STARS!! traveling an hour to me as I'm stranded with no truck and unable to bring the RV to S. Burlington. Crawling behind the furnace, somehow avoiding a morass of wires, hoses, tubes, components and heat vent hoses, Chris examined the setup. He found the empty and detached heat duct hose on the floor which was supposed to be attached to the empty 4" hole behind the furnace. It had never been attached!!! Trying to reattach it was impossible as it was too short. Apparently, during assembly the installer chose to quit, drop a hose cut too short on to the floor leaving an empty hole behind the furnace and the new owner without heat in 1/3 of their RV, but with no easy way to know that and why their heat was inadequate. Since that hose joins its neighbor to supply the large livingroom, its heat vents carry some flow, so without comparative objective flow measurements, plenty of experience and the perspective of a prior owner, one wouldn't know the reason their living room was so cold. Chris had to switch this short hose with a longer hose, supplying all zones now with heat. We had been receiving only 3/4 of the furnace heat output to the living quarters, poor heat at that due to a faulty blower fan. Now, with a new blower fan and all heat vents operating, supplying all zones in the living quarters, our RV is warmer than its ever been. We no longer have to dial in 77 degrees to try to get 70 in the living room, nor run a space heater in the bedroom. We'll undoubtedly use less propane! In addition, should no longer dangerously dehydrate ourselves as before at pathologic levels which forced full time hydration efforts. We're now enjoying our RV only because Chris Wilson went above and beyond for customers in need. We are truly grateful!

We were visiting VT when our refrigerator in our new Grand Design fifth wheel decided to stop working. We could not find anyone to help as everyone was backed up for months. After several conversations with Grand Design, they worked with Allen at Pete’s to get it replaced in time for us to head to our next destination on time! Mac Kennedy, our advisor, even worked with us to fix a few other minor items & a recall. Our tech was Derrick. Everyone was very helpful & worked with us to make sure we were happy with the service. I can’t thank the team enough for saving us in a stressful situation!

Had a great experience picking up our new Sunset Trail. The team discovered an issue with the unit one day before I took delivery, reached out to me immediately, and found a replacement unit within days to make it right. Went above and beyond to make the deal work to my satisfaction. Would definitely recommend the Pete's team to family and friends.

Outstanding customer service and communication especially parts manager Greg! Purchased a brand new trailer from Pete's RV in Connecticut that had some issues and rather than work with me they told me to contact the Burlington VT location. Greg listened to my concerns and worked with me from first contact August 22 through October 04 to resolve all my concerns and issues with the camper even though they didn't sell me the unit. Pete's RV does have a large volume of inventory to choose from but I would encourage one to contact the folks in Vermont. I HIGHLY recommend this location however I can't say the same for the Connecticut dealership. The trip is worth your time and satisfaction! Thank you again Greg and staff for helping us!

We had an issue with our brake controller while approaching Burlington. We called Pete’s RV to see if they might be able to look at the controller. Mac and Chris could not have been more helpful. They are a very busy operation and they took the time to diagnose the issue and get us back on the road. We were very impressed with how they fit us in and cannot say enough about the entire experience. The dealership obviously excels at what they do. Lee Romano

We ordered a 22 ft. Forest River Wildwood travel trailer from Pete’s RV in SouthBurlington Vt in June of 2021 and our family drove up there to pick it up on 6/28.When we arrived, we were greeted by chaos. They were supposed to have our trailer ready to pick up with accessories we had ordered, but they couldn’t find many of the parts. We waited in the lounge and when we went to fill out the paperwork and pay, they couldn’t coordinate anything. The different departments of Pete’s Rv don’t seem to communicate with each other. Our technician was completely clueless. Walking through the parking area to inspect our trailer one of the employees nearly ran our family over. They never hooked up the console for the camera on the back of the camper as they were supposed to. We left and drove about 15 min to the campground we were staying at. I had never pulled a travel trailer and it felt odd.We got to the campground and got set up. When we want to leave several days later and I was hooking up the trailer, I noticed that the pin on the trailer hitch was missing.Pete’s RV HAD NEVER INSTALLED THE PIN in our new travel trailer hitch. If Ihadn’t by chance noticed this, we would have had a terrible accident on our way home on the interstate.I called Pete’s RV and they had a technician come and install the missing pin. The technician said its lucky that we noticed the missing pin or we could have been KILLED. He said he wasn’t surprised this happened based on his experience working there.DO NOT BUY FROM OR TRUST PETES RV!!!!!

I bought a very gently and minimally used 2019 Jayco Greyhawk from Petes RV. We took delivery and took the RV for a weekend expedition and found 4 items that were not functioning correctly. The radio went into scan mode every time we hit the volume button, the Bluetooth microphone as not working, the Black water sensor was always reading 2/3 full (after repeated attempts to fill/empty the tank) and a curtain that separates the driver compartment from the main cabin was missing. Everything else was mint! During our weekend of using the RV I contacted Pete's and notified them of the issues. They scheduled an appointment and in about a week's time had 3 of the 4 issues resolved. The only issue they didn't resolve is the missing curtain. They said it was not included as it has always been missing. That is very likely because we looked at many campers and I'm not surprised nor disappointed with their response. I have heard and read others comments about Pete's not following through with fixing items found to be lacking, but that is not my experience. I promised them I would write this review because I was very happy with their sales and service teams. Thank you Pete's RV! I am looking forward to many years of use, adventures and super life experiences!

Pete’s RV is a great place to buy your next RV. They have the best team at their Vermont dealership. Everyone is very helpful and accommodating. I would like to give a HUGE shout out to our sales person Cam!!! You deserve a 10 out of 10!!! He is very helpful throughout the entire process. He is very knowledgeable about the units we were interested in. He was never pushy or rushing us to make a decision like the other dealership we went to. Thank you to Cam and Pete’s RV! We highly recommend you go to Pete’s RV!!!

We recently purchased a 2023 Forest River Legend camper from Pete's in Vermont. Overall, the experience was good. Nice group of people. There were a few miscommunications with the sales person and playing a bit of phone tag but in the end the service and walkthrough prior to the final signing went very well.

Sales are great and I'll give them that. But service is not the best. You bring your camper there you get it back maybe in 4 to 5 months. And you get it back damaged. Would not recommend bringing your camper in for service.

I am very impressed with the customer service I received at Pete’s. Everyone was friendly and helpful. When Thor delayed sending a part and we had to reschedule the repair, they were able to accommodate me with the reschedule very quickly. Since I live in my RV, I was worried about where to stay if the work couldn’t be completed in 1 day. They allowed me to stay on the lot and offered water and electric hook up and even had a loaner car available so I could run some errands! Prices are high, but you get what you pay for. Thank you Chris and Mak!

We purchased an Airstream in 2021. We were pleased with how it went but had a difficult time getting service when needed. Then we learned that the wait for service was shortened and had routine worked done in August 2023.We were very pleased how it went, especially because how Mak took the time to explain all and Allen took the time to provide advice. Very pleased in the improvements.

What a horrible dealership. Go somewhere else to get a used camper. We started home from Pete's and one of the tires blew. This took out the tire, fender, put a hole in the floor of the camper, and dented the camper. Astounding since every buyer has to pay $500.00 for a safety inspection. A stranger helped us get the spare on. It didn't have enough air. Once all this was done, we went by the ferry and not 20 miles and a second tire blew. Now there are 2 state troopers helping us find a place off the road. Both Rich and myself are now calling Pete's with no help. Always put on hold. One particular response from Kyle Williams was "whatever" then put us on hold. He is the one who takes your money. Finally in service we were given the instructions to call a tire repair company and the dealership will cover the bill. Warren Tire was wonderful . Four new tires were placed. Of course this has now been hours and we were hours still from home. The second blow out also took out flooring and when replacing the tires we were told a 3rd tire was going to blow. This was the tire the service department had used chalk on to show where the belts were broken. When all said and done, we decided we didn't want the camper. Not even 12 hrs after getting it. Was told by the service department to find a parking lot and leave the camper and they will pick it up. Left it at Big Earls restaurant. Took pictures of having to crank down the gears because the battery they said was good had died. $500.00 for this SAFETY INSPECTION. DON'T GO THERE.

We ordered a Jayco Redhawk 24B in July. Bryon was extremely helpful working with us and was able to give us a good price for our trade in (Jayco 5th wheel). We had heard from other sites that the lead time to get a 24B built was at least 6 months. We ordered ours in July and we picked it up Nov 22 (4 months!) The transaction went very smoothly. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Bryon for his excellent communication and to Max for giving us the lay of the land in our new rv. All in all it was a very good experience.

Honestly, I'm a little frustrated. If the camper we bought wasn't exactly what we were looking for, we wouldn't have bought it from them. Yes, it's used, so no, I don't expect perfection, how ever, they charge a $500 fee to make sure all the appliances and everything worked as it should. We'll our first weekend out, we found the Grey water tank was more than clogged. We tried to flush it through the flush port and found out there's a busted pipe somewhere because, in a matter of only seconds, my bathroom was flooded. Then we found out the water heater doesn't work. I reached out to the sales rep and was completely ignored. Also, the rails for the slide out outside kitchen were busted.

I have been ghosted by some rando on a dating site before, but never by an RV salesman. Well, until now. I assume it's because the bait and switch game they were playing wasn't working even on the phone. I requested information about a specific camper, but then noticed the ad I saw it posted in was from 2021. It's October 2023 now. The salesman insisted they still had the unit, but also told me they had taken in newer year trades that I could buy for the same price. Then ghosted me when I declined something different options. I called and left messages twice and had offered to drive two and a half hours to look at the camper I wanted. My best advice is to stay away. Buy something off FB.

Alan, our service technician, was absolutely amazing. We had several repairs and adjustments that needed to be made to our Airstream Interstate and everything was looked after.Alan spent quite a bit of time explaining different technical systems in the van and we left feeling more confident of our ability to handle everything.Pete's RV Center came through with flying colors.

One star is one more then I would’ve put, couldn’t put less then one. Pete’s RV is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Bought a new camper from them in 2019. Very nice to us until we handed them a check… had an issue first time out with the camper spring of 2019, they seemed to care less. Three months waiting period for them to even look at it. Didn’t want camper laid up all summer, I fixed it myself in 15 minutes. today I called the parts department, looking for a part, had the part number and description of part. person did not want to listen to me, attitude the whole time. Told me to take a picture of the part and email it to him and he would look at it when he had a chance. I will never go there again, ever…
