If I could give this place 100 stars I would. I absolutely had an incredible time seeing the Solar Eclipse and want to say shoutout to everyone there from the staff to management for making the Solar Eclipse event a reality. The entire staff was friendly, accommodating, and hospitable. With the gorgeous mountain views in the back, it was magic. Food was also delicious!

We have lodged at Shore Acres several times since the new ownership. Always skeptical whenever there is a change in ownership/management, we at first did not know what to expect. However, we weren't disappointed. Thus far, all of our expectations have been met. Friendly staff, clean and well appointed rooms, excellent food and waitstaff, all overlooking a gorgeous view of the lake to the east. The deck off each room is a great place to start the day with morning coffee and a sunrise or to end the day with a glass of wine or your favorite beverage. On occasion we have even made the trip from Burlington just to enjoy a bottle of wine on the lawn and enjoy the outdoors and the view. The purple martins are amazing to watch. The grounds are big enough that my wife and I are able to get in our morning walk without leaving the property. August is upon us and we're eagerly awaiting our October stay.

Great little place for small weddings or a group getaway. Open your door to beautiful Lake Champlain and mountains in the far distance. Peaceful surroundings. I've done lots of wedding hair at this location. Just a quaint atmosphere!

I brought my mom here for a special dinner and we had a wonderful time. The service was friendly, attentive and very professional. The food was delicious. I had a fish that was shipped in from Hawaii, which was beautifully prepared and presented. My mom had duck cooked to perfection. The staff knows how to make your evening special, and we were very impressed. Hands-down one of the best places in the islands. Every seat in the dining room has a beautiful view.Food & drinks: I can’t wait to go again and check out the Zulu bar!

Food was mediocre at best and priced like it was top shelf. This used to be our go-to fine dining spot in the Champlain Isles but they've gone downhill recently.

We have eaten at Shore Acres for years. The location is wonderful and there is nothing better than sitting on the lawn in Adirondack chairs, overlooking the lake, on a summer’s evening. We arrived about 40 minutes early for our 6:30 reservation so we could enjoy a cocktail prior to dinner.Again, when checking in with the hostess, with the restaurant half eating, there was no sense of welcome, unusual for a small inn and restaurant. When we returned to the hostess after relaxing on the lawn area, we were seated. We did not see a waitperson and had to go up to the hostess after 30 minutes and ask if we were going to see a waitperson. Apparently a server went home (the restaurant was half empty) and the new server was not made aware that her station included our table).Overall, there is an apparent lack of training for all the staff, and it is all rather matter-of-fact, and gives the impression that they do not care. This is unfortunate, since the good is generally good, but there is a distinction between dining and just eating. It is unfortunate that such a beautiful location and dining room makes you feel that they do not care whether you enjoy your meal or not.Hopefully, they will improve, but our two ventures there this summer have been disappointing. We may try again next year, or maybe not.

Only ate in the restaurant and it was a mixed bag. I had pasta with lamb which tasted like it had been in the fridge for days. Store bought pasta was a disappointment especially since there’s a local pasta company a couple miles from here. Kids meals were all frozen food - frozen fries and frozen chicken strips. Not exactly fine dining for the kids. The only good dish was the fish special my wife got which she loved but I thought was just ok. We’ll give them another try. Nice server and nice little restaurant, food was not as great as we expected. In response to the restaurant saying I have an agenda and my reviews are false, my agenda is only high quality food when I’m paying $200 for dinner. We did not get our money’s worth and we did not think it lives up to a real fine dining experience. I was not rude to any servers and have no interest or agenda. It’s a factual review.

My wife and I had dinner at Shore Acres on September 25th, and everything was perfect! The view of the grounds and of the lake was amazing! We both had the salmon dish, and it couldn’t have been better! Our server was Ava, and she did a great job making us feel right at home! She is a real credit to this establishment. We will be back very soon!

Our server was Jen and she was fantastic! There is a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. The ambiance is great. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, bacon wrapped scallops, chilled asparagus and a caesar salad for appetizers. We ordered the duck breast and cod for our entrees. Both were exquisite. The cod was one of the BEST dishes I've ever eaten in my life! Please - go and order the cod. You will not be disappointed. For dessert, we had the Boston creme pie & the lemon bars. Both were delicious.I wish I lived closer - - - I would go here every change I'd get!!!!!Thank you, Jen and the rest of the staff for making our experience a memorable one!!

They make you feel like you were part of their family and they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and happy!! Rooms are super clean and organized with amazingly water view. So I went to the restaurant for both brunch and dinner. It was wonderful! The service was amazing. My pancakes came out raw and I asked if I could try something else and not only did they let me but it came out within minutes! It is a well oiled machine for sure. The land is so gorgeous. There's a playground, tons of green grass to play in, beach, kayak, canoes, a large dock with swim access and boat access, and even giant floatables. The rooms are quaint and comfortable.I would be there again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I stayed for the first time last October and we booked another stay for this July. The rooms were so comfortable..the views are breathtaking..the outside fire pit tables make it super cozy and romantic. Working as a school nurse, this was the most relaxed I have ever been and I cannot wait to return. The restaurant does not disappoint. Food was delicious, excellent wine selection and the service was great. Highly recommend!Noteworthy details: Love the lights surrounding the property at night

Where else can you take a leisurely stroll on beautiful open grounds and take in picturesque views of Lake Champlain merging with the mountains! The wildflower fields offer a great backdrop for taking pics (with your dog)! I could look at this beautiful landscape forever and never tire of its view.SA is a small, quiet, friendly place to relax, unplug, read a book, frolic in the lake, listen to the birds chirping, enjoy a cold beverage, and listen to and enjoy the calm energy from the sound effects coming off the lake.Morning- guests are welcomed by a tasty buffet breakfast (good coffee too) served in the main dining room. You can easily score a table with the best view (actually all tables have phenomenal views of the lake). Or opt to bring your food with you and dine right outside your room. Lunch is now available at SA so you don't have to interrupt your day by leaving! Bravo offers the convenience of items like tasty burgers and sandwiches. Dinner- guests are spoiled by the exceptional cuisine served in the main dining room.Shore Acres offers a unique experience. Pull up an Adirondack chair, enjoy the outstanding lakefront views and stay awhile!

We have been camping in Vermont for 3 summers. We enjoy our many trips each year to Shore Acres Restaurant and Bravo Zulu. The location is inviting and relaxing. The service to be excellent from calling to make a reservation to the servers and personnel in the restaurants. The food is delicious and well presented. We highly recommend both restaurants onsite.

My husband and I stayed for the second year in a row at the Shore Acres Inn. We dined at the restaurant and enjoyed the area. The Inn had extremely comfortable beds, stunning views, and promised to be the most relaxing vacation. The Inn's restaurant has delicious food and a fabulous wine list. There are plenty of things to do: Church street in Burlington VT is about a 45 minute ride. We enjoyed the shops, food, and a tour on the Ethan Allen Spirit. On the islands we enjoyed looking for the fairy castles in South Hero Vermont, Snow Farm Vineyard, Bravo Zulu restaurant, Pier Bar and the North Hero country store, along with the farmers market. I have attached pictures that shows our trip and my favorite purchase at the farmers market, jewelry from Amanda Gervais.I highly recommend staying at the Shore Acres Inn and enjoying the islands.Rooms: Very comfortable with spectacular views.Nearby activities: Snow farm vineyard, fairy castles in south hero, Bravo Zulu restaurant on site, Farmers market and Church StreetFood & drinks: The Inn's restaurant food is excellent and the wine selection is generous.

I have been coming to Shore Acres for years with my family when we are up at Lake Champlain each summer and each summer it seems to get better and better. Our visit last summer was the best one yet! The food, in particular, was delicious, and now that I have children of my own, I appreciate how easy it is to have them there for dinner, too. They can eat and then go play at the beach while the adults finish and chat. It's such a delight!Food & drinks: The food and drinks really are special - delcious and unique offerings, without being to frilly. Everything is cooked to perfection! And the cocktails and beer/wine are top notch! Can't wait to get back here in a few weeks!

I've been blessed to stay at Shore Acres for the past 4 years, a few times each year. Growing up in this area and moving away, it's always my favorite vacation spot now when I come home. The owners have consistently gone out of their way to talk with us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. This location is truly a hidden secret and could never disappoint. From the wide own fields, the views of the lake and mountains, the delicious food in the dining room, and the warm and welcoming staff, it's truly an experience that we have been most fortune to have.

My wife and I have been a TOP FAN of Shore Acres for 30 years. The facility has always been a top favorite location for bringing friends via Boat and Car. Under the new ownership, the facility has greatly improved with many amenities such as more boating dock space, fire pits on the lake side lawn, and a wonderful Beach Side Bar and fast food called Bravo Zulu. Once you experience the facility and FANTASTIC food in both locations, you too will be a regular customer. We hope to see you there - just look for the Blue Cobalt Boat pulling up to the Dock around 4:30.

We have always had a wonderful experience at Shore Acres, whether spending the night or just going up for dinner. Our most recent and important experience came during COVID. We were planning on having our wedding at Shore Acres on September 12, 2020, but due to the pandemic had to cancel. However, we still had our wedding there. We did have some friends and family there as they never cancelled their reservations! On September 11, 2021, we had our wedding celebration with friends and family, 50 in total. Of course during this time, Shore Acres had been sold and the new owners had taken over. Our plans for our wedding transitioned very smoothly over with the new owners. Our celebration day was gorgeous, many of our friends had never been to Shore Acres and were totally impressed. The food was wonderful and the serving staff were pleasant and professional. It couldn't have been a better day.We have made it a tradition to celebrate our wedding anniversary with dinner and an overnight at Shore Acres. Living not far from Shore Acres, we tend to take a ride and enjoy a delicious dinner during the season. For anyone who is wondering where to have their wedding we highly recommend Shore Acres. You won't be disappointed.Marie and Michael Kravetz

Our family tradition is to dine at Shore Acres restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The food is always excellent, and the service is exceptionally good. The location and ambience is perfect, with the purple martins putting on an "air show" every evening. Views from every table are great, and a stroll around the grounds is a perfect end to the day.

I just can’t say enough about what a gem Shore Acres is! I have booked a week-long stay in July at this ‘hidden gem’ for the past several years, and have been wowed each time I have stayed - the ‘ambiance’ of Shore Acres is so unique - love the rooms (fabulous breakfasts!), the setting (right on gorgeous Lake Champlain!), the staff and truly all aspects of this lakeside resort. I had the pleasure of dining in the restaurant this July, and was blown away by the food, setting (the view!!), AND the service - I live in an urban area, in proximity to a number of Michelin starred restaurants - Shore Acres competes very well with these ‘city stars’ - I have already have my reservation made for next July! Can’t wait to return!Noteworthy details: Having lakeside furniture/recliners, towels, kayaks, a dock and paddle boards available daily, plus the tennis courts, shuffle-board ‘court’ at lakeside, and kid-friendly climbing scape (the ark!) are all wonderful amenities - not to mention the lawn space to land your helicopter when having a great meal at the restaurant! Fire-pits at lakeside for evening enjoyment is also fabulous - and the lakeside table-for-six, staffed by the restaurant, is exceptional - I LOVE Shore Acres!

Had dinner in the restaurant which was super busy. I was impressed they were very accommodating to restricted diet and even came back to ask questions and make sure certain ingredients were ok. That’s good service considering how busy. Portions were a bit small but delicious food, very interesting menu - everything from elk sliders to swordfish but simple things too like chicken breast and mashed potatoes.

Great place, great view on the lake and food is good too. We went there on the fly my wife and I for our wedding anniversary. It was end of the season (October). There was an issue with the room (we could hear rodent scratching, minus 1 star) but they gave us another one with the smile. Very professional. We enjoyed our stayRooms: Comfy rooms, great ambiance

We discovered this place by accident last Fall and ended up staying 2 days. Idyllic location, charming property, the kindest and most attentive staff, unbeatable views, and…THE BEST restaurant we’ve visited in a long time. The pork chop changed our lives. The included breakfast was equally lovely with stunning views of the lake. We cannot wait to return!!!Rooms: Updated rooms are clean quiet and convenient. All overlook the lake. We wish we could live here.Safety: Very quiet property. Seemed like our own little secret so we felt very safe.Food & drinks: The restaurant on-site is incredible. Food and service cannot be beat. Seasonal menus, upscale but relaxed atmosphere, lovely breakfast included

Wife and I have spent time at Shore Acres in the past, many times. We have enjoyed our stay there every time we visit. So much so, that we have encouraged some of our friends to join us, and they all agree that our time as quests has been one of the best they have had anywhere. Highly recommend and will continue to return to relax and enjoy the hospitality shown to us. Thank you for allowing me to express our feelings. Stay safe. See you soon.Rooms: Clean, neat, all round favorite place to be. Attention to customers needs fulfilled always.Noteworthy details: Always treated like friends, insteadof just customers. Quality and friendliness above any other venues.
