We have brought our dog Lucy to Good Dog Groomers several times and Melissa and her crew never disappoint. Lucy always comes back happy, smelling absolutely amazing and she is given the perfect cut every time. Also worth mentioning is the professionalism and excellent communication from the staff. 10/10 would recommend!

I brought my golden retriever in this past week to get her first professional groom. This sort of thing is definitely not her favorite so I was slightly worried about how it was going to go. After 15 minutes or so I got a text from Good Dog Grooming assuring me that Shiloh was doing great which was a sigh of relief for me. I appreciated their communication with me throughout and she looked and smelt beautiful when I picked her up! Definitely would recommend!

I booked four appointments to have our dogs' nails trimmed, this on two separate days since I didn't want to drive four dogs to the groomer at one; so two two dog appointments for Day A and Day B.The appointments on Day B got canceled due to an emergency on their end. They reached out and told me they'd be in touch via phone the next day to reschedule. That never happened so I booked two additional appointments on Day A as well, with a different groomer. I still have the booking confirmations and will be happy to attach them should the owner dispute this fact.When we arrived, they could only find two reservations and were rather rude about it. No "hello, how are you" or a smile. In a huffy tone, Melissa told us that she could fit us in but it didn't sound courteous, more of a "fine, I'll be doing you a favor.". I should have walked out but I figured "how bad can this be". Well, turns out pretty bad.Folks didn't seem to actually like dogs. Our pups were literally dragged off to the nail-trimming station. They're all trained and heel if treated properly (i.e. told to heel, come along, or - worst case - lured by treats). We don't physically manhandle our dogs.While that was happening, another dog barked in his/her crate. Melissa just turned and shouted "shut up" at the dog repeatedly while on her cell phone washing another dog across the salon. Totally unprofessional.It felt impersonal, like handling pieces of furniture and rushing things. Maybe just an off day? I won't be giving this another shot. All of our dogs are trained, and even the oldest, a 10 year old CGC came out anxious. It totally sucked.

We've tried a few places in Central VT but GoodDog is by far the best option for dog grooming. It's clean and spacious and we are always happy with the end result. Bonus, its in a great location so while you wait you can enjoy cafes, go to the park or do some downtown shopping.

My dog Odin (1 year) was nervous, as it was his first time getting groomed professionally. Everyone at Good Dog was super accommodating to him, and even offered to split his visit into two days so he wouldn’t be stressed. He finished his hair cut on the second day, without stress. I can’t thank them enough for turning something stressful for him into a great experience!

I booked 4 of my 5 dogs 2 weeks ago, best haircut my Buddy Bishon ever had, one nail not clipped on Lola Cava-Poo, and little blind Maxie Dachshund had a couple of knots under his armpit. Overall dogs happy, I tipped 18%. At that time I talked to them about their lack of communication response, especially to a first time customer. Booked our little Zoey poodle for 1 week later. Building home and all hell broke loose within an hour of appt and husband forgot to take her. Booked her for Sept 17 on web, after trying unsuccessfully to call them, again. I received the following text from them:“Good morning, we were unable to approve your online booking request due to a conflict in our schedule. We do not have any grooming appointments available for a full haircut until end of October. We recommend trying dogs etc in Stowe or Country pampered paws in east Montpelier. Thank you. -Good Dog! Grooming“....that is neither professional nor reliable.

Took my senior pup to Good Dog for the first time last week. Melissa and Kara were very nice and professional. My dog gets kind of anxious in her old age and is weary of meeting new people, but they did a great job with her. Oh yeah, the old girl looks and smells great. Nice job on the nails. I would highly recommend and look forward to bringing her back

Good Dog! Grooming - They jut did a wonderful job on my Golden Retriever! She looks amazing! Brandy is crippled and I worried about her being able to tolerate a bath, body clipping, hair drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. The groomers assured me she would be fine. Evidently, Brandy enjoyed every minute of it! And, she looks beautiful! What a lovely gift to have her begin the summer with her clean, shorter,, stylish Golden Retriever cut and short nails. Thank you, groomers, for your careful attention to Brandy’s needs and the amazing job you did with her. She seems SO proud of herself - hehe!

My doggo is a bit shy, and she was real dirty and shedding like crazy. The gals at Goodog! Grooming did an amazing job cleaning her all up and when I returned she was calm and content. She smells great, her shedding situation is under control, and all for a reasonable price. I would recommend this business 100% and will absolutely be a return customer!

First time I have taken my 2 Hovawarts to get groomed ever. They are 100lbs of fur and energy. When they came out they were so handsome they looked like little bears. Absolutley will be back no doubt. Super professional super affordable would recommend anybody that had a dog go here.
