The best pizza and Italian food you can eat without traveling to Italy.I have eaten here twice and both times the food was great. First time I ordered a pepperoni pizza with peppers and onions. Absolutely delicious. No other pizza is like it in the area.Second time my mother and I had dinner. She ordered eggplant parmesan with a Cesar salad.I ordered a chicken parmesan calzone with Mediterranean salad.This place makes amazing eggplant parmesan according to her. My mother is Italian and can never find a place in Vt that makes good eggplant parmesan from scratch. Mom's Cesar salad came with real fresh anchovies. Not just the anchovi paste most places use. This was the real deal.My calzone was huuuuge and packed with delicious chicken. The Mediterranean salad came with loads of sun dried tomatoes and Olives and feta. This is officially my goto for Italian food.Ran by a sweet little Italian family. Authenticity at its finest.

My wife and I rented an air b and b for the weekend in Island pond and stumbled upon this place after a long drive. We loved it so much we went back the next night. I am incredibly picky when it comes to italian food and everything was great! Also it was the small details that were so important like not prefilling the cannolis till we actually ordered them, or the fact that "gerado" drives to boston at least once a month to get all of his ingredients! Needless to say we will be back!

If you want authentic Italian cuisine, this is the place to go. Gerardo might say something in Italian that you won't understand, but you will know true Italian cuisine by the time you leave. I don't know any other place in Vermont that is better or more true to the culture. Tell him Calvin sent you. You won't get a discount, but you may get a chuckle out of Gerardo.

We stopped by Cucina do Gerardo while staying in Newark VT over the weekend. If your looking for good pizza and north end style Italian food this is a great place to go! The staff was great and the food was delicious! We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area! Loved everything about it!

Arrived at 5 with a reservation as the first dine-in customers. We had to wait for an hour before even our salad was brought out and sometime after that the pizza. All the while, numerous pick up customers were being served and overheard a new order being told it was only a half hour wait so it seemed pretty clear that they were putting new takeout orders in front of us.

We call ahead as we start our trip North. It's 2 hour ride when we visit for the weekend. Food is always hot and fresh! Best thing is I don't have to cook after a long ride and late at night! Thank you Gerado and Staff! Always pleasant!

AWESOME! I personally am not a huge pizza fan normally, but it was for New Years Eve and we had family over so I called to preorder pizzas. They let me know they had sheet pizzas if I order in advance so we ordered 3 sheet pizzas and a regular pizza. OMG this place knows how to make pizza!!! I was actually wonderfully surprised!! I thought middle of no where it would be OK. IT WAS AWESOME!!!! Highly recommend. We ordered a meat pizza- it was LOADED!!!! My teenage boys were thrilled!!! Again, cannot say enough! You will not be disappointed! AWESOME pizza!!! Gerardo KNOWS how to make REALLY good pizza!!!!!!!

If you decide to eat from this "restaurant " it should be takeout only! The eat in area could be nice, but there is no wait staff you have to order from the counter. The temperature in the "dinning room" felt like 60 degrees. We ordered a large garden salad. It had a decent amount of romaine lettuce two peices of tomato a few slices of cucumber green pepper and onion. None were cut or washed with any care.The table spoon of dressing would have been woefully inadequate if it was edible. My wife said it tasted like nail polish remover smells. We also ordered the chicken parmesan dinner. For me the chicken was okay , he sauce and pasta were lacking in flavor in every aspect. This could have been because the sauce was burned to the pan it was served in. No plating, no car just an off the stove frying pan you can't touch.We had high hopes for this place, we have been to his other restaurant in St. Johnsbury. This was very disappointing.

Gerardo may be the finest Italian chef in New England, Boston, New Haven and Providence included. The pizza is supposed to be great, but the opportunity for finer cuisine is not to be missed.

I was very hopeful when I walked in. However, after my time being there and experiencing the food for what it is, it just was not good. The pizzas were extremely soggy even after having me wait over 35 minutes to make them. The lady taking my order was very kind, it's just the food was not good at all in my option... Except for the salad, the salad was nicely made.

What a wonderful find!!!!! Real authentic Italian Food.......the owner/chef is right from Italy and grew up in the North End of Boston. The food was amazing and the presentation was spot on! We will definitely be back!
