I went here today actually. On my way through to a basketball game. We ordered take out and they said it would be 25 to 30 minutes. No problem. Well, we ended up waiting 45 minutes and they literally gave us overfried chicken tenders and the saddest maybe handful of fries with our orders. Supposedly hand cut great fries....literal scraps of fries like the ends of potatoes. They were very sad. Literally you pay $14 for a burger and fries and get that. It's like someone at all my fries and then gave me the order. You should treat take out orders the same as in house as far as quality and they didn't. There was no quality control or they just didn't care that there were no fries. I probably won't eat here again but I hope these restaurants realize that if you are gonna charge that much make sure it's worth it. Thanks.

The skillets were excellent. Do yourself a favor come here, skip regular egg orders that you can get at any diner and get yourself a skillet! Super filling. Blueberrry pancakes were also delicious.

So delicious! They have great options which made it hard to decide. Got pulled pork bbq sandwich with coleslaw directly on sandwich. It came with handcut seasoned fries and was very filling and tasty. Also shared pancake with my cousin. It was served with Vermont maple syrup. I want to go back and try everything else. Service was superb. The server was super friendly and helpful.

Waitress was good. Food was tasty, but it took FOREVER to receive our food, over an hour. Plus the portion sizes were very small. Prices were actually pretty cheap, so I can forgive the small portion sizes, but it was pretty ridiculous the amount of time we waited for our breakfast. We should have listened to the reviews that said this place has gone downhill after new ownership.

Excellent diner, friendly fast service, and generous portions. The view of the river is amazing. Worth seeking out if you're gonna be in the area and want a delicious breakfast. I'm sure dinner and lunch are equally wonderful, but I've only been here for breakfast. Parking is behind the restaurant

Great place to eat and share conversation. Locals hangout, good food, lots of seating, and if you a fortunate enough to be seated in a booth overlooking the Lamoille River, great view! Staff is friendly and service is quick. Best part about the meals is their homemade bread and goodies. Parking can be a bit of a hassle. Hours are 5 to 8.

Had a hankering for some blueberry pancakes and shreds, and my delightful partner brought me here. I almost couldn't decide on what to order-- talk about a gigantic menu where everything looks delicious. I did end up on blueberry pancakes and shreds, and forgot to snap a pic before I started eating. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in the area for a bite to eat. I'll be back for lunch AND breakfast.

Nice, plain, homey, comfort food on the menu, which had many, many choices (almost too many!). Our food took quite a while to arrive, and was satisfactory to eat, though nothing to rave about. The wait staffer was busy and half-running to and from customers throughout our visit. She wasn't very knowledgeable about my soy-allergy options, and seemed too rushed to be able to take the time to help. I opted for a salad to make things easy. Her assistant helper appeared a few times in a very grubby outfit, that looked out of place in the dining area.No real complaints really, just not very high standard. Fine for a simple, straightforward lunch or breakfast meal. The entrance step from the mudroom is NOT handicap accessible, and very difficult to negotiate from inside the restaurant. The restaurant has its own parking lot alongside the river, which is very handy.

I went here because it was rated decently high. Apparently the restaurant is newly owned by a former employee. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. The place was not even full and 2 of us ended up spending almost 2 hours of our time here. The burger I had was definitely substandard (The beef was tasteless, like watered down, and rubbery.) and the Poutine was made with Mozzarella Cheese. There were locals there who didn't have a good experience either. Apparently when the original owners were there everything was way better and that's where they got all the good reviews from. To be fair, my Mom's Fried Chicken was excellent but still even with that my Mom said it wasn't worth the wait or the poor service.

You can't match the view and the customer service. Food is basic but they got me in and out and prioritized me because i told them that I had a meeting in a half hour. Wonderful people from a wonderful town.

The food was good, not a fancy restaurant but it was priced appropriately so they get five stars. The waitresses are on top of keeping your coffee mug ☕ full. I had like four cups without realizing it as they were busy and I was distracted.

Food was always good. Classic diner choices with affordable pricing. Limited space make it difficult for staff to sit singles or more than 4. My biggest complaint is the staff. Not well trained in server etiquette, wait times, checking on patrons, or taking orders correctly. All seam like good people but not well managed or trained. Ownership probably think everything is good because it's always busy. Partially I'd say due to lack of options and food is good.

A very authentic and native restaurant with friendly staff and good food. The eggs were made very well and the vegetarian pizza was delicious but heavy for mornings.Do stop by if you are on your way or coming from Vermont's famous lakeside homes.

We absolutely love this little diner. The service here is excellent and the people here are so friendly. Your food is served quickly and done with a smile! The food is amazing and it is a must try place to go. We make it a point to go here every time we visit Vermont. It is so nice to eat at a place where you hear the cook in the back singing and your food is served with a smile. They make everyone feel welcomed and at home. They sell homemade bread that is to die for. A perfect little diner in a perfect little town.

We were wandering from Stowe towards Owl's Head and stumbled upon this place. The best breakfast I have had in a restaurant in a long time and the waitress was awesome. You guys have a gem in your town!

Great little place to eat, homey and low key. American style meals are not fancy but the food is well prepared, tasty, and comes in generous portions. Excellent pies and deserts. During "on" season a huge menu of breakfast skillets and delicious bennedict-style breakfasts is worth looking at (the house-made corned beef hash is especially nice), but don't forget to ask about the specials either!Parking: The lot closest to the restraunt is a small municipal lot and serves other business in downtown, during peak hours parking may be at premium and the only options may be street parking quite a ways away.

Delightful surprise this morning, enjoying a mid-morning breakfast with a friend. The cheese omelette was perfect, the shredded taters and raisin toast a perfect side.

It’s a beloved local institution, everything on the menu is good, and people in this part of Vermont live in constant fear that one day fire or flood will take it away. But it is ***slow.*** It’s not like an ordinary diner. It’s always packed. They make the food from scratch. Clear a couple of hours to eat here. Bring books and games to pass the time. It’s worth it. It’s pure Vermont! There, you’ve been warned.
