The corner store has a great variety of everyday staples, yummy soups and sandwiches at the deli, good beer selection, and really good fresh local produce and baked goods.The Whammy Bar is a great watering hole with music Thurs, Fri, Sat night!

What a gem- a local community owned grocery and bar with live music (Covid permitting). Tiny and special and welcoming. Many local musicians play there and spirits are high. Plus they have a small bar menu for dinner - super fun and highly recommended.

What a great place! In the sticks out if nowhere you'll find the Genny (Generalstore) the post office AND the Whammy Bar. Yes, all in one place! What's not to love. Very cozy intimate vibe, eclectic music, great drinks. The owner used to or has(?) His own band and it shows in the decor and vibe. Local hangout that was packed. Fresh tasty pizza as well! We will definitely be back more often!

An amazing music venue with tasty food in the small and lovely town of Calais. Great performers and excellent food in an intimate setting. Open mic night is really fun with an eclectic group of performers taking to the stage. Get there early if you want a seat.
