Purchased an IMac a year ago, open box, and was sent a defective computer. Nothing but problems and no offer to help me over the phone, except to purchase another computer and I should cover the cost of sending the old one back. I don't know what happened to this company, but they have a poor attitude and act like you're in the wrong. I used to recommend this company, but no more.

Huge thank you to Gabe who was really helpful on the phone about options to hopefully fix my AirPod Pro case that wasn’t charging on one side. I went into the store in Burlington and he helped me get them fixed in under 10 minutes for $10! Great customer service!

I had a wonderful experience at Small Dog Electronics! My 2020 MacBook Pro screen had been replaced multiple times by another repair shop in the area and continued to malfunction. After speaking with Apple, they directed me to Small Dog Electronics where they were able to fix not only the screen problem they found, but also the battery issue and get my computer back to me within two days! Fantastic service all around, I will definitely be back if I ever need service on my MacBook again!

Great place! I went there to buy a second charger for my ipad and showed them that my apple pencil tip broke off inside the pencil. They fixed the pencil right there for free.

I wish I could give a zero for this review.I bought an out of box computer after speaking with one of the staff at Small Dog. This has been the worst experience with a computer I have ever had. It was not obvious and after asking a plethora of questions, not revealed, that the computer was 3 years old. After less than a year the power failed (it would not turn on). When I finally reached someone at Small Dog they told me it would be over a month before they could even look at it. I called All Systems Repair and they fixed it the next day. A month or so later the sound stopped working (great for Zoom meetings). 6 months later the mouse doesn't work. I will never buy anything there again.No one answers the phone, dishonest about why it was considered out of box, long wait times for repairs, all around disappointing. The only positive thing I can say is great location.

Ordered online, they want me to send my ID and Utility bill before they can ship my order. A very strange request, I never had to do it for any other seller ever.I am not okay sharing my personal information, especially ID and Utility bill, that can be used for identity verification at banks. I am very worried how my personal information will be treated. After 5 days, I had to request order cancellation.

Kind, helpful and FAST!I needed to get my computer screen replaced and it was a totally hassle-free experience. The person working the front desk was a gem and they really made me feel heard and got me my computer back WAY sooner than I expected. 10/10 experience.

I guess no one has computer issues outside of work hours. The hours here are WORSE than banker's hours. 10AM to 6PM Monday through Friday. Not even a few hours on Saturday. You've got to be kidding!! Small Dog was better when it was located on Dorset St, but only marginally.

I love to support local business but unfortunately my experience with Small Dog Electronics was not a good one. I took my laptop in for service and they were unable to resolve my issue, which cost $100. In fairness, the sales person said there was a "70% chance" the technician could fix it so I was aware there was some risk in the proposition. When they called me to pick it up they told me "the tech could recover some files, but he didn't think they were the one's you needed", but then didn't load those files back onto the computer for me to determine that for myself. Finally, when I left my laptop at the shop for service it had a keyboard protector on it and when I went to pick it up it was missing. The staff was not helpful in resolving the issue and seemed to think it was removed prior to dropping it off even though I am 100% sure it was not. Unfortunately, I would recommend avoiding this business if you are able.

Just received amazing service getting my Mac Book Pro serviced which required a new battery and a new hard drive. Extremely reasonable cost and extraordinary help from the staff on Flynn Avenue - who even take the time to explain bonehead questions from someone technically challenged. EVERY TIME I need help from this place it is always a positive experience. Thank You.

30 year Mac veteran here. My software and hardware knowledge dates all the way back to OS 7. Have been aware of Small Dog since they opened in Waitsfield years ago. Initially they were willing to be helpful if you had a small problem or need, but their focus shifted as the company quickly grew. Don't expect much from them now unless you're buying expensive new equipment or dropping a fortune on repairs (Pro tip - get a second estimate). Every 5 years or so I try Small Dog Electronics again, and always walk out shaking my head. The staff at the AT&T store is more helpful and in a genuine manner - like they actually appreciate my business. I understand it's hard to make a profit when there are so many places selling the same thing you are. But service is the new sales commodity, and Small Dog is and has been lacking for a very long time.

Do not "shop local" in this case.Apple will run diagnositics for free.Small Dog sells defective products and then charges to fix them.A truly sad "small business" for Vermont.Unfortunately, you will find a better warranty and refund policy at Best Buy or Apple themselves.

I was directed by Apple tech support to bring my computer to small dog. It had a big "?" on the screen one day. I dropped it off to them and they told me they'd get back to me in 24 hrs. That was on a Thursday. I finally called them Monday and asked about my computer. They said they'd get back to me as they were behind. They got back to me the next day and said the computer was basically junk and that it would require $900 to repair and would need to be sent to Apple. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and went to Computers for Change, downtown. Thankfully the guy there said all it needs is a new hard drive. It cost me $125. I'm back in business. Computer is working great.

I was in Small Dog today around 11:00 and the man who came to ask what I was there for was a bit curt right from the beginning. I explained what I needed help with and he rolled his eye's and said, I've never heard of that before. I started to tell him what had happened and he said, you sound panicky, I said I am panicky, I need help getting this fixed. After he asked me several questions he said why don't you go stand in line and see if someone at the desk can help you. The lady at the desk was very polite and did what she could to help me and gave me some tips to try at home, As I was standing talking to her the man I first talked to threw out the comment, she sure got herself in a big pickle. I was quite shocked by his attitude and rudeness. I found someone else to help me and I won't be visiting that store again.

I turned in my Macbook Pro for a broken screen on a Thursday afternoon and got it back on that Monday. They did an amazing job and I am extremely happy with their speed. It was also covered under limited warranty, so that's a huge plus. The staff was also great and did a good job of explaining the process and what happened.

Please note that you will be asked to make a 20 minute appointment that you may have to schedule 1 week in advance. You will be charged $60 just to drop off your laptop and have it join a subsequent line. I am expecting it will take a week to get my computer back, and they will charge $35 to ship it back if I can't take more time off work to drive back to Burlington. At an Apple store, technicians typically look at the computer during your appointment, and only charge for repairs or parts.As an update, i was later quoted $700 for my repair. Thinking this could not be right, i called apple, and they confirmed that the repair in question should not be more than $500. I sent the laptop directly to Apple, and they completed the repair for no charge. The only $$ i am out is the original $60 for Small Dog to examine the laptop.

I appreciate being left to browse but when specifically seeking advice about what products do and do not do and repeatedly seeking answers to questions or help…unfortunately I went to Best Buy and received the help needed.

If I could give this store negative stars I would. It took four weeks to fix a single key on my keyboard. And I had to call for updates, they never called me when it was finally fixed after a month. AND they totally messed up my track pad in the process, will never go here again.

I came in requesting maintenance on my MacBook Pro, I was having issues with the keys and trackpad. They assured me there was nothing I could do but air gun & try to clean it. Turns out there was a recall on my MacBook for the exact issue I was having.

Just popped in to drop by laptop off to see about some issues. One customer in the store. I had zero timeline for my repair just looking to drop the computer off to have it looked at. Was told I couldn’t give it to them without making an appointment to drop the computer off. Was told I could check the signup tomorrow morning and I could drop it off likely in a week or so. 15 year or so customer, won’t be coming back after having just wasted an hour of my day to drive into Burlington and back home. Shocked with employees standing around not doing anything that I couldn’t just drop off a computer to get looked at with no timeline needed for it back.

So glad to have a local shop for Apple related needs. I’ve ordered from them online but this was my first visit to the store. Clean display room, well stocked, and friendly and efficient service that got me in and out quickly with exactly what I needed. I will definitely be back. Very glad to support a small business over the big box stores!
