My wife and I visit Brio every time we visit Vermont which is as often as possible. This past October we visited before spending a day in Burlington. My wife who is not a big coffee drinker had a Calypso espresso while I a big coffee drinker went with the single origin Ethiopia Shantawene. Fast forward 4 months and I am still dreaming about that single origin espresso. I roast my own coffee at home and drink a ton of espresso and I still have not been able to recreate anything like that experience. Brio is one of the best in the business and I 100% recommend stopping while you are in the Burlington area. I hope some day to be able to pull a shot of my own coffee that can re create that experience over again. Thanks for everything you do!

Spectacular, Phenomenal, Pleasantly Superb are just a few ways to describe Brio Coffeworks.I’ve been in Burlington for two days seeking the best coffee….. FOUND IT!!!!!!Everything about my experience at Brio was above and beyond. From the offerings, to the atmosphere, right down to the excellent conversation with Magda!The recommended offering was the Mexico Chiapas, and it absolutely satisfied the coffee vacancy I longed to fulfill.Magda is one of the owners, and it was pleasant speaking with her about different offerings and processes. She’s quite knowledgeable and very personable!The Ethiopia Ardi was my whole bean offering of choice, and I cannot wait to try it with some of the methods recommended!Magda was also kind enough to recommend other spots to enjoy while in Burlington!Again, I cannot say enough good things about Brio Coffeeworks!!! Go check them out, you will thank yourself!!!! They’re quite possibly the best coffee and roaster in town!!!

Was truly the best espresso I’ve ever had in my life, even when contrasted with months spent in Italy in pursuit of the perfect shot.The owners were extremely friendly, and spent at least a half hour humoring me and my interest in roasting/brewing.The drip coffee was also some of the most aromatic, smoothest tasting I’ve had.Very cool atmosphere as well. Really like what they’ve done with the space.Would consider them masters of their craft.Should mention that they are incredibly generous in their pricing. I would’ve gladly paid twice what they charged me for such a pleasant experience.

This is the best tasting espresso! The baristas all prepare the espresso drinks really well and quickly too. I think I come here almost every day lol. I appreciate the friendly vibes and personality of the space and their staff.

Hands down the best coffee in Burlington and beyond! The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and sincerely passionate about the beans they source and roast without ever making you feel guilty for asking for a little cream and sugar! You can swing in for a latte, to buy a few bags of beans, or lovely java related gifts for the budding baristas in your life. Keep an eye out for fun events in the space like trivia nights and epic latte art throwdowns! And if you see their new canned nitro cold brew around town, definitely give it a try!

At first glance, this can appears appealing. It's colorful and contrasting. It's also not too big. A nice amount of coffee as you pass by whatever cooled receptacle it rests in. At a glance it appears to be cold brew, with the verbiage imprinted upon the can.However, do not be fooled! This is not cold brew. I'm not even sure it's coffee. It's some pretentious tomfoolery someone decided to bottle (can?) up can sell. Upon popping the lid a pleasing "whoosh" will fill your ears. You raise the can to your lips expecting tasty chilled coffee. While it is chilled, tasty it is not! Upon being poured over my taste buds, I immediately conjured up images of old leather shoes that had been sitting in a damp corner too long. I made a face. It was dreadful. As tempted as I was to immediately dispose of this charlatan beverage, I was in need of caffeine so I choked my way through the can, desperate for energy. My suspicious of it not being coffee cannot be verified, however I can state for sure that it is some kind of energy-boosting liquid.The only redeeming aspect of this product is that the barcode is shaped like the state of Vermont. Truly captivating!

Most expensive latte I've ever had, quality does not live up to cost. Great Harvest Bakery latte down the street is much better for smoothness and coffee flavor.

Had a tasty hot latte in the morning, came back in the afternoon for an iced one. Turns out I came in two minutes before closing: the barista went to lock the door in the middle of making my drink. I said “wow, what timing for me”, meaning I’m glad I made it in before they closed. The barista ignored me and set my drink out, clearly not pleased that I came in just before closing. I work in a coffee shop myself and feel it’s 100% just fine to come in shortly before closing - as you’re still open!!So while the coffee was good and the ambiance was mediocre the attitude from the barista is what pulls down my rating to three stars.

I first found this coffee in a Cafe in Vergennes and was blown away. I raved about it, to any one that listened. I made a bumble account just to meet strangers and tell them about this coffee. It stayed in my mind as my long lost coffee love. I would think of it wistfully as I drank my chock full o nuts french pressed coffee, or my Starbucks instant coffee... and then, to my pseudo- coffee- connoisseur DELIGHT !!!! I found some instant Brio coffee at my local market. It is, without a doubt, the best instant coffee that could ever be made. I've only had one of the roasts but I would definitely be willing to try them all. The range of flavors and smells from a single cup of coffee from this company could never be matched at dunks or starbies or toms or jacks or anywhere else. It's smooth, with genuine flavor profiles that come through crisp and clean. It's bright, it's bold, it smells like.. your birthday morning after you sleep in on an all expenses paid tropical vacation that you won for submitting your name in a prize drawing at your local gas station, not expecting them to pull your name but here your are in paradise drinking the smoothest, most flavorful blend that normally only royalty can find. Thanks, Brio, I look forward to trying the other blends. As a mom of 3, with 2 under two, this coffee.... it's the bees 🐝 KNEES. I can't wait to visit the physical location in Burlington!

Every bag of coffee I’ve gotten from here has impressed me. Roasted ~3 days prior, the coffee is amazingly complex and there are so many origins to choose from. Espresso from here was also the best I’ve ever had.

This place knows coffee. I didn’t really get a chance to enjoy the sitting area as there was construction going on but their outdoor seating area was nice. Given that this place is also integrated with the soda plant, which houses some art studios, galleries, and another food shop it has a very unique coffee shop experience for those wanting to explore the surrounding businesses while enjoying a fresh brewed coffee

I was visiting Burlington and stopped into Brio on my way out. Not only is the space beautiful, but the staff were so kind and the coffee was great. I recommend their "instant" coffee packets. They were a life saver for the rest of my trip away!

Brio pulled me the best espresso shot I've ever had.I was visiting Burlington for a weekend and did a light search on where to find a place that made a good espresso. Brio came up, so I decided to give them a try. It was apparent from watching my barista prepare the shot that Brio truly appreciates the art of making a great espresso.Have you ever gone to consume something you knew was going to be really good, yet you still were completely blown away? This was my experience here. I walked out the door with my espresso, drank it, and immediately walked back in to purchase a bag of beans.Needless to say, Brio is a real deal third wave roaster.

Great coffee, great staff, and great values! Learned today that they don’t accept tips because they instead pay a living wage and give all staff benefits. I’d come back just because of that but the coffee really is excellent too.

Brio coffee is the absolute best in Burlington. My fiance and I had a brunch wedding and sampled the many coffee companies in Burlington. Brio stood out as the superior product... So smooth and delicious. Our caterer brewed the Calypso Espresso and Ethiopian Reko for our wedding and guests raved over both. Magda helped us through the whole process. She made sure we got the highest quality product, roasting and grinding at the very last moment before the wedding. She even went above and beyond working with our caterer to find equipment and giving measurements and brewing recommendations. So impressed with Brio's service and product! Thank you for being a part of our wedding!!
