Went here due to it being the only place that serves mimosas and opens early. Wait time was a bit long but understandable as there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. The breakfast sandwiches were very good and hot! The mimosas tasted excellent but we didn’t get a chance to order another one before we got our bill so we kinda got the point that we needed to leave. The house potatoes were not very good or had much seasoning, maybe try pairing with some roasted potatoes or hash browns instead. The waitress was nice and was trying the best she could but it was obvious she was overwhelmed. Place was very clean. We will definitely be back for lunch when visiting this town again!

Great little restaurant! Plenty of options for anyone. They have a daily specials board as well. I ordered the chicken club with waffle fries and it hit the spot! Really appreciate the waitress here too! She was running around taking care of a full place and kept checking back on food status and how I was on my drink

Very slow, long wait with not too many patrons. Hash browns had no seasoning and were burnt. My open beef sandwich was supposed to be served with gravy but had instead a supposed bechamelle where small bits of unknown meat were hiding. The eggs were eggs. The toast was over toasted and hard and everything was cold.My son south west wrap was « sad ».No apologies for the service nor the cooking.. 44$ is way over charging for this poor quality of food and service. Run!!

Great food and friendly service. My favorite breakfast is their homemade hash. It's especially good in the Irish Eggs Benedict. We also really love the hamburgers. But then, I don't think I've ever had anything at Mae's Place that wasn't excellent.

My wife and I stayed in Brandon for a night in early Feb. and found this great place to have breakfast before we left town. Great options for breakfast , we have had alot of cornbeef hash from different places but this place is hands down the best, chunks of potatoes and good size pieces of meat and you get plenty to eat. The wait staff was also great always coming around and filling your cup with the delicious coffee they have. Inside seating was spacious and it looks brand new. We walked in at 1 PM on a Tuesday and it was packed! Only one woman was serving the 10+ tables and she was on TOP of it! We didn’t wait for drinks or to order. She was efficient! Have to love the wonderful service. plus the food was superb. We ordered the Irish Benedict and the Florentine Benedict. They were out of English Muffins but they replaced with delicious, fresh bread and we were beyond pleased with our orders. Unfortunately we were too hungry to get good pictures the delicious food. 100% would return for the home fries/breakfast potatoes alone! Thank you, Mae’s! I hope Tanya came to get her sister’s order…. If not, they both missed out!

The food was run-of-the-mill. They must be desperate for money because they added a $2 surcharge onto our bill for splitting a sandwich. Nothing beats screwing elderly people who have small appetites! Will not return.

FOODthe food was good, i had a breakfast sandwich that was delicious, but the wait was extreme. like, 2 hours extreme.the coffee was great and my cup was kept full. not sure if the juices were from concentrate or store bought but the pineapple and orange juice was also delicious.-good food and drinks, i had an absurdly long waitSTAFFthe waitress that served me was very nice and apologetic about the absurd wait time. the people at the front desk were equally as friendly.-friendly staffBATHROOMSthere is a single one person bathroom but it is kept very clean and well stocked.-good one person bathroom*if it weren’t for the extremely long wait, this would be a 5 star review. i came on my birthday so i was in a good mood regardless.

I got a burger and fries. I was expecting in-house made fries by the verbiage on the menu, but they weren't, yet they tasted ok. The burger had good flavor, but it was cooked very unevenly (I ordered med well and some spots were rare, some spots well done). Nice bun. It was standard diner food. We planned to sit outside and did, but inside definitely had a cold vibe to it - something about the lighting, the spacing, and the decor are off... with some updates to the ingredients and the ambiance, better attention to detail - this place could be a lot better.

This place had good coffee and good food for a price that can't be beat. My only complaint is one that can't be helped. We have a grossly lazy generation that doesn't want to do anything but be "content creators". Therefore Mae's diner found itself shorthanded and some of the staff they had wasn't carrying their weight. The managers/owners has carried this busissness themselves. I only hope they are able to find the help they need

We stopped in for breakfast, two adults, a 3 year old and an infant. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing! I honestly think it was the best pancake and eggs Florentine I’ve ever had! The facility was clean and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back!

Service, food and atmosphere all lacked. The waitress was rushed and came off as rude. The food was bland and make with cheap ingredients (pre frozen, ranch made out of oil instead of buttermilk, food extremely salty for example) The restaurant had no clear theme other than trying to come off as a modern diner but not really achieving that. We also felt unwelcomed as they were closing the restaurant before closing time...Disappointing overall.

Mediocre at best. I ordered a pancake, a piece of french toast, bacon and home fries. My partner got an omelette.Our coffee was not good. The french toast was not soaked through all the way through, resulting in dry spots in the toast. The home fries were over seasoned and soggy. The bacon was lukewarm and had the texture of jerky.The worst part was that the menu said the french toast and pancake were topped with butter, but it was actually margarine. By the time I spread it all over, my food was drowning in artificial butter flavor. If it said margarine, I would have asked for butter. But instead, I got something that wasn't advertised. It seems small but it honestly ruined my food.I would have given it two stars, but my partner liked their omelette, even though I thought it was small.

This is a great find in the middle of downtown Brandon. It's good food prepared well and reasonably priced. The menu items are fairly predictable american fare but they do add a little flair, prepare with care, provide service with a smile (Jessica) and the food comes out fast and accurate. This community is still in rebuild from the previous hurricane caused flooding and now the installation of a drainage system. But don't let that stop you or make you think twice. If you want a good tasting meal in a nice comfortable home town atmosphere, this is a good choice.
