My first time playing at Alburg Golf Links and it was phenomenal. Checked-in at the Pro Shop where I was introduced to Doug (leading the shop) for my tee-time (mid-morning). They were busy as I overheard Doug saying they were booked from 7AM-12:30pm. Came in as a single, joined a group of 3, and played the full 18. The course layout was great, mostly open course with a few dog-legs, rolling hills, and Par 3s. It had just rained very hard the days before so the conditions weren’t great but I can’t judge on that. Given it had been a warm, dry, day, it may have been better. Nonetheless, I started heating up in the back 9 and overall played great throughout. The ninth hole ends at the clubhouse along with 18th, great design. Lastly, there are some paved paths for carts but mostly grass. I try to avoid the fairway as courtesy but sometimes it’s not possible. Anyway, Doug, thanks for the professionalism and respect, I’ll be coming back with some family. Its a nice course for the area of upstate VT/NY and I encourage you to check it out if you’re around.Other things: they have a nice practice putting green down toward the 18th/1st hole. A driving range with mats/no mats to practice and you’ll need a token from the pro-shop to get balls from the machine. Sometimes there are balls in the road entering/exiting the driveway so watch out for wayward range balls. A nice canopy of trees entering/exiting as well. Thank you.

Alburgh golf links is a special place. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area. The course, clubhouse and especially all the staff are very nice. I will definitely return.

The course was in great condition given all of the rain they have gotten lately. Doug in the proshop was fantastic. There were a few too many blind tee shots for my taste, and the greens are very small. Despite those the course is definitely worth trying.

Always a friendly greeting on the phone and in the pro shop. Very nice restaurant staff and excellent clubhouse. Course was in good shape in spite of the extremely wet summer we had in Vermont.

It's an easy course to play and relatively flat so walkable also. I did a 9 hole (alone with cart) in less than 90 minutes and got backed up on 8 and 9.The food menu is a little sparse but the quality is good. The beer selections are good but I think only the Kramer and Kin brewery options are available now due to them appearing to run it now. Other cocktails are available I assume. The wait staff are very attentive and in good spirits.A great place for not a lot of money for part time golfers like me.

This course is a goldmine. Doug is extremely courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Maintenance of the grounds is excellent with the exception of the Tee Box at 7. Other than that, everything is more than perfect. It's a challenging course with great views, great greens and great support. Krammer and Kin have added a little extra incentive for playing the course with their delicious variety of great beers. It's a "ready-golf" course that I enjoy every time out.

I've played this course about a dozen times, and it's always delightful! Doug in the pro shop is friendly and helpful, the course is challenging but beautiful and well maintained. The bar and dining area is brand new and absolutely gorgeous and the beer and food are both top notch!

Great little "links" style golf course. Not the longest around, but that's a good thing for most of us amateurs. Entertaining layout and the conditions were mostly good to very good. A couple of the greens had some damage that was growing back and the fairways do have some green that isn't always grass, but for me that was fine. Didn't expect country club conditions. Staff was friendly and the pace was perfect. Day I played there were only about 6 cars in the lot when I arrived mid-morning. Nobody holding up play and nobody pushing from behind. All in all a fun, relaxing day.

This is a wonderful little gem of a golf course that unlike a lot of places, is EXACTLY what the website says it is......a course that's true to it's heritage, follows the lay of the land, and has wonderful views. The friendliness of having very few bunkers is offset by the parsimonious green size, and the rough, should you find it, was short enough that you didn't spend 20 minutes looking for your your ball. The greens were in excellent shape, receptive, moderate speed and rolling true. In short, this is a real shot makers course.I only recall one blind tee shot (#9), no true dog-legs, and although there are a few holes where being able to shape your tee-shot either right or left will help you get into a more advantageous position for your approach shot, it's really not required. For those lucky enough to have a wife who plays, the front tees are unusually well positioned. I played from the back tees, my wife played from the front tees, and in most cases we ended up within a few yards of each other for our approach shots. In short, a real pleasure. My Wife and I enjoyed our afternoon !!!

I live on Isle La Motte so we play this course quite a bit. It is what it claims to be; a great links course that follows the natural terrain and provides spectacular views of Lake Champlain. Course conditions have improved tremendously over the last 2-3 years and Doug is an extremely helpful pro (and great storyteller!). They completely remodeled the clubhouse interior this year and the new menu features locally-sourced produce and meats. It is also now the brew pub for Kraemer & Kin, some of the best microbrew in a state famous for its microbreweries!

Quiet links golf with one hole overlooking the lake. Course has good changes in elevation and is relatively wide open. The greens are well kept. The restaurant is also quite nice with a great view.

My favorite brewer Kraemer & Kin has moved their nano-brewery to the basement of the clubhouse and taken over the food and beverage operation. I don't golf but drive for an hour and a half to have a great lunch overlooking Lake Champlain.

Fun links style course with a great brewery/restaurant partnership with Kraemer and Kin. We will be back!

Course is nice this year (2019) , however I’d highly recommend paying for the full 18 up front if your debating between 9/18. We were lead to believe we could pay the difference if we elected to play full course vs 9 and we ended up paying 9 hole with cart each time. Two people 18 holes and cart spent $135. That’s a lot in my opinion.

Greeted by friendly staff, the course layout is interesting, the greens were in great shape the fairways were also in good shape. Keep it in the short grass as the first cut of rough is heavy and plays true. Leave it in the tall fescue and you will be in trouble. A fun Links style course, afterwards stop in the restaurant and grab a cold drink, enjoy lunch and look out over the lake. A great way to end a good round of golf with the wife and friend.

I bought the golf buddy coupon this year, with Albug Golf Links on it. I showed up with a tee time and was told I couldnt go out because "the members" might get mad if I (and one other) hold them up. We play fast, there was no risk of that. Additionally, the staff at the desk told me they never agreed to put their course on the golf buddy card. He honored the coupon but huffed and puffed about having to give us a free greens fee for the coupon. For the condition of the course, the staff should be a little nicer. This is not a premier course. The course is very fun though, and has a few great views of the lake. Very expensive for what the course is and the condition of it.

This was the absolutely worst maintained golf course I have played in 25+ years of golfing. The majority of the fairways (I use that term loosely) had more dirt and weeds than grass. The course superintendent and management should be absolutely embarrassed at the condition of this course, especially when charging $60 for greens fees. The greens were in decent condition but they are beyond slow. I would guess maybe a 4 or 5 on stemp meter.I wouldn’t have paid $20 to play this course had I known the conditions. The back 9 was in better condition than the front but still needs a great deal of attention to weeds and lack of grass in the fairways. On a positive note, having food and drinks on the deck overlooking the course and the lake is an enjoyable experience.

This was my first time golfing on a course and I felt that it was a really good course for beginners. The club house bar was a nice treat afterwards, and you can’t beat the views of the drive up to Alburg.

Friendly staff. But way over priced for the condition of the coarse. I’ve played almost every coarse in VT and these fairways were some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Sandy, crab grass, rock hard, burnt grass. Won’t waste my money there again. Take care of the coarse if your going to charge 60$.

Since Kraemer & Kin took over the kitchen, the food and beer are worth the trip just for a lounge on the porch, the views from the course and clubhouse and pretty excellent as well .

Golf course is in beautiful condition but balance of scramble got rained out. I felt the golf pro was a little out of line. He came to my team and said we needed to pick up the pace because we way behind other teams. When we had to stop due to the rain we were 2 tee's ahead of other teams. I asked other teams and they said he said nothing to them. When you play a scramble most are not pros and should not be expected to keep that kind of pace. He had already suggested to all of us what time we need to be done by before we even started. Kind of takes some of the fun out of it. The course was great and the food was also good.

Nice place to spend a a few hours while enjoying all that Lake Champlain has to offer. Not a pristine course but it's more about the location. Fish in the morning, play golf in the afternoon or vice versa.
