It's absolutely ridiculous they force you to buy 2 chickens. I understand they get lonely. But we have 11 chicks already at home. We had 1 pass, we only needed 1.How about you ask if you have more at home?? This place just assumed we didn't know what we are doing, and it not the first time employees have done this here.I know how to raise chickens, I've been doing it for years.I'll buy my livestock feed and other farm necessities some place else.

Have you been in Cal Ranch lately? Did you see the size and selection of their clothing department? I had no idea.A bit more expensive but quality products and helpful associates make it worth every penny Great firearm and tool selection too. Ohh and try their Gummy bears they're fantastic.

Welcome to dog owners, NOT welcome or safe for small kids. We were trying to shop and there was a man with a Rottweiler nearby. The dog was jumping and excitable at the sight of my two small children. We stepped away, but a few minutes later my one year old tried to run past the dog in the aisle and the dog lunged at him scratching his face and making him bleed. I talked with the manager, and all that was said was that dogs are allowed in the store and there is nothing they can do. I have the choice to call an outside party, but the employees cannot assist me. They said they will go talk to him, but it seemed nonchalant and dismissive. I tried to warn them that there was a dog that was out of control in their store, they just walked away. We quickly left. Don’t take your kids shopping there, and if so stay far away from everyone else. No one is going to help you if something happens

They sold me and my friend a tactical Roger 10-22 with the wrong scope it was supposed to come with a veridian when called to correct it the manager acted like I was a total jerk for wanting the right one and when I called the main marketing office they told me the stores manager would call me back and nothing. Until they call me or mark h. back this 1 Star stays.

Kimber loves all the toys, treats, and collars they have to offer. They're one of the only stores in the area that sell her favorite food(Science Diet). She mainly loves CAL Ranch because she gets a treat at check out, and they know her by name.

Normally I like CAL ranch but I came in to buy a cowboy hat. The whole section is a mess. Mixed matched. If you want to find a certain size you have to pull off every hat off the shelf to find the right size. The brands are all mixed, the sizes, and then they are stuck into each other. Also helpful is to have a mirror close by so you don't have to walk around the store to find a mirror big enough to see yourself.

I've always had awesome experience at this store until I tried to run in right before they was closed and the old guy with the hat stopped me saying they are closed.. there's no way I can run in and grab what I need because it will literally take 2min... And he said no because everything is shut down.. so then I say I see people checking out right now and I can get what I need and leave with then .. he said no and Locked the door.. I find this funny because I sat there for 5min watching people checking out and leaving

Stayed up late doing a sketch of a vynil fence I had to go fix that this so called handy man walked off his job .... So they Called Me.. A Professional. Can't go Wrong there. And so far I give it A 9.97! Out of 10. Had people drive by and compliment the fence.. I sure do appreciate that.. thank you...

One of the employees decided to teach my 6 year old some new words at the gun counter even after I reminded him that there is a child yet that didn't stop him. Also bought a lower and charged $30 per gun transfer. I sent guns here by accident. I ended up spending more for tranfer than I did on the lowers themselves. Never going here is too soon.

I went into the cal ranch store today and I bought a 5 dollar kazoo, sounds like a great time and great investment, right? I left the store and come to find out THE FIVE DOLLAR KAZOO DIDN’T WORK. Now if you know me you know I was not about to let that slide. I was shaking in my little boy boots as I approached the register whereI had bought the defective kazoo. There at the register was a Very helpful worker who I appreciated dearly. The other worker on the other hand, gave me attitude, I told her that my kazoo was not effective. She responded with ”okay” but with ATTITUDE. Rachel(the rude worker), made no effort to help until the coworker said something. As I went to exchange the item Rachel made the mistake of rolling her eyes at me. Rachel do better.

We rang the bell 3 times for a fitting room. Nobody came. We went to the cash registers and let 2 girls know that we were waiting. They said ok we will send someone. I waited another 10 mins and no one came. There was no line at the registers . Why couldn’t one of them help? My son had to try on his clothes in the bathroom. Workers were walking around and talking to each other. I was soooo annoyed !

Great place, buy dog and cat food here, my ammo, my guns, and my chickens. I think they carry almost everything for farm animals. Horse stuff, lawn mowers, you get the point it is a great place with wonderful service.

my friend went in to exchange a $5 kazoo that didn't work and one of the ladies that "helped", her name was rachel, was very rude and made faces at another coworker who was processing the exchange when my friend went to grab another kazoo. the other coworker was great, she was super nice and helpful. rachel, do better 🙄

Fair selection of stuff, but it's the atmosphere that gets me every time I come to this store. It's like the employees are too busy doing something else to realize that maybe a customer would want to spend some money. They will walk by you like you're invisible, without a hello or any kind of acknowledgement. Oh well, Tractor Supply is right up the street and I have spent thousands more there and gotten human acknowledgement and a good bit better help.

I just needed some camp stove fuel. Walked around and it's a good store. Employees are helpful. Def recommend for your random camp needs. I don't own a ranch so, yeah, ask an employee about that stuff. I speak for the camping stuff.

Cal Ranch being somewhat of a "old timer" when it comes to business's in Tooele, It is a fine establishment that one should be quite fond of.. Their prices on basically everything used to be outrageously gross, but now seem very reasonable throughout the store. Even having a large inventory of products that are cheaper than Walmart, and far better quality.. they do have a frequent buyer membership that has saved me quite a bit of money at times, usually is well over 6% savings or more. I would definitely recommend checking the store out when shopping for basically anything before going anywhere else, as you will be surprised with what you can find for a lot less money, while being treated like part of the family..

This is my go to store for virtually all my needs, clothing too. I recommend that you give C-A-L Ranch your business. Quality counts. You will not be disappointed.

I must say that the folks at the gun counter do a great job. I spoke with Alex two weeks prior to my purchase and he provided a great recommendation on a scope and type of mount. I purchased the hard to find mount from another supplier and went back to purchase the scope, rings and had Alex install the scope complete with a bore sight. While the store was extremely busy at this time he completed the install and treated me as if I was the only customer needing assistance. Always been extremely pleased with the employees at Cal Ranch in Tooele. Great job!!!

Always friendly. Prices are fair. Staff not always knowledgeable. Whenever I've been there and asked about specific items they don't seem to know a lot and we've up reading packaging. I could have done that, and usually already did. However, they are trying to be helpful. They just need more training or hire specialists.

Cal Ranch has a great selection of all animal food, chicken coops, and even clothing. Really polite and friendly staff. Unfortunately, they didn't carry the Authority Soft Dog Food that we were looking for, so we had to go back to PetSmart instead.

CAL Ranch is a fun place to go for everything from horse tac to country home decor. There are toy trucks with trailers and toy horses to toy tractors. Need a rope to lasso a steer or feed supplements to care for them or your dog. You'll find it at C-A-L Ranch. The staff is friendly and helpful. Just remember we are all in this together. Great store. Great people.

I love Cal-Ranch buy I hate it. So many things I'd like to get but I hate playing the Price Is Right and having to guess the cost of everthing. I Hate that 95%in the items don't show a price or the price tags don't match the item.Would probably buy more if only I knew how much things cost. Frustrating!

Maybe if I worked on a ranch or in agriculture or owned horses or livestock I'd have more reason to shop here. I like the store, but because I don't do that stuff I listed the store is mostly just a novelty. We did buy chicks here a few years ago. We loved them, but when they were big enough to go outside to the coop I built the dogs ate them. I'm a big and tall man. The clothing section sells clothes i like, but I've never found anything in my size so I stopped shopping there for clothes. We usually stop in once a year or so when they are selling chicks to look at them and end up buying something, but we don't go in regularly.

I usually have a good experience and find what I need when shopping here. The employees are very pleasant and helpful. When shopping today, I was frusterated by a couple of things. One was the lack of price tags on many items or missing shelf tags. The other issue was that I found a really great stackable, rolling storage bin with a pull out handle. The picture showed one case stacked on the other and the description said the set came with both and gave both dimensions. Unfortunately, there was not a single top case to be found. I ask for help and the young man was polite, but after looking in the back, had no answers, nor seemed to think anyone else would have any either. So they have these cases for $60 on the shelves that are only half of the set. That doesn't seem right.

Probably the best selection of root beer and other old timey sodas in town. Good place for animal feed. The kids love to come and see the baby chicks when they're in season. Sometimes a bit unorganized and a lot of products are not marked with prices, but the employees all have radios and can look up prices for you if you ask. Great selection of individual hardware, nuts, bolts, etc.
