I used to go to another bike shop in the valley and I loved that bike shop. I was referred to this shop after I had a bike stolen and was in the market for a new bike. As soon as I visited Salt Cycles, I knew I was never going to go anywhere else! Chris, Jason and Piper made the whole experience incredible. I am what most would expect a typical chick to be, in that I don't know much about the ins and outs of bikes other than I love to ride.They also offer a women's only class once a month that gives me an opportunity to learn how to take care of my bike as well as clinics that teach me how to be a better rider. I love LOVE this shop! You will not be disappointed with the bike you get and definitely the service you receive!

Awesome bike shop. I shot out an email to them in search of a very specific bike/build spec and they got back to me almost immediately. Piper was super friendly. She helped me get my order started and had my bike built before I even showed up. She also helped me with some needed accessories, etc and bottom line they earned a repeat customer.

Nice staff. They fixed my flat tire pretty quickly. It seemed like the staff had good relationships with each other, which is why the atmosphere felt welcoming.

This is one of the best shops in Utah - the 'go-to' shop for Salt Lake County, especially if you have/need a Pivot, Ibis, Yeti, Cannondale, GT, Transition, Fit or Revel. Chris, Amy, and Jason are the nicest most down-to-earth owners you will ever meet. Zero bad attitude, super knowledgeable, great service, and selection of parts and supplies in stock. If they don't have it they can get it. You go in for a service or a bike and leave as a friend.

I drive from Saratoga Springs to shop here because they always treat me so well. Such a great group of owners and employees... Everyone is top shelf in this place!

The team that works here is very knowledgeable and very helpful. They always take care of me and they recommend great products. If a product they sold me happens to have issues they always take care of it. I wish more bike shops were like Salt Cycles.

Salt Cycles Bike is a great local bike shop, providing excellent services, maintenance, rentals, and sales. My friend Shawn took me there after I talked about renting., which I did for a year and a half. I bought a bike from them recently and will continue going here for service and would recommend it to my friends for any mountain biking needs.

Chris and Amy at Salt Cycles are THE BEST!I've known them for the better part of 15+ years, bought a handful of bikes (low end stuff, because I'm not a serious biker), but they have bikes for every kind of rider. I always go to them for tune-ups and service - everyone on their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful!So last Fall, when I decided to take mountain biking more seriously, it was a no-brainer to go to Salt Cycles. I know next to nothing about what would work best for me, so I went in and talked to Chris.He asked a few questions, and we talked about what's important to me and what kind of riding I'd be doing. He then built me a very cool and amazing bike!We had an epic winter here in SLC, and the bike sat in a spare bedroom through the holidays, and I never even rode it.In March, I lost my job and needed to sell the bike. I went back to Chris and explained my situation. He was so gracious and understanding and said he would help me sell it.I was so embarrassed about doing this, but if I had tried selling it myself, I wouldn't have been able to even write a description!His only concern was to help me. What an incredible human.In a few weeks, he sold the bike and gave me a check.Look - you can buy a bicycle anywhere. But if you don't want someone to just SELL you a bike, then go meet some of the best people in the world, who will stand by you and look out for your best interests.Salt Cycles Bike Shop is THE RIGHT PLACE, to go!

Getting back into bikes after 15+ years. These guys were genuinely pumped to help sort out a used bike I had purchased, and excited to see me get back on two wheels. Walked in a little unsure of what I was after but knew I was ready for an upgrade. The staff helped me find the perfect fit for me and landed me in a new Pivot Firebird 29. They didn't try to push me to buy anything more than i needed/wanted and made sure I was going to be happy with my decision. I also got a killer deal! They are some of the friendliest people ive met in the bike community. They are way out of my way from me but so worth the travel time and have a customer for life. Thanks Salt Cycles!

Best bike shop in Utah for premium bikes in my opinion. Staff are both very knowledgeable and friendly. They take time to be sure you get the best bike or accessory. I've bought 3 bikes from Salt Cycles as well as a ton of random gear. I've always been happy with the service, price and product. They've also been great at servicing my bike. Highly recommend.

Salt cycles is hands down, best bike shop out there! They are super helpful anytime I need anything and they never overcharge. Their prices are competitive with online vendors, and they stock a whole lot of the good stuff you want on your bike. All the people there are super awesome, personable people, who take their time making sure you get what you need, even when they are super busy. These guys have an awesome reputation, and they totally deserve it.

Best bike shop I've ever been to for repairs.I've rarely ever had to wait very long even when they seem busy or are about to close.Except for major issues, most repairs they do immediately if they can. I think a lot of the work they do is for higher end mt. bikes but they've never hesitated to help us with our old beaters and my kids' bikes.The prices are reasonable or low for common repairs and parts.And they know the top brands really well, so I will definitely go there when I'm ready for a nicer mountain or electric bike.

Courtnie has been AMAZING to work with. She helped me get a demo set up, so I could get the exact right bike for me. Then the owners helped out with the demo return on their day off like absolute angels. When I ordered my new bike, Courtnie helped me customize the bike specs, so I got exactly what I needed. And she’s even checked in to make sure everything is still perfect. I decided I needed some minor tuning after I bought my bike (to better fit my riding), and they took care of it right away and for free. This place has some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Highly recommend :-)

Top shelf, customer experience! This is the 5th bike I’ve purchased in the last two years and my first purchase from Salt Cycles. Once I knew which bike I wanted, I “interviewed” four different bike shops. I am beyond pleased that I went with Salt Cycles for the purchase. Helpful is an understatement with patience as their virtue while I worked through the build spec that I wanted over a couple of months. Very accommodating as they guided me while dealing with my pickiness. It is two hours round trip from my house to this shop and there are three other Pivot dealers that I drive past or are closer to me on my way to Salt Cycles. The culture in this shop is awesome to do business with!!

Picked up a Pivot Trail 429 Enduro from Chris at Salt Cycles about a week ago. They had the build in stock I was looking for and Jason was able to have the bike ready for me later that afternoon. Great buying experience!

I have purchased a couple of bikes from Salt Cycles over the years, while they aren’t local to me they are fantastic to deal with. They make the customization process a breeze and not only are they receptive to making substitutions, they are great at recommending configurations. Recently I damaged a chainring from one of the bikes I purchased from them, within 2 hours they had a replacement in the mail for me and were there for technical support. Their customer service counties port purchase regardless of your location. Courtnie is who mainly work with and while knowledgeable, if she doesn’t have the answer she has a great support cast behind her and is willing and eager to track down the answer to include reaching out to manufacturers/distrubuters.

If you are looking for great customer service and knowledgeable staff then this bike shop is for you! I was passing through Salt Lake City on my southern Utah biking trip and reached out to Salt Cycles on bike availability. Chris responded immediately and answered all my questions. The response time was remarkable and the service was exceptional… so needless to say I left Salt Lake City with my dream bike!! This is by far the best bike shop I have ever dealt with and I highly recommend it to any bike enthusiast!! Thank you Salt Cycles… I will be back next time I am in town!

Top tier, no nonsense sales. Salt will custom build your bike with ANY component swap out you want with NO double charging.and NO up charge for any same level product. Who else does that - no shop I’ve ever seen. Responsive, great bike set up, great mech team. And they carry the holy trinity of mountain bikes - Pivot, Ibis, Yeti (really, what else is there!! Oh, Transition and Revel and they have them too).

I live on the east coast with plenty of LBS in proximity. However, I struggled to find one that offered the same ease of building a custom bike.Amy and Courtnie were an absolute pleasure to work with. I had a unusual component failure on the bikes first ride and they jumped in and helped with the warranty process. Good people here!

Hands down the best bike shop in the Salt Lake valley and probably the world!!! Great vibe, extremely friendly people, best mechanics, best prices. My only complaint is that they eventually have to close in the evening and I have to leave...Their shop night rides are legendary and they are eager to welcome everyone! My husband bought a bike there this week. Chris was amazing. So positive and helpful. My husband was going to have to wait until Sept to get the bike he wanted, but Chris did some magic, and one week later he is riding his Ripmo!!!! Great deal and superb service. This bike shop is a gem. They are servicing mine to add on a few extra things (tubeless tires, carbon bar...) and I’m looking forward to another great experience. I don't ever stop to take time to write reviews, but this place deserves one. I've bought a LOT of bikes over the years, and Salt Cycles delivered to me one of my single best consumer experiences ever, not just for bikes. The communication, the service, the level of detail, and the awesome attitudes of everyone there made it an absolute pleasure. They went above and beyond any reasonable expectation of service. I don't live in Utah, but whenever I go there, this is my go to spot. I cannot recommend them enough.
