I used to work here, but unfortunately had to leave do to personal reasons. But everyone here LOVES dogs, it was such an awesome job!! I'm for sure going to miss it. I loved seeing all the pups every day. We have a lot of them that come almost every day, but it was still exciting to see them again the next day. And they were in kennel cough protocol a lot but it made it so the pups didn't get so sick, or spread it around. We had such few cases, less than you'd think with how big their establishment is. It was such a fun place to work and all the pet parents and dogs are wonderful!! If I ever need to board my dogs in the future or want to just let them have some socialization then I'm FOR SURE gonna be using them!!!

I have been taking my dog Buddy, (a King Charles Cavalier) to Dogtopia for a few years now and I can’t think of a more wonderful, safe, and friendly place to take him. Whenever Buddy and I get within a mile of Dogtopia, he squeals with excitement of going there, it’s so cute to watch. To begin with, the staff is always friendly and loving when we arrive, that Buddy can’t stop wagging his tail with excitement.I always know that when I leave Buddy at Dogtopia that he is in safe hands and the staff genuinely loves him. Dogtopia is always clean and smells fresh and the staff really cares about that.I can always know that Buddy will be safe and have fun with his friends at Dogtopia.Take you dog there to play with Buddy.

Dogtopia of Holladay is not a safe place to bring your dog. Management makes the choice to combine the big dog rooms due to short staffing, leaving the play area overcrowded with dogs of different sizes and temperaments.Cleaning is done poorly and isn’t thorough. The supplies provided were old, incredibly dirty and sometimes didn’t work. Staff was never supplied fully with other cleaning essentials such as paper towels, detergent, or spray bottles.New hires were rarely ever trained fully, most times just having 1 or 2 shifts with another employee before being thrown into a playroom by themselves. Basic dog management information was not consistently given out to new hires, then management would come down on the staff as a whole even though the mistakes were made from people who were not made fully prepared.Dogtopia claims they pride themselves on a specialized heating and cooling system so that dogs would never run too hot or too cold, however the rooms were never consistently the same temperature. This caused dogs to be stuck in freezing temperatures throughout the day and overnight.Management is now trying to combat their influx of poor reviews by writing fake ones pretending to be customers. I know myself and several other employees were promised raises after a certain amount of hours worked, and we were never given them. Upon our employment at Dogtopia ending, we never received backpay. Don’t bring your dog to Dogtopia, they will not be properly looked after.

The staff here have been so great. Our family has been having what feels like crisis after crisis and they have been so supportive and understanding. They’ve offered little things to help us and they are so good with our dogs. One of our dogs is a shelter dog who is fearful of people and they are so patient with him. They always tell us how much they love our dogs and always seem excited when we bring them in. Our dogs seem to love daycare and we have seen a lot of progress in our one dog becoming more comfortable with new situations faster. All daycares seem to be kind of expensive but for us this has been worth the expense.

So this is definitely for the so called involved owner Kyle. I have called and texted you numerous times in regards to my dogs care at your facility that you claim is amazing. However, I have yet to receive a response back, therefor leaving a review of how my dog gets to the daycare and within minutes is put in the cage for 2 hrs by then is down time for 2 hrs so my dog has then sat in a cage for a total of 4 hours. When she can just do that at home. You’re taking people’s money. The next step is to contact BBB. Try to be a little more involved and if you’re gonna leave your number on reviews answer it. I’d definitely like to help you run your business with less turnover and tons of care for the dogs who don’t have a voice themselves.

Upon walking into the building, you are greeted with the overwhelming stench of feces and urine. The staff is made up of literal children, and when the "managers" are on sight, they are unprofessional and unhelpful. The managers will lurk at the front desk and be engaged in non-work appropriate conversations with employees during business hours, then hide when customers come in. When you watch the room cameras, there are upwards of 35 dogs per 1 canine coach. Management claims this to be safe though if you express concern. The Meet & Greet process is a joke; the children conducting the examination put very little care and effort into it. They essentially "hope for the best" and do not try to get to know your dog and their personality at all. I would NEVER board or send my dog to daycare at Dogtopia.

- Almost every crate in the playrooms are rusted and broken. Some had sharp metal pieces sticking out. Most of the crate trays were damaged, and sharp plastic edges were a hazard. No one wants their dog sleeping in a crate like that.- Understaffed and underpaid employees. Coaches make 11 dollars an hour. Good luck getting the $1 raise they owe you after you work there for some time. The most I saw someone making was 13 after being there for over a year.- On most shifts, one person is in charge of 30 or more dogs. They put dogs in rooms together that should never be in open play together. Ex: A German Shepard tried to bite a five-pound dog when they were put in the same room.- I had to ask multiple times for basic cleaning supplies in order to do my job. This was especially important since most of it involves cleaning up large amounts of vomit, poop, and pee daily. We rarely had paper towels or working spray bottles to clean the playroom floors.- It was hot every day in every playroom. Employees are sweaty and stuck in hot rooms with no air flow that reek of foul smells.- Liz Beach had me close a room 15 minutes after nap time (12:00 to 2:00 pm), because a dog had pooped in the suite which is the small box outside of the playroom doors. She told the front desk person to turn off the pet parent cameras so they would not see that dogs were being crated once again. Would have made a lot more since for her to clean it up. However, management does not clean anything in the building. That is for the underpaid teenagers who run Dogtopia.- Kyle Hill resealed the floor, which must be done once a year. This was several months overdue. Because of this, they were cracking and poop would stick to the floor and not fully come off. The instructions say to wait one week before letting people walk on the floor again after sealing. Rooms were opened after 1-2 days.- The door handle to the Gym was broken for 2 weeks. There was a scuffle, and I ran to help the coach, and could not enter the room for 20 seconds until I managed to open the door.- Coaches are sometimes trained as Rovers. This position consists of bathing dogs and trimming their nails. Cutting nails is a delicate process that requires formal training, which no employee received. Expired shampoo and conditioner products were used as well, causing some dogs to get rashes.

Super awful place to work. They only hire teenagers so they can get away with paying them $11 an hour with no benefits or raises. Canine coaches are stuck in a room with 20+ dogs at a time and the rooms were often way too hot. The whole work environment was very cliquey and management 100% picked favorites. The only okay person was Emma because she was kind and seemed to care about the employees, but she lets the other managers walk all over her. I have never seen a facility with such a high new-hire turnover rate. Employees were in and out to the point where you didn't know anyone's name anymore. You are hired on the spot but if you make a single mistake, you're fired without warning. While I was there, almost none of the employees were trained correctly and never took the Kennel Cough protocol seriously as it can be very dangerous to senior dogs. There were so many dog fights. I know of at least one that was sent to the vet because management refused to turn away an aggressive dog. There are rarely managers present in the building so half the time it is just a couple of kids running the building. The entire company lacks communication and sanitation. They give their employee one USED work shirt and that's about it. If you are considering working here, don't. You can do so much better even with zero experience. Come work at a Vet and make an actual difference!!

I love this place! Wonderful customer service and great location for me. My dog is so exhausted when he comes home that he sleeps deeply bc I know he’s had tons of fun while at the daycare. The people who work here are polite, positive, and easy to work with.

My Aussie Jack has been going to this location for over a year and Jack and I love it. The staff there is exceptional. I have signed him up for training there also and he is doing really well. I would highly recommend Dogtopia as a fun and safe place to leave your fur babies. They are awesome!

An unprofessional work environment & lack of dog care. The dog to person ratio is absurdly unequal. One staff member is typically in a cramped room with a range of 15-30 dogs, everyone is barely given breaks & we aren’t allowed to crouch down or sit momentarily, or take short bathroom breaks even though staff was aware i have bladder issues. Very cliquey, makes you feel like an outsider. I was targeted for criticism by managers leading to me feeling like i was walking on eggshells. I felt the most comfortable around Emma because of her demeanor whereas Liz will yell in your face. I’d witness other workers raising their voices, not following protocol, being inattentive but would never receive any feedback. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your dog here if you want your dog to be given attention and not stepping on pee & eating feces. If thinking of working here, find somewhere with an outside facility and where workers are treated better. Treatment of workers=better environment for your babies.

I LOve LOVe LOVE this place!! I took my dog originally so that she could have some activities during the day rather than being bored at my office with just me. She has learned to socialize and loves all her new friends! Thank You Team for being so wonderful to my "Vannah White".

I have been taking my puppy here since she was four months old and they have always taken great care of her. She loves it there and comes home tired for the rest of the day. They always pay close attention to her and send home report cards, photos, and art she made.

We have traveled around the country and used Dogtopia nationwide - the Holladay location took care of us and our pups and were beyond kind. They clearly explained how their location worked and gave us updates at the end, we can always tell how it is from our dogs reaction and our dogs LOVED them! They knew each person coming in and out and how to work with their dogs needs. Beyond impressed with this location.

It’s sad what this place has become really. The policies change constantly. They keep increasing prices. We used to go here with my dog that has had no behavior issues with them. We had not been back in over a year so they said we needed to re-do our meet and greet. We did. My dog passed with flying colors. Then after that they tell me she has to have one day of day care before she can do an overnight. I question why and they said that’s their policy. I look on the website there is no such policy posted publicly. I leave saying I’m frustrated with these policy changes. Then I get a call back from them (I left a message asking for a better explanation) and they go on and on about dog behaviors change. Then they tell me it’s NOW 3 days of day care required for my dog to stay overnight (but they just had a perfect meet and greet with my dog and she’s never had behavior problems during her previous stays) What? Ok so their so called “policy” seems a little more like a money grab now. I ask where this policy is posted because I couldn’t find it. They said they don’t have it posted. From my end this business chooses what it wants to do. I originally stopped going here (hence the over the year gap) because my dog kept getting sick at Dogtopia. I didn’t write a bad review then. But hey, looks like I got a second chance!

Very wierd - big dogs barking, running around in medium sized room, one tech standing with clipboard. Not allowed to see the little dog area, because it would upset the dogs, but a small room - I believe no seating for techs to sit & cuddle with dogs. Sad. No outdoor area. Not a place I would want to leave my dog. Very nerve-wracking for dog & me.Bye-bye. Very young staff, there is something to be said for having at least one older seasoned employee or trainer. They might handle the dogs more professionally. But most places have only very young staff present.

My pupper names Jagger has loved going. We started this month. He always gets excited to go and play. We got him from someone who used him for breeding, and he never learned how to actually be a dog. Joining Dogtopia has helped him learn how to have fun and play with other dogs. Just in the few times that I’ve brought him he’s starting to play a lot more. It’s wonderful to watch! The staff is always super friendly and nice. And they really care about the dogs that attend. I would 10/10 recommend!!

Couldn’t be happier with my dog’s experience at Dogtopia! He’s been going to daycare once a week for over a year and is always so happy and well taken care of. We’ve also boarded him there on a few occasions when we weren’t able to take him on trips with us. Dogtopia’s webcam makes it easy to “check in” to see how our boy is doing. Also love that they offer spa/grooming treatments, so it becomes a one-stop shop and makes everything much easier! Lastly, it’s such a warm and welcoming environment and the staff are always so excited to see our boy each morning he arrives. Love this place!

Don’t ever work at this place! I worked for maybe a week or two and the people that work here are not nice they will bully you and then they will turn their back on you!! It has the worst management and people here!! And it wasn’t even my fault they don’t even take care of your dogs here!!! Also the management is never there so who knows if they even care about it!! And they don’t do background checks or paperwork for taxes so it is a very sketchy place of work!! Don’t bring your dog here or at the Midvale location ever!!

Mel, Ed, their staff, and facility are TOP NOTCH!! OUTSTANDING!!! I wish I could give 100 stars! No doubt, the one and ONLY place to bring your furry friend for day care or boarding. Your pup/dog will thank you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❣️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️I have been taking my furry best friend, Willow, to Dogtopia (Arizona, now SLC) since she was a baby. There is not another boarding or care facility that can come close to providing the quality of care and love and professionalism that Dogtopia offers. Willow LOVES being there. Each and every dog is treated with the greatest of TLC!I read some of the more negative reviews and was shocked. Because of my long time experience with Dogtopia and time taken get to know the owners and the staff, I DO NOT BELIEVE those reviews and want to encourage readers, to go see the awesomeness for yourself!!!!! 😀 Some people are just hateful. That’s all I can chalk it up to. Because I have countless experiences, as do many dog ownwers people I know, and not one, NOT ONE, can come up with an even mildly negative thing to say. LOL! WE LOVE DOGTOPIA AND CANT SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR PROVIDING an unparalleled environment for our furry friends to be home while away from home!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want the BEST doggie daycare & boarding for your furry friend then check out Dogtopia of Holladay. My pup, Lucy has been going here since she was 3 months old. I started bringing Lucy to Dogtopia the first week they opened their doors! The employees are amazing and the facilities are clean and safe. Lucy absolutely loves Dogtopia and gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot! She can't wait to get out of the car to see her doggie friends! I won't take Lucy anyplace else. You and your furry friend will love Dogtopia of Holladay!

me and my roommate both used to work here, my roommates dog was pinned down and had two slip leads wrapped around her neck while attempting to trim her nails after we said don’t it if she won’t let you. they ignore our request and did it anyways and her eyes hemorrhaged causing blood pockets around her eyes. i was attacked multiple times while working in the dogs rooms and everytime the dogs would attack they would not get dismissed. the employees they hired after me would sit on their phones or put youtube on the tv and would barely get in trouble, terrible place to work. i worked there and got paid less than their employees who got trained incorrectly

My dog loves daycare. Everyone knows my dog by name. He was nervous at first, but warmed up to the staff. I’m grateful for their time and patience with my dog. I also love that he doesn’t smell when he comes home from here.

We absolutely love Dogtopia of Holladay! We've been using them for a few months now and have never had a bad experience. From dropping off for daycare, to boarding over night, it's all been great and helps ease the worry of leaving our fur baby, Winter, with someone else while we're out of town. The staff is amazing. They're always so professional and treat our pup so loving. With each drop off they always go over her emergency contact, feeding schedules, asks about any medications or allergies. They also allow us to bring her bed, blanket, and monkey that she sleeps with. The facility is very clean and smells great. We always see them cleaning up when we check on our pup with the cameras. Yes they have cameras! Huge bonus so we can peak in on her to see how she's doing.Winter loves going to Dogtopia as well! As soon as we get out of the car she can't wait to get inside and start playing. She doesn't even look back as they take her back into the playroom. She always comes home sleepy from playing so much. They also have bathing options for when your pup goes home, and they give you the option to allow for play after the bath or not.We will always use Dogtopia of Holladay for our daycare and boarding needs!!

DO NOT TRUST THE MANAGER LIZ OR THE OWNER KYLE. They are money hungry and totally disrespectful to their customers. Run if you want proper care and attention to detail for a dog daycare. Poor management who is unprofessional. Miscommunication with the dog parents. They like to conveniently change policies on the fly when it works for them. Do not board your dog here if you want responsible people watching over your pet.

Scheduled a meet and greet with them on a Thursday but unfortunately they rescheduled to a Sunday and confirmed on the phone they were able to reach my vet about my pups vaccines. That was fine things happen. 15 minutes before the Sunday meet and greet they ask to reschedule again as they asked and no one was able to reach my vet to confirm vaccination. Poor organization and professionalism. The first cancellation was for being understaffed that day and the second was for incompetence in verification of your appointments. My vet isn't open on Sunday to fix it. As lovely as the place is I will not be using them if this is how they treat new customers.
