Glad to find this place open on Christmas holiday time. There were families having late lunch. Very large seating area, great for large parties. There was a second floor section with arts on the wall and live music area. Large menu serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Affordable prices. They also serve bottle and can beer .We had 2 hot sandwiches and both tasted fresh and great. Rock chips were homemade. Staff members were polite. Great place in the middle of Helper.Parking: Large street, easy to find parking nearby

I'm just updating this review to say we're in town again, and Balance Rock did not disappoint! We visited for breakfast and had a great experience, enjoyed the friendly staff and ate some great food. We fed four adults with drinks, and after a generous tip it came out to $84.This will continue to be one of our regular stops every time we come up Helper. You SHOULD NOT miss this place while you're here.Balance Rock Eatery was one of the highlights of our trip through Carbon County! They offer an eclectic vibe with a historical flair and no-joke, filling fair at prices that will make you chuckle while you hand over your payment. The staff is friendly, engaging, and animated, and the portions are more than generous. There's lots to choose from and everything we tried was delicious - the Gomer Pile is our favorite.

We went 7 years ago and loved it. Came back for the first time. Super yummy food. Huge portions. My favorite is the $4 pancakes which are huge and fluffy.I got an omelette. The flavor was good. It came with a huge portion of hash browns and a massive pancake. You could easily split up.My kid said it was 1,000,000 out of 10. Oh! And they had real maple syrup.

We went last night for dinner and this morning for breakfast. Dinner was quick and good. Our breakfast was slow because there was a issue in the kitchen but the staff kept us informed and honestly we were having a lazy Sunday morning so we weren't in a rush. It also let the weather warm up more so we could walk around outside. Our breakfasts were HUGE. It's 1.30pm as I write this. I think we had breakfast at 10? (I didn't really keep track of time) and I am still way too full for lunch!I highly recommend the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. My breakfast was French toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and kielbasa. My gf had a scone (save some of the stuff for scones for your French toast and you'll feel like a kid again), home fries (which looked really good), and the biggest omelet I think I've ever seen. She was also really full.Even though dinner was good, I really think breakfast was the star. I can't wait to take another weekend trip to Helper and eat here again.

Breakfast. Husband ordered French Toast made with cinnamon swirl bread that he enjoyed. I ordered The Gomer Pile which was very good. However the scone was the best part of the meal. It's not dinner-plate size like some are but it was better than that and so very delicious. Very nice, very prettily decorated, restaurant with good service. Pretty yellow mugs with good coffee. (I never mention this, but, ladies, take a peek at the fancy restroom.)

Recommended by a local when passing through and a big THANK YOU for the tip. The amazing smell in the air is hunger inducing, the food is delicious, and the portion sizes will satisfy even the most hungry. Absolutely stopping be here again next time through! My own tip: if you even slightly like chips and salsa do yourself a favor and order an appetizer. You're going to love them!

Nice local restaurant in the heart of Helper. Solid portions, tasty American fare all served by a very friendly Staff. The place has a fun atmosphere with a historic twist + local artwork is on display on the mezzanine level. Great place for family dining as well as a cozy lunch or dinner for two.

Outstanding place to get food. We came across this place looking for a place to eat, saw it had great reviews and had to stop.I ordered their Balancing Rock chicken sandwhich. Hands down, best chicken sandwhich I've had in years! The meat was juicy, the bacon thick and hearty, the portions were amazing and the price seems too good to be true. The whole family enjoyed it!

We got burger and rib eye steak. Everything was good except my steak just tasted like pure charcoal. It was not seasoned at all, not even salt. When I told the server, It was told that they dont put anything bc pf one guy was washing the steak due to too much seasoning.they should state that on the menu " steak is not seasoned unless you ask for it"

The Balance Rock Eatery is a wonderful restaurant, with great food and service. Look to the Fish and Chips and the Ribeye and New York steak. It's really fun, they serve a scone with honey butter and a great salad or soup with each dinner entree.

A cafe situated in a former furniture sales store. Yes, it's unusual, but in a good way. My wife and I have dined here on two occasions now, and we enjoyed both. The food is good. They make a nice omelet here. The sandwiches are nice too, my wife enjoyed the pastrami burger particularly. Service was good and the place is tidily kept. Oh and the bathrooms? Well you have to see them to believe them. Seriously.
