Great store in this gas station. Lots of food options and a deli sometimes. They had local apples and fresh, homemade caramel apples in mid-October.

I was there during Sept 2022 on a motorcycle tour from NC to Southern Utah and Colorado. I stayed at a nearby campground. Stopped in for gas and coffee. The clerk, a pretty brunette lady, was exceedingly nice and friendly. I wish I could remember her name. My phone was nearly dead and she allowed me to plug my phone charger into the wall and charge while I was enjoying my coffee and conversation. She was even helpful enough to locate and sell me a quick charge USB phone charger that fit the cigarette lighter port on my bike. Which, btw, proved to be a very very useful item over the rest of the trip to keep my phone and GoPro camera charged up. She even obliged me to take a photo with my giant monkey head. Something that I was taking across the country on my trip and taking photos of along the way. All in all, I thought the facility and the staff were wonderful and would recommend that everyone stop in if they have the chance. Thanks. -Rick (NC)

Very well kept and stocked. Bathroom was nice and clean! Thank you for that. Easy to get in and out even with a large RV. Right along the highway at the edge of the city of Escalante.

Went to this Sinclair convenience store for a six pack of an alcoholic beverage for a camping trip. Chose an item that was advertised to be discounted on the window of the cooler display case. When I went to pay for the item, the price of the item was not the sale price, but the full price. When I asked the clerk about it, she just said that they 'hadn't gotten around to taking the sign off'. At first I refused to pay the higher price when there clearly was a sign on the door, telling her this was wrong and wanted to talk to the manager. When it took too long for the manager to show up, I just put the item back where I took it from and left and didn't purchase anything at all. I was not about to be the victim of what appeared to be a 'bait and switch' scheme and didn't know how many other items in the store were 'marketed' in this way. I would urge others to be mindful of an item's shelf price and final price before paying as it left me wondering how many other items in this store ring up at a higher price than advertised on the shelf.

Go Lenny! We were stuck out on the wrong side of a washed out portion of Hole in the Rock road when Lenny rolled up to help. Said he’d had to close up shop early to come out and help but had heard there were some folks that were in need. Great guy who got all muddy trying to get us through. Stopped by the station the next morning to say thanks and the lady at the register was less than hospitable and actually very unprofessional. The food was good and strawberry fritters delicious though. The gas pump worked fine. Keep Lenny on and let the cranky lady go (worked morning of 15 July). Thanks for the assist Lenny and the breakfast and fill-up!

Went to pet the little green dinosaur and it bit me. But still giving 5 starts to compensate for the negative reviews from people who were tricked into believing The Big Lie during COVID and were scared because most customers didn't wear masks.. Now we know that, indeed, masks were pointless and the sunshine in Escalante was the greatest protection known.

many people might be saying that the card reader doesn’t work but it works if you try a couple times. also ifyou are going in and buying things the staff is very nice and helpful and will give you directions too almost everywhere. also there food is amazing.

Avoid... Management is unfriendly to the hiking community. I was told management would not allow me to fill up my water bottle regardless of whether or not I purchased other things or gas at the place. I was told I should go to the visitor center at the other end of town to fill up. I was heading that way when I saw a Phillips. I stopped there filled up my hydroflask like every other gas station I've been to in my life. I then bought some snacks, filled up the car, and went on my way.Management at this Sinclair needs to reexamine... Insanity.

I just don't have time for a business that can't maintain their equipment. Card readers DO NOT work, contrary to erroneous reports below (taped signs over the readers, you have to go in) and plastic bags over the diesel pumps. Went back in town to buy at the 66; same price but their stuff works.

This is not a very clean gas station, and the pumps I couldn't get to read my card. I would rather go down the street to the Phillips 66. They do have snacks and restrooms inside, but the workers just glared at us the whole time. I would go somewhere else unless you're desperate.

Spent about 10 minutes trying to pump gas. I gave up after about $15 and went into town to finish filling up at a competitors station. To add insult to injury, the pump wouldn't print a receipt.Usually slow pumping is caused by dirty/clogged filters. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Don't buy gas here First the card reader at the pump doesn't work. They will take your Sinclair card, but don't dare ask for your $.10/ gallon discount. The minute you bring that up, they've never heard of Sinclair and will be fired on the spot if they give you the discount for using the Sinclair card. You''d never think you'd get scammed in a town like this, but it happens.

This store is a covid-19 train wreck. The key to not catching covid-19 in Escalante, Utah is not going into any stores or shops. This establishment has no respect for tourists or visitors who come here to spend their money.Absolutely no one, staff or customers, are wearing masks.

Clean store that is well stocked with food, snacks, drinks and other items. Bathrooms are clean. Fuel prices are a little high but comparable for this area.

Rollo burger. I never heard of it but I made one and tried it. Awesome. The lady running the store at the time was informative about the town. Great burger. Try one

We just passed through the canyon and got there for gas. They were outside closing up early and shut the pumps off. She was taking trash out and saw us, and didn't give a dam.
