Rustic, and simple, but comfortable! Rooms are clean and that's really all that counts. It's a massive tourist trap with over 700 rooms, located in a family-owned city believe it or not! The buffet is a good one with a wide variety of typical "Golden Corral" choices. The store has a nice selection of native American Cheerios, and souvenirs. The lobby is spacious and comfortable too, although it was sad the fireplace wasn't lit despite cold outside. They must process hundreds and hundreds of people everyday!

If you are staying on the first floor, pack your patience!! Better yet, if they give you a room on the first floor, tell them no!!The people above us on the second floor must have been practicing their hiking skills! I didn't think you could walk the much in a hotel room!! You can hear all walking, banging, etc on the first floor. At 11:30 pm, we finally called the front desk.Rooms are clean, we tried to check in at 3pm instead of 4 and we're told our room wasn't ready. It's a cool spot, but not sure I would stay again.Pro- room is good size, fridge in room is big, steakhouse was good and had great service.Cons- noise and no early check in

STAY AWAY!!!! I wish I could give 0 or negative scores because we had a terrible experience. We got in very late after coming back from Grand Canyon because there were unexpected road closures and dealing with their awful service was the last thing we needed. We had called ahead to inform them about the delays and at least the girl on the phone reported that she would make a note to the staff. We get in at 11:45pm and when we get to our room- it is a mess. Garbage around the room, stuff on the bed and towels all over the bathroom. When we call about the issue the front desk responds as if we are an inconvenience to them. The Maintainance guy who came was at least pleasant and I guess someone who could do a quick clean but realizes the room wasn’t serviced at all. He at least tried to work w us, saying he would walk down to the front desk to try to get another room. We get to the front desk and the person couldn’t care less. They just said that there were no other rooms and maybe their on call cleaning person could come. They wouldn’t even offer a discount if we even waited for the cleaning person. We were so disgusted and left. Thankfully Bryce Canyon Resort down the road had a vacancy, and they were extremely helpful. Best western may be convenient/lower price but seems like if you have a problem, you are SOL.

This hotel is definitely something to see. The lodge is amazing! There is a large restaurant, a grocery store and 2 gift shops inside! There is even an old time photo shop. The pool is huge and very warm and is open from 7am-10pm! There was a ton of people coming for breakfast but we were seated so fast. I will definitely book here again if we visit Bryce Canyon.Rooms: Rooms had a fridge and microwave. Bed had comfortable pillows.Nearby activities: So close to Bryce Canyon National Park!Safety: Felt completely safe here.Walkability: Easy to walk around to get to amenities.Food & drinks: So many good options from their restaurant to the grocery store.

Stayed at Ruby's for 2 nights. Great location. The room was good. Would recommend staying. We went last week in April & could drive to the park. There is a shuttle stop right there. We had the breakfast buffet each morning. Eggs, potatoes, sausage & gravy, oatmeal, fruit, bagels. One morning they had bacon & pancakes the other morning was sausage & French toast. We used the laundry facility around 6/7 at night. The machines were 'eating' change so that became an issue (some machines couldn't be used b/c of this. The cashier was helpful in getting me quarters & told me to go to the front desk when the machine ate my quarters.FYI-I was told the RV/ camping laundry machines are nicer (& less issues).Overall we enjoyed it & would recommend it.Nearby activities: Bryce Canyon.

We stayed in lakeview lodge of Best western plus ruby's inn. They have some other lodges outside of the hotel but in the same compound. Very nice, clean and quiet lodge with great view. They have a laundromat which is really good if you want to clean your cloths. Inside the hotel there is a restaurant, a gallery, a photoshop store and a big gift store. There is a shuttle stoppage of Bryce canyon park outside of the hotel and they have an information booth inside the hotel where you get all the maps of the park. The hotel provided us breakfast coupons of the restaurant and it was buffet breakfast. Food options were really good. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

Perfectly situated for a visit to Bryce Canyon, literally a few minutes drive from the gateway. We had just one night here, so I can't comment too much on other surrounding amenities but there was an on-site dining room, where you can get breakfast (with your voucher) and dinner (pay as you would at any restaurant), as well as some other dining options, depending on the season.Check-in was quick. Parking was easy.Just a note: check in before taking your bags to reception. There may be rooms in the main building but most of the rooms are in separate building blocks on the property, and you may end up putting all your bags back in the car and driving to your room (you'll still be walking distance to the main lodge and on-site pool, store and restaurants). They even have a post office, which was very handy for me funnily enough. We had a ground-floor, accessible room. Parking was right outside the door. It was clean, spacious and Mum's request for extra blankets was swiftly acted on. Absolutely no issues. Good stay for great value.

We stayed here over the weekend and had an incredible time. We have two, teenage boys and they loved this place. The included breakfast is phenomenal; so delicious compared to most "included" breakfasts because it is prepared at an actual restaurant. There was a huge selection of food, from oatmeal to pancakes or French toast; bacon or sausage; fresh, scrambled eggs; yogurt; juices; hot cocoa with whipped cream; fresh fruit (including melon and pineapple); and an assortment of breads and bagels and cereals. There were also very crispy breakfast potatoes and biscuits and gravy. We also at dinner here each day and it included a fresh salad bar; baked salmon; pot roast; mashed potatoes and two kinds of gravy; roasted and steamed vegetables; delicious cakes and rolls; and baked and teriyaki chicken. Honestly, my teens were in heaven. The hotel is mostly a motel and we were in a motel building, Deer Lodge. We had two King beds which was great and the room was awesome. It was quiet and had plenty of towels and clean linens. The location is perfect if you are going to Bryce Canyon National Park or Kodachrome Basin. There is also a huge general store and a grocery store that has everything from frozen food to fresh produce. The prices are very fair considering the competition, the location, and the included breakfast. We would absolutely stay here again. The staff is so kind and hard-working; every server we had was awesome and we will miss seeing them.

This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it is absolutely perfect if you are visiting Bryce Canyon! Location is great, it's at an excellent price, rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the breakfast is awesome (and included!!!) Service is also very good; we had an issue with our running water when we arrived, and the problem was resolved immediately! They also have a laundry facility on site, which is great after days of hiking and yearning for clean clothes!!! I would not stay anywhere else if I visit Bryce Canyon again!

The very warm yellow lighting made it difficult to see well in the room for my mother, particularly in the morning when getting ready. Upon arrival, we were able to check in a bit earlier than 4 pm, however we quickly noted a broken fridge shelf and stained curtains in the room. The beds seemed clean though, and were quite comfortable so we made do as the hotel seemed busy. Shower water temperature was difficult to get just right, but the two sinks in the bathroom space were appreciated. As were the sealed body bar and hand soaps. It’s to be expected that people in the park rise early, nevertheless, it was quite loud in the room before 8 AM, even on the 2nd floor in the rear of the property.Breakfast included eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bagels and cream cheese, and various fruit with cottage cheese. Coffee and orange juice were self serve, with no alternative milk options for those with dairy intolerances (not uncommon, just something to be noted). Having waitstaff at breakfast felt unnecessary and made the breakfast space feel much more crowded. Family members didn’t love having to tip for someone to essentially bus a table while you self serve a pretty much standard continental breakfast.Rooms: Dimly lit rooms, with very yellow lighting. Mini fridge shelf was broken and bedroom curtains had stains. Shower was a bit frustrating in that it was either too hot or too cold, but the beds were comfortable and seemed clean.Nearby activities: Located on the Main Street, so it’s perfectly situated for walking around to the nearby shops or hopping on the shuttle to Bryce Canyon.

I stayed late winter and there was much snow melt and mud around. I appreciate the layout of the room which gave a place to remove boots and not track around dirt onto the carpet.I came to conduct business at the national park pre-season. It was fine for my purposes, but I could readily see the venue would be a hub of great activity during the tourist season. Well maintained and operated, it looks to be fun place to stay for pleasure.

Would recommend staying here on your way to Bryce. 5 minutes into the parks entrance. The breakfast buffet was included in our rate, Pretty decent food and they got people in and out quickly. The kids loved the pool. My favorite part was the liquor store in the main lobby. The prices were cheapFood & drinks: They have a grocery store onsite. Very convenient

The rooms were spacious enough for a family of 4. We had enough space for 4 small suitcases and still doing space to walk around the room. There are 2 sinks so it was more efficient for us to wash up and get ready to go or ready for bed.The only issue I found is that the walls and ceilings are not soundproofed very well. We were in the Lakeview Lodge and there was a lot of squeaking when walking around the room as well as when we were sleeping I heard a lot of walking and talking from other rooms. The included breakfast was great. They provided a buffet of soup, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, potato fritters, fruits and vegetables, juice, and more.

first of all - great location! 4 minutes feom the sunset point. and since it was the only one of option for stay it did work for us.rooms were very dated , with motel-style entrance, but beds were fine and shower hot.it is a pet friendly but pet fee is 30$ per day per pet. they have store where you can find everything you need from groceries to souvenirs to the hiking gear (which will be 2-3 times more expensive, but it is expected)breakfast buffet was better than most hotels, with lots of protein options and hot meals.

Interesting history of the place. I didn't find the restaurant very appealing but my brother thought it alright. We had dinner and breakfast. Other than salad bar there isn't much in the way of healthy food. It's definitely about quantity for the numerous guests. Located outside Bryce Canyon is great so you can get up and to the park before it gets too busy if you desire.

I travel quite a bit, so I feel comfortable saying that this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The property is extremely run down and the staff is less than helpful. The room I was given was dirty and essentially looked like a dungeon. When I called the front desk, Vero answered and was extremely rude and couldn’t care less. She said there was nothing she could do. When I asked for a supervisor, she said “he’s busy.” I went to the front desk, waited in line, and then just happened to be called up by the shift supervisor for him to assist me. I told him what happened, he apologized and said he “upgraded” me and got me a room in the main building, at the end of the hall, far from the noise. The room was on the first floor, next to the pool and next to the side entrance door. It was extremely loud from the door slamming all night and people stomping around above me. Breakfast was extremely pathetic and all the food was gross. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. The owners know they have a great location and a monopoly right outside of the park, so they’re trying to take advantage of their customers.

Location is good and rooms were clean however the food was horrid. The breakfast was mushy and disgusting and the dinner menu was so odd I didn’t even bother ordering. It includes such items as the “half chicken, uniquely seasoned”. All in all this place services simply due to a lack of competition.Food & drinks: The food is the worst I’ve seen. I would not touch it with a ten foot pole.

I was apprehensive about the stay after having seen poor reviews about itchy beds and bad towels but had a very pleasant stay. The hot and powerful shower was great after a cold sunrise watching, bathtub big enough and clean for a nice soak. Basic and no frills but ample space in the room. Went during easter holiday but pricing was fair, same goes for buffet. Food is meh but no one comes to Bryce for that, and they really did try with variety (fresh veg in the salad bar was great!) and operation was good. All staff I've encountered were very helpful.

We came in at 1Pm to see if room available. We politely admitted that we were early. I have rented 100's of rooms and a lot of times if available you can get in a couple hours early. We were met with a stern denial and lecture that they were booked the previous night and the earliest we could even consider would be 330 PM. We looked at the pool area and planned a nice evening enjoying the amenities after hiking at Bryce Canyon. When we arrived back around 6Pm after a long hike we requested a room near the pool. The Clerk appeared to eagerly oblige but appeared to see a road block on the screen. Another clerk tried to help out and both appeared to endure a block. Then they said they were sold out. We booked a room several months ago and now were told we would have to stay in a nearby property. We asked for the manager and she basically could care less and was actually very rude and snarky in fact saying that "we don't have to stay there!"Well we pre-paid through a 2nd party so ..."yeah we are kind of screwed to stay here or lose our money. We were so flustered and upset we started to walk away to our room without our room key and the manager actually made fun of us about this saying "Wouldn't you like to see your room??"We resigned to our fate and drove 1/4 of a mile meandering through motel units until we found ours-which just happened to be the furthest-which I am sure was spiteful on her part since we pushed back with our displeasure. The Best Western Ruby advertises itself as an "INN" or "HOTEL". The reality of it is that the Hotel only has about 15% of the total room inventory. The rest is a complete sprawling campus of motels of various names spread out where if you are unlucky like us you will have quite a journey back to home base. When we arrived at our "motel" we were met with a nice mix of dog smell and simply green-not the glamour we looked forward to after perusing the pictures on their "hotel" site which give zero indication of this scenario whatsover-caveat emptor!!!As other reviews have indicated they have good location and nostalgia and I feel they purposefully hoodwink their customers and could care less because they know they will get suckers to come there-very sad indeed!!!On a positive note the staff in the restaurant area were very nice and you can buy various souvenirs onsite and the workers there were very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was well taken care of and pretty good albeit the amount of grazers was like seeing locusts in a corn field. The steak I had was very poor as was the campy entertainment across the street which was a tired country cover band where they desired a king's ransom to see coupled with dinner. In summary come here for location if you wish but I would book directly and ask questions about where you are staying. We asked staff about how to book and were met with varying cryptic answers. I personally would rather stay any where else in the future as I don't believe in feeding machines of deceit like this place. This was the way it was. We were very disappointed as we were not willing to endure the commute just to enjoy the amenities just to go out in the cold and commute back to our MOTEL. I feel we were prejudised against because we booked with a 2nd party and they flatly said deal with them---even though they do business with "said" 2nd party and make a lot of money through their bookings but we were bumped out of our room to make way for higher monetary bookings they could achieve that night. Not a business I would recommend doing business with!!!!!Rooms: Most are motel rooms in a sprawling campus like scenario.Nearby activities: Bryce Canyon-amazing!!!Walkability: Shuttle nearby. Your Motel they will assign you is a long walk to the main area where the pool and restaurant are located.Food & drinks: Nice salad bar-bad steaks. OHH I asked for the Rustler Ribs and was met with" we don't have them" like I should have known better.Noteworthy details: Good location at start of shuttle-nice place to get a T-shirt. They have a laundromat amongst the sprawling motels.

We had a nice stay in the Ruby inn. The rooms were simple but clean and what you can expect. Definitely not too bad. Not the best in noise cancellation, but that happens in most hotels! Defenitely good from that point.Location wise, the best. Very close to Bryce and ideal as a base to "go out" and explore the most beautifull canyon there is. There is also a good shop included and lots of things to see!Service wise was decent; the buffet was kinda long wait time and it did seem not all people where "happy" to work there. They did their best btw, but was sometimes littlw chaotic. Buffet itself was very good and also the breakfast waa nice. All in all, would stay there again, cause the location and facilities are very good and convenient to have around!Nearby activities: Very close access to Bryce.

Upon arrival, our hotel room was not even cleaned or ready yet. We had to wait 20 minutes in the hallway with our luggage and wait for house cleaning crew to clean up. They didn’t speak any English to communicate with us and had to use Google translate on her phone. Once we entered the room, the bathroom door was jammed locked. Once again we had to alert the cleaning crew for maintenance to come and unlock it for us. We tried calling the front desk using the room phone but apparently, the phone lines weren’t working either. After all this, we went to tell the front desk that we are canceling our room. They were rude and didn’t even care to apologize for any inconvenience so we left. Not returning to this outdated hotel again.

We loved the beautiful, rustic look of the whole place.Breakfast (included) was plentiful, with excellent choices of healthy, nutritious spread.Staff, especially Denise and Edith were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and courteous. My only 'request' is perhaps to have the carpet vacuum cleaned prior to our arrival...😔

I was traveling through the area for work, and did not know what to expect when I booked this. As I drove into the area, it was insanely beautiful! I wasn’t expecting it at all. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and there is plenty to do on the grounds, the hotel is beautiful and would remind you of a large hunting lodge. The restaurant inside is great and you can count on there being plenty of options. The rooms were very nice with a new TV and plenty of amenities. Breakfast was free and was way better than most hotel breakfast. I would 10 out of 10 recommend staying here if you are traveling through Bryce Canyon. It is definitely a beautiful place to see! 😀

The rooms are on the small side but worked fine. Swimming pool was nice as it was indoors but it wasnt super kid friendly since it wasn't shallow enough for the younger kiddos. But kids still liked it a lot. Breakfast buffet was included but we paid for dinner buffet. Both buffets were great and lots of options. I think the only down side is that going to breakfast required walking from a diff building to the restaurant which was always a whole thing with kids in colder weather. The attached general store is also awesome. We pretty much packed our lunches with their hot dogs and sandwiches. Also got some frozen broccolis and steamed them up in the rooms microwave. There's also shuttle service to Bryce which we didn't use, and driving to Bryce was every short. In general i would recommend this place.

Another Remarkable Stay at Ruby's Inn in Bryce, UtahI recently had the pleasure of going once again to Ruby's Inn in Bryce, Utah, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional as always. My stay at this charming establishment was marked by outstanding service, led by the remarkable Manager Irina and the ever-impressive waiter David at the Cowboy's Buffet & Steak Room.A few years back, during one of my first visits to Ruby's Inn, I encountered a minor inconvenience during my stay, but Manager Irina's dedication to customer satisfaction left a lasting impression. She not only swiftly addressed the issue but went above and beyond to ensure my subsequent visits were nothing short of perfection. Her commitment to exceeding expectations is truly commendable, and it speaks volumes about the level of service guests can expect at Ruby's Inn.The dining experience at Ruby's Inn Cowboy's Buffet & Steak Room is equally noteworthy, thanks to the exceptional service provided by waiter David. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and commitment to going above and beyond make every meal at the restaurant a memorable occasion. David's professionalism and warmth elevate the overall atmosphere of the Cowboy's Buffet & Steak Room.Beyond the outstanding personnel, Ruby's Inn itself boasts a picturesque location, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming ambiance. The well-maintained facilities, combined with the warm hospitality of the staff, create an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to unwind and fully enjoy their stay.In conclusion, my recent visit to Ruby's Inn in Bryce, Utah, reaffirmed my belief in the exceptional quality of this establishment. Manager Irina and waiter David are shining examples of the dedicated and friendly staff that contribute to making Ruby's Inn a top-notch destination. I look forward to returning, confident that each visit will surpass my expectations and provide a memorable and delightful experience.

I'm sure not all the rooms are as bad as ours was, but the smell of some previous guest stinking foot odor prevailed for our whole 3 night stay. Coupled with an air-conditioning unit that howls like a banshee every time it kicked on, it gave us an overall disappointing stay.I know we were paying a lot for the location, which was fantastic. But put some of that money back into a rug shampoo and get that stink out. And service those air conditioners.Future guest. The location can't be beat, but if the room smells, request another. Don't suffer like we did.

Can't speak highly enough of the service from all the staff apart from the reception staff. Rude, passive aggressive, condescending and patronising. Oh, and outwardly impatient tapping on the desk because I needed to unfreeze my debit card.Following a problem with room heating reception staff never provided the requested extra blanket. They appear to have guest burnout. Their job would probably be great for them if they didn't have to deal with people.Of the hundreds, and I do mean hundreds, of hotels that I have stayed in the reception here was outstandingly the worst.Management, sort it. Or maybe you are content to exploit your monopoly.
