Rusty's Reefs is such a cool local store! They have absolutely beautiful fish, in tanks that are well maintained and appropriately sized. All the fish we've gotten here are healthy, strong, and good quality. Rusty is always so fun to talk to, you can tell how passionate and knowledgeable he is about the hobby. Rusty, Erica, Gage, and Cedar have been with us since the beginning, when we first wandered in, with no idea what we were doing. They gave us all the info we needed to start a thriving community tank. They never made us feel bad for being beginners. Rusty's Reefs has been such an amazing part of our fish-keeping journey!!

I was referred by another store to go check out Rusty's Reef.As I walked in I was Amazed by how the store looks.I'm just beginning in the saltwater hobby.The staff is Amazing and very helpful and social able for as I am not super knowledgeable about saltwater yet.I had many questions as they were answered and made my confidence level raise more than I was a few months ago when I started my tanks.I really enjoyed visiting them and I most definitely will be a returning customer as my tanks need to be filled up with more Coral.Thank you Rusty's Reef.This all went in my Fluval 13.5.

This is hands down the best fish store I’ve ever been too. Rusty is amazing and so is the rest of the staff. I’m a total beginner and had no clue how to start a saltwater tank and Rusty walked me through everything step by step. They are always so nice, helpful and really go out of their way to take care of their customers. I honestly can’t say enough about this place!

Just wanted to say that Rusty and his crew at Rusty’s Reefs are beyond exceptional! They have helped me get back into an old love of salt water tanks after years of not having a tank. I started back up in March of this year and they walked me step-by-step in relearning the hobby and the new improved ways of the sport with my 65 gal FOWLR. They have never let me buy what my tank is not ready for and their store is super clean and tanks and displays are always stocked and healthy. Rusty himself even took the time away from all his customers to help me to fix a plumbing issue that stumped me for days and left me in much better shape with a now fully functioning tank. I’ve enjoyed picking up the hobby again because of all their knowledge and guidance. They truly have a love for the aquatic world and it shows in their care of their livestock and amazing customer service. They never tire of my million questions and are so patient when it comes to me making my selection of fish. My family absolutely loves coming with me to his shop and seeing all of the new beauties that come in weekly. I’ve had all my fish so far acclimated perfectly with no illnesses or issues and I refuse to go anywhere else as his establishment is always stocked with the most amazing of fish and corals. With their help I felt confident in the hobby, so much that I’ve already started a second tank, 75 gal, and can’t wait to stock it up!!! Love this place so much I even named my African Flameback after Rusty. LOL. Best aquatic store in Utah!Oh and for those of you that love the world of Amphibians and Isopods you have to check out the new section of the store dedicated to them!!

I really like Rusty's. It's a locally owned and operated, independent fish store with lots of great animals and supplies. The employees are always helpful and are always happy to answer questions. In my opinion, places like this are much better to go to than big chain pet stores like PetSmart or Petco.

I am so upset with how beautiful my reef tank is! I can't hardly not look at it all day!With Rusty's, you won't need to go anywhere else!And if you're down to clownfish, they have a pretty sweet setup of exotic froggies, all of which I've been told not to lick...Do it. Spend all your money here. Start your hobby. No ragrets. 👍Also, they have bugs and spiders.. but in a good way.

Rusty, his wife, and his staff are very helpful and informative, we started out with no knowledge on salt water tanks. With their help we bought our Biocube tank with everything we needed to start it going. They helped us understand which marine life we needed to get the look we want, and which stages to introduce everything. His prices are extremely competitive, and his personable staff make our drive from Tooele to his shop in Bountiful worth taking the time to continually buy from him.

What an amazing place to shop for fish. They offer both see freshwater and saltwater fish. Along with all the Underwater accessories you could ask for. Also you can come get terrariums and frogs. They offer them customized with all these great extras and then you can fill them with different kinds of lizards. Just an amazing place with all the things we need to own your a private animal kingdom.

One of my favorite shops for fish. Rusty is so knowledgeable and willing to help. He had some really cool rare fish and coral coming in all the time and has helped me upgrade my tanks a few times. I really like the look of my tank dude to his recommendations. I highly recommend you stop in and check out the fish. I’ve purchased all my coral here and probably 20 fish so far. Everything I purchase is super healthy and colorful and haven’t had issues in my tanks. Everything gets along and work together. For me I’ve gone from fresh water to salt water and love it! I’ve gone from a 20 gallon long tank to a 40 gallon and 35 gallon salt water tanks and now am upgrading to one 220 gallon tank! Prices are great here and they have everything you need.

Rustys is a great store for reef fish and corals, as well as other supplies. Rusty is very knowledgeable and charged fair prices. Probably my favorite saltwater aquarium store in the state.

Best Purchase I Ever Made!!!I got two ember tetras from Rusty’s Reefs and they are great! After my two guppies from petsmart died from ich and mouth fungus I wanted to find a good fish store. I didn’t even need to quarantine the fish they were extremely healthy and the customer service was great!

Best Salt Water Store in Utah! Hard to get stuff sometimes because they're so popular sometimes they'll sell all their fish the day they get them in! That should hopefully tell you all you need to know.

While they have some good supplies the last few times I’ve been there they’ve had fish with ich in the aquatic plant tank and all of their isopods were bone dry and dead. I will personally never go there again.They’re worth a look at least once but just be wary of the health of the animals you’re looking at. If they kept their animals in better health it would be a great store.

Rusy's Reefs is by far the premier Aquarium shop in Utah. He has an amazing selection of saltwater and freshwater fish; live corals; decor; frozen and other fish food, and more. Rusty's family is often working and they are very enjoyable—as well as knowledgable. I always learn something new every time I go in. I highly recommend Rusty's Reefs to all aquarium enthusiasts.

I've been going to your typical Petco and PetSmart for my fish needs. Sometime the store associates knew what they were doing.That has now all changed. Rusty reefs is my go to place. He and his wife take time to explain in detail what is needed and answer your questions. They have great prices and you can tell he loves his fish business. I won't be going anywhere else.

Very nice staff who know what they’re doing, I’m new to being a fish owner, however just talk to them and they’ll help you out! I have a 20 Gallon tank and just bought my newest edition a Fantail Goldfish, though he needs some company besides my pretty lazy Pleco, he looks very healthy compared to the fish I used to have from Petco (got sick and contracted the disease to the rest of their tank-mates who may or may not have been sick from Petco) and my goldfish seems to like his new home, here’s a picture of Tom. Very nice place to get your wet pet.Edit: I got another fish so Tom has a friend and isn’t so lonely, so here’s Toby and Tom! :)

I really liked this place. The staff were very attentive, asked if there's any questions but weren't pushy about it. The staff I got to interact with were knowledgeable and if they didn't have an answer, another member did. The selection of fish is better than the big stores. Even more surprising is that the fish they carried, some the same as big stores, had better colors AND lower pricing than big stores. The selection isn't as big as bird world was from years ago but I'm sure pleased with what and how much they had available for freshwater and salt water.Me and my family walked out happily with our new fishie friends and will gladly return for more. I definitely recommend Rusty's Reefs!

I have been coming here for over two years now and they are so knowledgeable and helpful. They have helped me keep a healthy and happy tank. The fish I have bought from them have been in good health.I can call and ask questions and they are always willing to help and never make me feel bad for not knowing something. I also like that they care for the fish and will not push you to buy more than your tank can handle or that will not get along with what you already have. As long as I am in driving distance this is the only place I will shop when it comes to fish.

Gage is amazing and really knows his stuff. I went there this past Sunday because I thought our betta was sick, or unhappy with how our Betta was acting. With what Gage recommend our betta is doing better. The place is clean and tanks are well maintained. I definitely will be returning and highly recommend.

Best fish store! Iv gotten multiple fish from this store and have only ever had 1 die from Ich but they gave my money back for it. I definitely recommend this store if your looking for a place that’s good quality with decent prices. They also take unwanted fish and tanks. I breed guppies and sometimes I just bring the extra fry to them knowing that they’ll take good care of them

I love this store, I walk in and they know me by my first name. Staff is great, I think people need to understand that salt water fish and corals are no joke and need way more time to acclimate. You’re spending 3x the amount on live stock and corals, spend the time and research to do it right. If you rush this hobby you will kill live stock, I have always found this store with heathy fish and corals. They have ALWAYS been fair! People that give 1 stars don’t understand and don’t take the time to research period. And blame the store for their own stupidity….. hands down the best store I have been too! Great job guys, no wonder you are still growing strong! Congratulations on the new reptile store in Bountiful!!! You guys rock!

EDIT: I went a second time and it was much better this time. Great selection and the staff were SO helpful, not annoying or pushy, but just always there to help. And they were all busy working still too. Very impressed. Definitely a good fish storeI was recommended this place by many that said it was the best fish store in the Valley. I think I got my hopes up too much. The staff were very knowledgeable, and it was nice and open and clean.It might have just been a bad day when I went in (Saturday), but many of the freshwater tanks were empty and I didn't think that had a much better selection of fish than a big chain. I also felt really ignored by the staff. There were several customers at once, so I understood, but it would be like 3 employees talking to one person, while I stood there waiting. I think had I spoken up they would have been more than happy to help me, but I just felt very ignored.I would return again, I think their selection could be nice, and it was a convenient store. And if I needed advice I KNOW they would be able to help me. So I'd recommend, but I wouldn't go an hour out of my way for it.
