I had a bad experience today at the American Fork Home Depot. To level set, I am a very loyal Home Depot customer. I am probably in there every weekend and bring my two-year old daughter often. I renovated my whole basement via Home Depot and spent a small fortune. I went to Lowes once and my daughter said "Dad I like the orange store more."Anyway, I went by this Home Depot last week and they had a Weber grill on sale that I had my eyes on for a long time. I didn't have my truck, and they had a bunch of the grills so I wasn't worried about them selling out. I went by to grab one today in my truck and they only had the model unit that had been sitting outside and was very dirty, so I went in to customer support to see if they had any that were covered/in the box or if they could order me one at that price.The girl at customer service was a tall young girl who had dark hair, a nose stud, and dressed a little goth. She was very rude and said she would have to ask her manager if she could price match. She called her manager and her manager said "no, as this was the last one and that is the only reason it was discounted." This was a lie as there were a bunch discounted to this price when I had gone by earlier in the week. The girl helping me said to go look at the grill again and see if it was just dusty, as they never leave the grills outside in the winter and that they had just taken those grills outside this week. Another lie, as I go to Home Depot weekly, I know that those things sit outside year round (usually covered but still outside).So I went to look again and took a closer look. The BBQ had definitely been outside for a long time: had rust spots all over it, filled with dirt on the inside and even had a scrape on the side (see photos). I took some pictures and showed them to the girl who had been helping me. She called her manager again and told the manager that I was "hunting for a discount" because it was "dirty or something." Not at all what I had said or showed her.All I wanted was for her to price match for a grill that wasn't damaged (she said they had a few in their distribution center). The manager said she would discount if $50 for being dirty, but would not price match on the ones in the distribution center. I wasn't going to spend over $1,000.00 on a damaged BBQ. I was so frustrated with how that girl treated me, by completely ignoring what I was saying and lying to me and her manager that I ended up leaving without the grill.I am really bummed after that experience at one of my favorite stores. Prior to this, I have never had a bad experience at Home Depot. I will definitely be going to a different location from now on.

DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS FROM HOME DEPOT! WORST EXPIERIENCE EVER!! I would do no Stars but it didn't give me that option. Feb 8 was install day. I paid over 10k for 13 windows to be installed. 1 window had the wrong measurement so im still waiting for that one.The damage that was done is beyond what I ever thought would happen. The caulk around the Windows isn't straight or even put on evenly, there is some on my brick of the outside house and missing some to cover around parts of the window. When they hammered out glass in the main room there was glass flying by my TV, where i was sitting on my couch well over 9 ft away. Shards of glass on my carpet even still im finding bits and pieces left behind not to mention outside. Outside there was huge shards of glass all in the dirt and cement where my dogs go. Still finding small sharp shards. There is holes in my siding not even around the window but beside where they removed and they tried to fill with Caulk to cover it up. Inside there is plaster from my Wall missing all over areas of the house. The pictures don't do it justice. But the best part when Dee Vickery from Oquirrh Mountain Windows showed me the damage in the kitchen area the Manager from home depot was present Dana Garrett (was checking on everything) stood there as Dee said " stuff like this happens and some spackling will be able to fix it. I was a little confused when mentioned " Spackling" Dee Vickery said the best thing to do is just looking it up on "You Tube". Meanwhile the Manager Dana from Home Depot just stood there.My boyfriend was at work at the time of the finished install and i didn't get a walk around all the Windows until the 6 guys were finished. I called my boyfriend who works for a contractor telling him my frustrations and when he came home he was so disgusted with the job that was performed.Im Still waiting on the window that had the wrong measurements and a lady called 3 days ago saying March 11th is the day another company is coming out to fix the issues( which was our request we not have the same company) but does this mean I have to wait with all my furniture still 3ft way from the Windows until March 11th ? I have a surgery coming up and everything pushed 3ft away from the outside and inside.Oh but Dana told my boyfriend that he was going to give us a $ 200 dollar compensation. Are you kidding me? Ok Home Depot, $ 200 dollars that's going to be used to replace one of the large blind that was stepped on and bent during the install. Not to mention all the time spent picking up glass inside and out. That's not even all I want to say but i think i wrote a book by now. Pictures don't do it Justice.

Went to home depot to get some compost and a 2x4, to finish up some yard projects. Also checked out the garden shop. And found a plant that I've been looking for. Overall, plenty of merchandise. Even hard to find items. I liked the fact that they still have one cashier. Only problem I have is that, I'm disabled, and the parking is to far away from the exit.

I was in there just looking at appliances and Brian was so helpful he was so knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me, they have a really wide variety of stoves, microwaves, and refrigerators. A budget that everybody can work with. With their 24-month interest-free financing it's a no-brainer.

Good HD location, easy to get to and centrally located, staff is always super helpful. This last time I was there I needed help with carpet pads and two associates helped me out and were able to answer all of my questions and get me something better for my needs than what I had planned on purchasing myself. Everyone in the flooring area has been great over the last months as we have gotten new carpet installed, working with me to find a similar carpet to one that was recently discontinued and making sure that the install went smoothly. Never have to wait in line to check out, and don't have to use self checkout if you don't want to, which is a huge bonus in my book

Worst Home Depot ever! They have 6 to 7 employees working, sorry standing at self check out! when pro customers with tons of material and one employee running one register. I ask why they can’t get more registers open. They tell me they don’t have enough people.Lol!

Today’s experience was less than stellar. Went to Lindon Home Depot with a Milwaukee tool that broke. It was purchased Dec 26 2022. Lindon store was going to exchange the tool even though it was less than one month over what “policy” says. However, Lindon was out of stock. American Fork had the tool but they refused to exchange it due to the date of purchase. I understand policies I also understand customer service. For a $199 tool Home Depot of American Fork decided that policy trumps customer service/satisfaction. I spend 10’s of thousands of dollars at HD each year and in my business I would never place policy over customer relationships and service. Especially for less than $200 Just my two cents… Nice job American Fork HomeDepot!!

I do love the Home Depot’s the staff is always great and helpful. The only issue was the clutter. I know their is usually products in the isles for sale etc but this one had a ton Almost chaotic.

An okay place to shop, I guess. Prices are higher than the other options, though.As for a legal working environment from the standpoint of a former associate who spent 8 years of employment here, it is a complete disaster. Management is a complete joke. The good managers don't last long here. The bad ones encourage sexual harassment, bullying, and assault. Hard work is not rewarded here as you think. The lazy and incompetent ones are rewarded instead.

This place is seriously one of the coolest places that you’ll ever find in the area. They have a lot of the selection of great quality of variety of stuff in tools, and it’s just a great place to be you’ll find so much stuff there you will be very, very, very happy and the prices are great. They will price match their and their power-saws are awesome. They have tools that nobody else in the area carries. It made me really happy that I had saved time on my trips and didn’t have to keep going back-and-forth. Also they have lots of good wood to build stuff.

The people at the store are amazing. The other night when it started raining, I put my toddler in her car seat during the shuffle her receiver that tells her numbers for her being a type one diabetic, fell out of the pocket and landed on the ground in the parking lot. Course I went home and realized I forgot it and knew it had to of been there. I called the store to see if someone had return it and right away the customer service ran outside, check the cart and then they found in the parking lot during that time even the manager, came up and said when they get here, ask for me, and I will help them look. The representatives went above and beyond to try to find my child receiver and I’m so grateful that they had done that because not many store people have to do that. I’m very grateful for the customer service agent.. they are great and went above and beyond their job description. Thank you!

American Fork has been my new Home Depot. They are nice and knowledgeable at what they do. They will help you or get additional help for you. This is not ordinarily a place like others where you see no staff around for help. If you have an idea of what you want to do, they will have options for you which are great ideas you may never know of. Contractor friends have asked me: ( How did you do that ?) I then say that Home Depot told me but i’m not telling you. They will tell you at American Fork Home Depot !I attached the lighting that people could not figure out how I did it with a two inch hole in the sheetrock and NO Attic.

If I could give them less than a zero I would. We had a fridge delivered and 7 days later we woke up to the fridge and freezer both over 60 degrees and lost all of our food. Called the store multiple times within a week and they have hung up on us multiple times and we have asked several times to speak to the store manager and they have REFUSED to let us speak to him directly. They refuse to replace the fridge they sold us that the compressor was bad in and Samsung is even questioning why the store won't replace it. Worst customer service we have EVER had.

I just needed to make sure I recognized one of your employees. Bryan was super helpful today. My mother and I were in the store choosing tile choices for the basement we are building and Bryan came up and asked if there was anything we needed and made some great suggestions for us. We then were over by the carpet area choosing carpet. He went above and beyond to come check on us again to see if we needed any help and proceeded to help us make the right choice for our carpet. He was professional and heck he was knowledgeable of everything!! I wish there was more Bryan’s working at all Home Depot’s because he made the whole experience a delight! Give that man a raise please he deserves it! If anyone is ever at this store Bryan is your man!

I've been coming back for a while now hoping this would change but it still has not after 4 visits. As a contractor, if I'm not buying in bulk from other suppliers and have need of only 30 items or less of lumber, I prefer a quick visit to home depot. However, at the American Fork location grabbing lumber has been nearly impossible. They have plenty of it, but almost no way to load it. Every time I come they only have two or three lumber carts in the entire store, and they are always loaded up with random inventory just sitting in the middle of aisles, presumably to be unloaded at some point onto the shelves. Hauling long studs and 4x8 sheets of plywood is not possible with push carts or the small dollies that there seem to be plenty of here.Find a way to store things without taking the inexplicably small number of lumber carts at the store and leave those for use by your customers! Or just get more... please. Till then I'll be traveling to other stores to get my lumber.

Pro Deck is great! Sadly this place promoted a lumber manager to Assistant Manager and his attitude changes. This manager was very unhelpful today costing me $600 dollars. They sold me 70 T&G boards when I went to pick up they were sold out and offered a similar item but the cost was 4x more. I was frustrated but said I understood I suggested a possible discount. He rejected my suggestion and said we cant do anything else. Never had such a bad experience at HD

One of my favorite stores. I wish I had the time and add more projects to my list but there are certain things that do not allow it at the moment. They have a helpful service and you can find almost everything you need for your projects.

As an owner operator, I have delivered to Home Depot for years. As of today no more. For the same reason that I refuse to deliver to Lowe’s. Not just the attitude of the receivers, not just that they refuse to offload right at 5pm and not start back up until 9am, not just that they are cutting freight rates and finally, for going WOKE. You have not only lost me as a business partner, I turned in my Home Depot credit cards. I will support my local hardware store fully. I have even called them up to offer reduced freight rates. Home Depot as well as Lowe’s has cost me a lot of time and money by not holding up to your freight contracts. I know this will not hurt you however, maybe the word gets out. The stores in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada. They have all had these same issues.

I regularly go to home depot over other hardware stores, they have a great selection of Milwaukee tools and other quality brands but most of all their return policy and mobile app is why I shop here. I've spent at least 15k in the last two months building a house and you generally have to return quite a few things, they make it pretty hassle free with their in store credit and you can automatically save all receipts if you link your card in the app. As far as their online shipping... it's very slow. if you need it asap and aren't too concerned with returning it I would shop elsewhere. You'll get it in half the time.

I normally do all my shopping at home Depot because it's what I'm just used to. Today I was forced to go to Lowe's because of poor service and electrical. Waiting for over 10 minutes for some mysterious person to come and cut wire, there were two of us waiting. I heard multiple calls for electrical over the intercom. No luck. Ended up going to Lowe's and to be honest I think customer service is much better. When I asked for the person cut wire they knew them by name and within a few minutes sometimes there to help out. Interestingly enough knows was much cheaper per foot so I think I'm going to pay more attention to shopping at Lowe's.

Every single price listed in this photo, from the top row, is wrong (didn't check the next row but I'm guessing those were wrong as well). I brought this up to an employee and they didn't want to do anything about it. Talked to service, ditto. Everything was 20% to 40% more than what was posted. This is my last trip to Home Depot. I'll stick with Ace Hardware or Lowe's from now on. That $5 extra I paid will cost Home Depot a significant amount each year.

Employees here are not helpful in the least. I was looking at paint supplies for an hour because I didn’t know which type of roller cover to buy in order to cover my walls with a deep knockdown texture. Instead of simply asking me if I needed help choosing which products I need, they called the police and said I was acting unusual because I had been looking at the paint supplies for too long! The truth of the matter is, I was reading on my phone, taking notes and then grabbing what I needed.I guess standing in their store looking at products is an unreasonable thing to do. Sure would have been nice if someone with painting expertise was available to help me decide what to buy.I will never return here, or any other Home Depot for the matter. Can’t believe this is how customers are treated!

Great store, well stocked, friendly employees. My only complaint is there are way too many dogs in this place. It’s ridiculous to be stepping over and around dogs constantly. Being sniffed, hearing them bark at each other. Unless it’s a legitimate service animal, they should be banned. Grow up - keep your pets at home.
