Animal Ark is perfect if you want to adopt a pet! The animals are well taken care of and quite friendly. There are so many different and diverse animals, and the employees will help you every step of the way. They need a raise for how kind and knowledgeable they are, they kinda make you feel stupid by how uneducated the population is on animals.I found two kittens, which were siblings, and played with them even though glass separated us :( they had fun and were play-fighting after that.After exploring a bit through the shop, I found a small sign that read, "Children left unattended will be sold as pets," I quickly realized why I heard high-pitched SCREAMS in the backrooms where the door said "Employees Only"... I am very concerned and advise that children should be accompanied by an adult so no one sells their souls. I also think that a certified law enforcement agent should interview the manager to put an end to this vile act. I might be traumatized...We came here to find a kindergarten classroom pet that would be easy to manage. We wanted it to be a bit small so it wouldn't take up too much room and not smelly. We decided on a bearded dragon and asked if it'd be a good fit. Apparently, the bearded dragons were babies and needed a 40-gallon tank. An experienced caretaker suggested a water animal. I saw some young axolotls and wanted to adopt one. The worker helped us find the right food, plants, and tank for it, as well as the cleaning supplies. We went on our way with a baby axolotl friend thanks to the wonderful people working at Animal Ark.Fave stars!

This place is great. Competitive pricing and better service and customer appreciation than the big box stores. The owner of this location is fabulous the stuff is all very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Plus they have such a fun variety of animals to choose from. We have a bearded dragon and their blue hornworms are the best ones in town

This place is top to bottom AMAZING! It’s very clean (the bathroom was immaculate), well kept, well stocked, well organized, and reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Just a wonderful experience! All the animals were beautiful and so many to choose from. We loved all the reptiles, I should have taken more pictures. If I had to critique something constructive I’d say they need a bigger store to spread everything out a bit more but other than that I have nothing but great things to say and will recommend this place to all my friends.

We stop by here almost every week for feeders and sometimes for something new! One of the cleanest pet stores and another plus is they don’t sell puppies! All animals are kept in perfect sized clean enclosures! We love Esther! There is a younger blonde girl that works there, shorter hair and maybe some facial piercings, she is one of my favorite employees! She’s always so kind, helpful and bubbly!

Went to get an axolotl. They had about 6 to choose from. They had everything to make a tank for it. Staff was super knowledgeable about them too. Prices seemed a little high but it was what it was. Thanks yall!

Absolutely adore this store. They have way better fish equipment and their livestock is always 100 times happier and higher quality than other big box chain stores. I'll sometimes stop here on the way back from work just to see what new fish they have and to talk to some of the workers. The environment is THAT wholesome. It's also the Only place I've seen locally with pea puffers in-stock. Have always wanted to start a pea puffer tank, but seeing them here gave me the final bit of motivation. They have such an awesome vareity of fish. The slightly higher price tags go towards a great cause.Such an awesome place! Will always come here for my pets needs.Thank you animal ark! Best pet store in the area.

This store is amazing! It’s really clean and well kept. The animals are doing well and they have some of the cleanest habitats I’ve seen for a pet store. Great variety. Employees seem happy to be there and it’s not understaffed (from what I can tell). We were looking at beardies so that’s what I have pictures of :)

Friendly and super helpful staff. The store is very clean, if a bit cramped, but then again they had a large variety of pets, food, toys, and enclosures. The animals are well cared for and (I saw for myself) Loved! That level of care = a better pet, but only always. Support this very deserving shop, and avoid the super corporate animal factories.

If you're looking to buy puppies and kittens, they don't have the biggest variety, but if you're more into herping and arachnids as well as other insects, it's certainly a great option. Don't get me wrong. They also have rodents like ferrets and hamsters and rats, as well as chinchillas. But that's about their furry selection of critters. They also have plenty of birds. I saw many inexpensive finches, slightly more expensive Canaries, and most expensive were parakeets and cockatiels. But anyway, mostly, they have reptiles like snakes, a few morphs of ball pythons, hognose snakes, kingsnakes and some morphs of corn snakes. Then they have geckos, bearded dragons, a frilled lizard, and a slow worm, or legless lizard. They also have others that I can't name off the top of my head but there's a pic below of the frilled dragon. Anywho, they have many tarantulas as well as slings you can raise. They also have cockroaches, tailless whip scorpions, Asian forest scorpions, as well as springtails and isopods for maintenance. They also have cool millipedes including rainbow millipedes and giant American millipedes. They also have plenty of fish, but mostly goldfish, and some turtles and frogs. They also have axolotls, a pink and the rest are brown. Pic below the brown axolotl. The pink one was hard to see. Pricing is normal service is good, and always around and happy to help. They have plenty of food for your pets and hides and lights and other necessities. They also have frozen mice and live crickets and mealworms for feeding. Anyway, that's sort of the selection they got. I hope I didn't miss it too much. Pics below as well with other animals I may not have mentioned. Yeah, I think this spot is worth a shot, especially if you're more into herping. Decent selection for a small corner shop.

I worked at the original Animal Ark in 1986 in Provo and still love going here and seeing the variety of all the animals. It's clean and well taken care of. Never a sick animal or dirty cages ever. Love this pet store!

He was very knowledgeable, kind, and talked me through all of my questions. I am super excited to come back and get all of my fish after my tank is fully set up. Thank you Ethan!

The manager there cheznie i think is so rude and condescending ruins the entire experience the pet store has. the pets seem very healthy and the rest of the staff are super friendly but cheznie runs it down completely

Great place to get what your pet. Especially fish and reptiles. Would love to see more options for organic material hides and dishes for snakes, but still some to choose from. They manage to keep it really clean and pretty odor-free.

Sometimes I get sent to pick up food or an item for my kids pets. I’m not an animalExpert. Just a dad. Animal Ark has always been helpful when I’ve had questions about animals, food, whatever. Prices are fair.Good pet shop.

We drove down from Salt Lake to look into a gecko or snake for my son. The moment we walked in everyone was very friendly, but I have to give a special shout out to Jess. She was so incredibly patient with my little guy, showed him all the different animals he was interested in and talked to him about each one. He wanted to leave to think about things but we were back 20 minutes later. Jess was on her way home but when she saw we were back she spent another hour with us getting us set up with our gecko and corn snake, made sure we had all the care information we needed. I really appreciated that they made so much effort to be sure we knew all the ins and outs of taking care of them before we went home. Our new friends are settled in nicely and my son is thrilled. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Animal Ark.

This place encouraged me too get some pets. It was depressing to see little kittens locked away but I was assured they get adopted fast. If you aren’t a pet person get a fish

I always enjoy going into this store. The stock are very helpful and if they don't know the answer they are willing to find out. I've purchased many things and animals from them and have always had great experiences. I would highly recommend this store over type of Big chain pet store.

We went into Animal Ark twice, once to window shop and then once to return and buy a corn snake. Both times we were helped by an amazing employee (whose name I’ve forgotten, but remembered it started with an A) who was extremely knowledgeable and kind when helping us. I love this store, I love the staff and the vibes, all the animals, but there is one thing I just have to bring up. It's been weighing on me for a long time and I have to say something. There is one person that works there that is just so horrible, I believe her name is Kenzie and she's either a shift lead or a manager. Every time I go in she acts like I just walked into her home unannounced and started rummaging through her fridge. She makes me feel so bad for being there, for asking questions or needing things or for just browsing the store. She's brusque and dismissive and snotty and if she's working I usually leave before interacting with anyone but today I really needed something and so I had to stay. I figured how bad could it be, should be a quick trip. But she made me feel like garbage for being there and when I asked her a question about the product she scoffed at me and shut me down. I would be more specific about the details of the interaction but I'm genuinely afraid that she will know it was me based on the details of the incident and then treat me even worse when I come in next time. I legitimately get queasy just thinking about having to interact with her. I work retail and I know how hard it can be to be social all the time or to have to switch gears at the drop of a hat. If this was a one time thing I wouldn't say anything. If it had happened only a handful of times I wouldn't bring it up. Everyone is entitled to rough days or moments and I don't expect a human being to be a perfectly friendly, chipper, talkative machine all the time. But this isn't an isolated incident it's about her general behavior towards staff and customers. And like I said, it's not just me. I've seen her be incredibly rude and dismissive to other members of the staff. I love this store but she makes me want to never go back every time I have to interact with her.

This is an amazing location for animals.I'm a reptile keeper and educator. I normally would never buy an animal from anything but a breeder but animal ark has shown great competence in animal care and I feel no reserves about buying from them.I purchased an animal you don't commonly see in the reptile trade these days from them and he is going strong.

This local pet store has been around longer than I can remember. I have gone to this location multiple times and it has always been such a pleasant experience. I am deathly afraid of spiders but I chose to take one on to overcome such fears. The employees were very well versed in the care of these animals and ensured the safety of myself and my family as we chose to take on this challenge. They also encouraged to bring our animal in if it ever needed personal care and we weren't comfortable with taking it on ourselves. They now recognize us each time we come in and ensure our experience with our new pet has been a pleasant one. Thank you for providing an over the top customer experience for me.
