Great small grocery store with in-store dining. Good buffet and good barbecue. All pork chicken and beef is from local farmers.

Barbecue is the best . Great food . It's pricy but them again the quality of meat and the food taste awesome. 3 meat meal is the way to go . I loved the size of rib .

Stopped in from Corpus because my friend Jessie frequents often. Arrived at 12:30 and there were a ton of vehicles in the lot. Parking though was not a problem. There’s a shady parking lot across the street. Walked in and it’s a walk back in time. Small and cozy atmosphere but definitely not lacking in options and items to purchase. They have an entire canned area of salsa and veggies. They also offer a home town cooking cafeteria style buffet. The employees were all so very nice and polite. A young man eagerly helped me find some tri-tip that he grabbed from the back area. When I asked about picanha the young man behind the counter said they didn’t have it but he could cut it for me. He asked a gentleman who looked like an owner or manager and he just shrugged disinterested in my request. The younger gentleman was all too eager to assist me and took off to the back to create my custom request. I grabbed $200 worth of goodies. They have plenty in their freezers and refrigerators but not too many options behind the counter. I will say that their prices are comparable to big size supermarkets and their meat is Choice grade. I will return again despite the drive. Next time I’m trying the fried catfish. 😉

We saw a video of Tuttle's on Texas Country Reporter and knew we had to stop there. We picked up some original jerky for my son and some for me....very very good, next visit i'll try some teriyaki and red pepper. My wife glommed onto some boudin egg rolls, they were amazing. They have a lot of meats and sausages, next time i'll bring my ice chest. We'll be back for more goodies.

Small cafeteria style buffet in a small town grocery store. The people are polite. The food is good. Reminds me of my homemade southern meals growing up. Today they had Swiss Steak. Which was great. They also had what I believe was chicken-baked potato casserole. All was good. Includes the salad and dessert bar. IF I had to be picky, the squash was over cooked IMO. I am weird though. I like my squash firm/crunchy. They also have tons of meat options. Picked up some boudin to cook at home. Tons of spices and canned goods.

Great spot to stop for some home cooking while on the road. The meatloaf was good as well as the fried pork chops , the sides were fresh and flavorful. Will remember this spot when driving by next time!

Picked up Thanksgiving lunch. Also, I got a prime rib. He weighed the prime rib and then cut some fat off. Did not weigh it again just put the price on the first time weighed. It is a good cut of meat. Haven't eaten dinner yet, but it looks good.

Bought some smoked sausage and summer sausage, and it is really good. The meat looked fresh at the market, and they have a variety to choose from.

It is almost like eating at home. Great and friendly place to have a nice breakfast or lunch. Don't forget to grab some choice cuts of meats!

Twice we have order brisket & sausage for birthday parties & it’s been amazing! So much meat! We also enjoy eating here for the lunch buffet! My favorites are Wednesday’s enchiladas & Saturday’s BBQ day!! Brisket stuffed baked potatoes are freaking awesome!

Cool place, we picked up hand cut pork chops and brisket burgers!! I just hope they will make jalapeño bacon. I would drive the 33 miles one way for that.

Everyone has cancer, otherwise lovely little country store. The tap water has so much arsenic diluted into that you almost can't even taste the mesothemia. Highly recommended by world renowned self help guru Dr. Kevorkian.

I almost wish I had something bad to say so people would stop coming! Everything is good. The meat market, the restaurant. It’s all good. The food is great but what really makes this place wonderful is the staff. There hasn’t been a day I have stopped in that the owner isn’t there working alongside his employees. They are so family oriented. Today when we arrived a young girl greeted us with a smile and a little paper menu (even though we 100% knew what we wanted and always do! 😂). We love to support small businesses, especially when they make you feel like family.

Great BBQ on Saturdays. The beef rib was melt in your mouth. Beautifully smoked. Brisket good too! They offer a choice of marbled or lean which I didnt realize when ordering or I would have asked for marbled. They also offer smoked pork steak which is unusual in addition to ribs and sausage. The sausage is likely wonderful as they make their own sausages and butcher shop is filled with a lot of varieties. Good sides. Great butcher counter with lots of homemade items like bacon wrapped quail legs and housemade sausage wrapped armadillo eggs filled with jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese. Staff were so nice and friendly and helpful. Made me feel welcome. Owner walked around greeting customers and chatting and asking if everything was good. They have a dining area and a full market with a full service butcher counter and meat cases where they stock lots of goodies. Check them out!

The employees were so friendly and had no problem helping us find what we needed. We got a pound of brisket (marble) and a pound of sausage...OMG!!! It was amazing. We even found a bunch of "snacks." Pickles, Okra, things like that. We are definitely going back!!!

Beat food in south Texas and extremely friendly people! It's a regular lunch spot for us! Tremendous meat market, too!3/14/23Had the 2 meat BBQ plate and the awesome godzilla huge baked potato today. They were both absolutely delicious! The only thing better than the food, is the super friendly people that work there. They really make you feel like family! I will be back!
