My wife and I really enjoyed this park. We happened to be here during the monthly Dutch oven cooking get together. This event was amazing. Great chefs and great food to sample. Nice hiking trails and lots of fishing spots.

Our family experienced the Piney Woods Christmas Lights Drive Thru last night. It was fabulous! From the park employees to the Camper/RV owners, everyone was in the Holiday spirit and so welcoming. We can't wait until next year. We even found a few Christmas gifts at the park store.

Such a fun outing. We rented a two man kayak and paddled the entire lake in under two hours. We saw many different birds, turtles, bluegill, and bass because the water was crystal clear. The rental was easy and straightforward. Well worth the money.

Great outdoor feeling, good hiking trails, just don't hike after a rainfall. Tent areas are good, stayed during week, was nice and quiet. Lots of shade trees. Outside park entrance is a small convenience store. They have tourist merchandise in their park store, kayaking/canoe/paddleboats. Warm welcome

Always a great time at Tyler State Park. The hiking trail around the lake is wonderful, though a bit overgrown in a couple of areas right now. There were a zillion people in the swimming area; no surprise on a 100°+ day. A continuous breeze made it quite pleasant in spite of the record temps. Lots of nice picnic & camping areas. A great place to spend a relaxing day.

I have camped and stayed in several campgrounds and state parks, this is one of the most well kept I have ever stayed at. Park rangers here are really helpful, no matter how busy they are, Beautiful and very relaxing place. Fishing is ok but a little challenging. Swimming is fantastic and hiking trails are truly amazing! Highly recommend this State Park to all who love nature and the camping experience!

Beautiful piney woods locale. Bathroom facilities were nice and clean. The hike around the lake was gorgeous. My husband really enjoys the bike trails. Park personnel could not have been more friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you are a regular park hopper invest in the annual Texas state park pass. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

So nice!! We parked by bathrooms. Went swimming. Tried fishing. No bites. But had a great time with family and friends. Cant wait to go again!!

Extremely well stocked. Prices fair how convenient it is. If you forget something while camping or just for the day they look to have it. Parks staff all very friendly and helpful.

A great place to go camping with or without a travel trailer the sites are clean nice swimming area two fishing docks, canoe rentals, cabins and wheelchair parking and access built in 1938 to check it out
