Always recommend Pet Veterinary Clinic when people ask for recommendations! We love our clinic! Dr. Shams and his team always work so well with our dog. He’s a big baby when it comes to his visits and they work so well with him, and try to make him feel at ease. We have gone for both regular checks and for other issues and have always been impressed with how they try least invasive measures first, and don’t try to up-sale to make it more expensive. They are reasonably priced and give quality care!

We had gotten Bronx (the one in the kennel with fur missing) he was covered in mange luckily it wasn’t contagious. They helped us get him to where he is now (second picture) now he is a happy and healthy boy! They are also wonderful to my toy aussie, Lucy. I highly recommend taking your fur babies to them!

Have never been so disappointed as I was today. Our dog Oakley has been seen by this vet twice for about a total of almost $600. Paid at time of service both times. I called to ask if we could bring him in Saturday because his ears are bothering him again. I explained my husband is a teacher and got paid again Monday and asked if we could wait until then to pay. Otherwise he would have to wait until next Saturday as Saturdays are the only days we can take him on. However, I didn't want him suffering. The vet refused to see him unless we paid same day. We have a zero balance and a debit card on file. Didn't matter to the vet who only cares about the money. Never will be back and wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

I brought my Great Dane Scooby to Dr. Shams after he developed complications from a splint placed on him by another vet who repaired a broken toe.Scooby had developed an infection in his leg that the previous vet missed/didn't address after repeated visits and Scooby was at risk of losing his leg.Dr. Shams and his wonderful staff spent a week treating Scooby on site and saved the leg. I will never use another vet.Dr. Shams displays a great amount of professionalism. His facility is clean and well organized. And his staff is filled with wonderful people who genuinely cared for my dog.I will recommend Pet Veterinary Clinic to anyone who has a pet they love.

I had a very sick cat and had never been to this clinic but I called and Dr. Shams said to bring him right in. I thought he had CHF but through xrays Dr. Shams discovered a blockage. Dr. Shams was very thorough and took his time explaining what was going on and how he was treating it. It took several days of xrays and a new medication regimen and now Rex is doing fantastic. Dr. Shams and his staff took great care of my baby and I trust them. THANK YOU!!

We had to say goodbye to a beloved cat. The doctor was very sympathetic and explained exactly how our pet we be put to sleep and we could hold her as long as we needed and then they would take her away for the final procedure. A more caring group of people would be hard to find.

THIS CLINIC IS EXCEPTIONAL! From the moment we got there, the entire staff was personable and cared about every detail! The assistants took incredible care of my baby and I felt completely at peace with anything they needed to do to her. Dr. Sham took the time to sit down, show, and educate me on my dogs x-rays and what he advised to do and why! They were beyond reasonable with prices and did not do any unnecessary add ons or tests in order to figure out what was wrong with my dog. I HIGHLY recommend this clinic for all of your pet needs! WOW!! Just WOW!! This Vet office is AMAZING!! Always so nice and the service is great!! Dr Shams is always very informative on what’s going on (I’ve gone twice for tummy issues for my little guy) and this last time has even asked me to call with daily updates! I have never had a vet that wanted updates (he has personally taken my call twice of the three times I’ve called). Plus, they’re open on Saturday’s!

I have never met a more kind and compassionate veterinarian than Dr. Shams. He saved the life of our beloved dog Marley. We brought her in almost lifeless. When we picked her up after her surgery she acted as though nothing ever happened. Dr. Shams is thorough and made sure we understood exactly what our options were/are and what he needed to do. He explained to us what to expect going forward and did not leave out any details. Time and time again when we bring one of our dogs in to see Dr. Shams he always makes sure we comfortable with what he is saying to us in regards to our pets health and what we should/should not do. There is no way we could repay him (other than the bill which we did in fact pay) for what he has done for us and Marley. We are so very grateful for him and his staff saving the life our our dog. Very happy I brought my cat here. Wasn't sure what was wrong, but I knew something was off. Dr. Shams pinpointed the problem in less than a minute. He quickly got her fixed with necessary treatment and medication and she is feeling much better. Very kind and professional staff, and I was able to take a tour of the facility. It is top notch, from equipment, tools, to layout of the building. It was very well thought out. The boarding areas are great. I was surprised to see that some of the dog bays even had televisions in them for the pooches who are comforted by TV. Go see for yourself, you'll be very happy with this clinic.

Dr. Shams is simply a fantastic, intelligent and caring Veterinarian. His staff is friendly and well trained, and the equipment in his lab and surgery center is the newest technology and state of the art. His office and exam rooms are clean, modern, well lit and put you and your pet at ease. We have a 10 year old Schnauzer, 3 year old Terrier and a 3 month old Golden Doodle, and Dr. Shams has taken excellent care of each of them in both routine and urgent care circumstances. We trust his judgment completely, and he takes the time to personally answer all of your questions. If you want to experience a “Lexus-level” of care for your animal, then I personally recommend that you visit Pet Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Shams, and experience it for yourself. The fact the Dr. Shams is open on Saturdays is a HUGE plus as well.

We boarded our two dogs here for a week while we went on vacation. Our babies were very well taken care of! While we were gone we had Dr. Shams repair one of our dogs cherry eye. He did a great job! She looks beautiful!! The dog suits are pretty swanky with TV's! Thier prices are very affordable and the staff is very friendly and professional! I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Shams and his staff have blown our family away with the care our dogs have received at his clinic. From the beginning, we felt comfortable in his office and confident with his treatment. Our dogs are very much family members and mean the world to us. Dr.Shams recognizes us immediately, has never rushed us, explains everything and patiently answers all of our questions. He has helped our 2 year old basset hound with leg, back, and stomach problems on multiple occasions as he is somewhat accident prone. Recently, our 12 year old Chiweenie was having stomach issues. He had previously performed surgery on her for a separate issue and had given me his personal cell phone number in case of an emergency. This was months later when her stomach issue came on and was getting a little worse. I decided to go ahead and text him fairly late on a weekend night for advice. While I hated to do that, he never once acted bothered and in fact told me not to hesitate in an emergency to text him. Unfortunately, her stomach issues escalated throughout the weekend and by Monday morning she was struggling to breathe and could barely lift her head. We rushed her to Dr. Shams, handed her over, didn't ask questions and trusted he would do everything he could. A couple of hours later, he called me to let me know they had discovered a heart condition that was basically agitated by a gastrointestinal issue and had her stable, a treatment plan in place and she was already improving. We were able to bring her home that night. Dr. Shams and his staff 100% saved her life. I really was bracing myself for the worst but as usual he knew exactly what treatment she needed. He genuinely cares about his patients and their people. He understands that we have multiple pets and makes an effort to keep their treatment and medications affordable and has given multiple discounts for being a returning patient. He has state of the art equipment at his fingertips and is able to do all xrays and bloodwork in office which helps to keep the costs down. His office is impeccably clean, he doesn't mind giving a tour of his facility and has a great groomer on staff as well. I believe he just has a love for animals and helping families and that is why he does it. Dr. Shams and every member of his staff are friendly, easy going, professional and caring and they all work very efficiently.

The people here are amazing! They are very nice and helpful. Honestly this is one of the best vets in Tyler. I came in with a cat in pretty bad shape and they worked with me to get my little buddy all fixed up and right as rain again. I cannot thank them enough for what they did to help me and the stray that found me. I send all my family and friends here! They are upfront about pricing and fair as well. 10/10 will visit again!

I love this vet, Dr Sham is quite knowledgeable. I always research my dogs problem so that I can talk intelligently when I get there and I love that he can tell me all about the pros and cons of what ever I have discovered. His fees are very doable as well. He and his staff are great!

Dr Shams is great! This is my first dog and in the beginning i called so much he started recognizing my voice. But, he always explained everything to me about what to expect and how my puppy would grow. After the first visit he even predicted his adult weight, which the breaded told me would be to t5 pounds. Dr Shams said 9.... he’s 2 and he weighs 9 LB’s. On another visit my mini schnauzer yelped for the first five minutes because he was afraid. Dr Shams just waited patiently. He held Leo and finally, Leo calmed down. Now when we go, Leo is happy to see him every time.
