This is the first time I’ve had authentic étouffée in East Texas. Perfectly seasoned and loaded with crawfish. The crab cakes were excellent and the catfish was fresh, tasty and crispy. We were greeted pleasantly and warmly. The atmosphere is calm, fun and the air is filled with zydeco music. This is the closest I’ve felt to being in a real Cajun restaurant Northwest of Beaumont. Insanely good!!!

Went to listen to hear the band, which unfortunately had to CANCEL last minute. Stayed. Enjoyed Amy, our Waitress/Bartender...drinks were fantastic...atmosphere was great...enjoyed feeding the Ducks at the Outdoor Pond...Fried Shrimp Dinner was amazing...will definitely be back!!!

I normally like my Gumbo a little thicker but it was so delicious I hardly noticed. I asked but have now forgotten my tenders name but she was excellent and attentive. I went many times when it was Brewster's and due to my Covid caution first time here as I really wanted to see Tuxedo Cats Tribute SRV. Those guys are so talented and It was excellent. Got there early and got whole end and corner of bar to myself so felt pretty safe. Check out some pics. The drummer sure seems to have a blast

I just found my new Cajun restaurant. Love the atmosphere and decor. The live music was the perfect volume. And prices were right. Going to be my new Friday night spot for a while.

It was pretty good nice catfish lunch special with good Cajun seasoning everything you ask for in fried food. Didn't see shrimp and grits on the menu till after I ordered so I will get that next time. Clean and well decorated environment with nice Cajun music and good service. The fries where very nice. I want to try a more complex meal next time but I just stopped in for lunch so the fried catfish lunch special was nice and affordable. Overall a good experience I would recommend and I will come back.... I want those shrimp and grits.

There was a long wait for our food. My catfish and salad were good. My husband's redbeans and rice with sausage came out cold. They did give some of our money back since the food came out cold. We do plan on coming back to try something different and hopefully the food will be better. Everyone was nice there.

You order at the front counter and pay right then. Be careful about tipping too much because you will have to fill your own drinks. You even have to get up to go get your own food order when they call your number. Someone may come by to offer you a refill, but mostly we have to get our own. With that being said, the food is always good and the atmosphere is cool. This has become a regular place we like to eat.

I went here for lunch on a Saturday. Even though it was during the noon hour, only one other table was occupied. The business is in an isolated, shopping center in Southeast Tyler. There are plenty of tables and ambiance to spare. The limited staff were friendly and helpful. The food was surprisingly good in the style of South Louisiana. I had fried fish and shrimp. The fish was fried in a finely grained corn meal and the shrimp in an egg batter . I thought both were excellent. They also have some dishes which are not fried. Shrimp and grits, boiled seafood and blackened fish, shrimp and chicken. Gumbo is also featured on the menu.I will go back!

Went this past Saturday and had the crab cake balls, boiled crawfish, beignets, and bread pudding. My thoughts: crab cake balls 5 stars, boiled crawfish 5 stars (I like them a little spicier, but they did provide me with some extra spice on the side,) beignets 4.5 stars(need a little more powedred sugar), bread pudding 4 stars...the bread portion was excellent, the sauce was decent. It would be perfect if it had a little sweetened condensed milk added for texture and sweetness. I will definitely be going back to try out some other options.

Don't understand why they expect a tip when it is a self serve. You place an order and then you get your own drink and pick up your order. Our order was not correct and the lady was rude when we told her. We ordered fried shrimp with okra, I had mashed potatoes and my husband had FF. We did not get our okra. They tried to give me new potatoes and him mashed potatoes instead of our okra. When we asked she said it would take a little bit to cook the okra and she would bring it to us. Never got it. Left a hour later. Will never go back.

My kind of people. Great food.7/27/22 Back again. We have been too busy lately to come in but the food and service were just as wonderful as always today! I always feel at home here. I have never liked tartar sauce and I love theirs!Parking: Plenty of parking and it is wheelchair accessible. I take a disabled friend with me every time I go.

Have been here twice and both times were great. Good Cajun food at reasonable prices. Love the atmosphere, live music was wonderful. Kind of has a Bass Pro feel with the decor, kids loved it. Went with my friend who was born and raised in Louisiana and he was impressed as well. They’ve only been open a few months, but I think it’s already one of the best Cajun food spots in East Texas.

This place was awesome 👌🏾. Visiting family this past weekend & my cousin suggested we go here & I was very pleased. The staff was was very nice. The owner even came out & introduced himself, he also went back 2 the kitchen 2 prepare some bread crumbs for my granddaughter to feed the ducks. She was so excited about feeding the ducks. Oh yes, the food & drinks were amazing.

Food was great. I had Chicken Breast with corn and green beans. My wife had the shrimp in a green salad. All was above average. The decorations are fantastic. Makes you feel like you are in Louisiana along with a live duck pond!

Nice atmosphere, including themed music. The boudin egg rolls were surprisingly good. The "tour of Louisiana" plate was tasty, with reasonable portions. The corn bread came out quite hard, but they happily replaced it with a fresher batch. The food was not quite as spicy as I expected it would be, but I'm certainly no expert on Cajun fare.In full disclosure: my niece waited on us. But, I don't think I'm being biased when I say she did a great job. I got to see her interact with some of the other customers, too, and she was knowledgeable about the menu and was casual and friendly, just like you would expect at a Cajun place.

The crawfish before 6pm were under $5 pound. Most were medium sized. They were very good. My wife had catfish and was very good.Live music started at 6pm. A man (don’t know his name) sang a variety of music from ‘70’s, some country. He never repeated a song. He played keyboard and had tracks as well. He was very good. The place was packed. People were dancing and having a great time.

OMG. This place is amazing. Probably the best seafood in town. Boudain egg rolls are to die for. Catfish is better than anywhere. The portions are huge! Two could share an entree and still have leftovers. Give this place a try. Location is a bit out of the traveled path but definitely worth the few extra minutes of travel. Britney was AWESOME!!!

Every online website says closes at either 9 or 10. Nothing was consistent! Arrived at the restaurant shortly after 8, open sign on! We were seated and then approached and told they could not serve us, kitchen was closed! This customer service is 100% not right and will never spend a penny there!!!

The frog legs and fried catfish were very good. However, we had crawfish and they were soft and over cooked. Also, when going to a place with Cajun in the name I would expect some 🔥 with them. Maybe some of the most bland I have ever had. Even the potatoes and corn had no Cajun flavor. Asked to speak to manager to give our input and saw hostess tell him, 30 min later passed us at least 6 times and never addressed us. I wanted no comps or anything free. Also ordered jack and coke and I am assuming they do not have coke so it came with something like RC Cola. At least warn when you order that it will not be what you ordered. Not sure worth another chance or not. Other places within 30 min drive that are better.

We were greeted by someone that was very short with us when we asked questions. My food was very spicy when it did not say anything about the fish being spicy And the service was not good at our table. But the service at the bar was good. This food and service was not a good experience.

Horrible customer service and the manager is rude. She continued to hang up in my face after I was trying to add ranch to the order. I ordered some fried oicklws and they tasted stale and were super salty. When I called to complain she said they were supposed to be salty because they are Cajun. I’ve had Cajun pickles before , these tasted stale. She admitted to being the one to hang up in my face. Customer service is horrible. Won’t be going back at all

Been to this place 4 times to see Don Hays. The entertainment has been really good but I can’t say the same about the food. The food/kitchen is inconsistent and last night was exceptionally bad. The bar in also inconsistent on the wine selections. They went from Kendall Jackson Chardonnay to a very bad box wine. The manager doesn’t pay attention to kitchen inventory or quality of the food. The way it’s managed will lead them out of business.

My first time trying this place and we ordered crawfish and it was very good. The only thing that not used to is having to pay separately for the corn and potatoes but it was worth it. Everything was very seasoned just the way I like it.

Just okay cajun food. Blackened catfish was very bland and needed salt. Beans and rice were okay. Chicken and sausage gumbo was mostly sausage and, although the base was a deep, brown color, flavor was disappointingly lacking. The accompanying cornbread was tasty and moist. The side salad was crisp and fresh, and the dressing tasted freshly made. The biggest disappointment was the lack of spices and cajun flavor.Be forewarned....
