Shady and dishonest. Went in for simple case fans. Prices marked on the shelf were doubled at the register. I was told that he "didn't have time to update the tags" despite the place being pretty much deserted every time I've been there. I opted for something cheaper but still ended up paying $20 for something (x2) I could have gotten at best buy for $9.95, even cheaper online. The price was not labeled this time so its my fault for trusting this place, a mistake I won't make again. Buyer beware.

I had bought a part for my PC here from this guy for 20 dollars. I didn't have the part a whole week and it quit working. So I called him and told him about it. I said I don't have the box anymore but I do have my receipt. I just want my money back. He said he wouldn't refund me because of that. I should of did my research before I went there. He already have alot of bad reviews!! I want never be going back. I told him that he acted like he didn't care anyway.

I'm not happy with my purchasing experience at the Tyler location at all.The clerk lied about the hardware on an item to make a sale and then charged me an 8% restocking fee when I brought it back that same day.I had specific requirements and was recommended an item that would fit my needs, but when I opened the box at home it didn't have the specific port I needed. Not having the curtsey to waive a $12 restocking fee is dishonest when the fault was made by the seller.That being said, the inventory is pretty good for a small shop in Tyler. The clerk is pushy and kind of rude to customers on the phone but it had everything I needed for a home computer. It's a shame that I won't be returning.

Wonderful place! My sister and I needed a CD made for our mom’s service, on very short notice. We tried three different places before being referred to CPU. They stayed open late in order to help us. We now have a beautiful CD with all of Mom’s favorite songs. Super kind people work here.

Murray and his team did a great job helping me find what I needed in the store! Highly recommend 5 stars all the way. Also, sometimes you will see his cute dog donut there. Be sure to bring doggy treats!!!

This is an amazing little place in Tyler for computer Geeks. They have computer components to custom build a system at really low prices.I'm having a little problem with one of the system's I bought from them. But, they're going to fix it, and when they do I'll come back and give them five stars.

I recently took my computer into CPU for a virus issue and they had my computer up and running in better condition than it had been for a long time. I was at first very hesitant of using this company because of the reviews I have seen but once I took it in I was told they are under new management and that they would have my computer up and running within a few business days. The guys that I spoke with there not only repaired my computer, but they were also very professional and took pride in serving me as their customer. Although I am knew to Tyler I highly recommend this place for anyone having issues with their PC!!

Customer service is good, the guys I have talked to have been knowledgeable or willing to find out. I understand that the main store is in Longview but can you guys carry more than 1 of every product. Prices tend to be higher than Best Buy or even online but a good place to grab something real quick.

The personal connection and pride you get from buying local trumps purchasing products online. The prices are on par if not better than most online retailers (including Amazon and newegg) and even on the stuff that's higher priced, you get it right then and there. No wait times. No shipping fees. From this moment forward I will be calling these people and seeing if they have what I want. If they don't, sure, online I go.. but if they do, you bet imma be driving my happy rear to this brick-n-mortar store and picking it up there. You guys have earned my business.

Love visiting CPU. They have pretty much any strange PC part you will need. Recently bought some cables from them, Sarah was very helpful pointing me in the right direction. It is nice to be able to come to a physical store to look at and buy components, especially when you don't have time to waste waiting for shipping from an online shop.

I concur with the bad reviews. I was advised this company was good with regards to fixing computers. My laptop crashed, so I brought it to them on 9/3/2014. While waiting for service when I brought my computer in, I heard one of their technicians advise a young man that was picking up his computer that had been there for two weeks, they would only charge him for parts. I thought to myself, well this appears to be a fair company. Little did I know, a month and a half later, I'm just getting a diagnosis of what the issue is with my computer, and this is only after numerous telephone calls, and leaving innumerable message to return my call regarding status. Finally, they tell me it is the mother board, and the price to purchase it. I found the part for $100 cheaper online. Got the part 2 - 3 days later, and bought it to them and was advised it would be ready the next day. I still gave them ample time and didn't come for 4 days. Called to advise I was coming to pick up my computer, they stated it still isn't finished, and that it's doing the same thing, and again the technician that is working on mine isn't in until 2pm. They also stated a lot of time he's called out on other repairs.I left my name and phone number again, and asked that he call me. I still have not heard from them yet - the only time I hear from there is when I call and if they answer the telephone. I will be reporting them to the BBB, Attorney General and any other reviewing/governing authority/entity that can be of assistance, in order for the public to know what horrible service this company offers. Let it be known, I still do not have my computer, and the quality of my work is being affected as a result.

Although their service is mediocre, they do have a nice selection of hard to find computer hardware. The bad part is most of their stock is either looks like it's been on the shelf for years or has been obviously used. Their prices are extremely high as well. If you absolutely need something today and don't mind spending a lot of extra cash than it might be a good place to look. Otherwise I would buy online before going here.

It's rare to see a generously stocked computer store these days much less interact with someone that knows where it all is in that store. Lots of everything for the emergency repair plus the legacy stuff that's not in yellowing or brittle packaging.

Very pleased with my business involving CPU. Lady that helped me was very knowledgeable, and knew exactly what I was looking for. Unlike Best Buy where the employees don't know anything. Will for sure be returning for my other PC needs.

Small business and best place in tyler to buy computer parts. The store in tyler has had a recent change in management that has helped greatly. There was a mistake once with boxing that the staff was really cool and helpful about replacing free of charge and apologetically. Good overall customer service

Bought a mobo and cpu from them. Had a certified person and good friend of mine from geek squad install the mobo and cpu into my case. Brought it home, and it wouldn't boot. It turns out that there were three bent pins in the cpu socket. They tried to place the blame on me. I find it hard to believe that those pins would bend so easily, especially on a 180 dollar mobo installed by a professional who happens to own the same board I bought. Anyway, after talking to the derpy girl who works there on the phone, I went up there and the manager told me I would have to by another mobo from them LOL. The receipts they give you are meaningless. Because they won't do jack squat about it. If you want my advice, order online.

this place is a rip off!I called there this morning and got a price of $29 per memory module for DDR3 1333mhz laptop memory. I asked paton to set 2 out for me and I'd be by later today. now I did look online and a set of 2 of these were cheaper (about $49 for 2) but I figure I m supporting local business and it s fast and convenient so what the heck.I drive over there about 1:30 and I m told they are $39 a piece. paton is at lunch and they say he must have looked at an old price list and there was a price increase this week.I don t mind paying a little extra ($10) but I m not going to get ripped off paying double what these are worth. to make matters worse there was NO BRAND NAME at all on the memory. Paton had said they were super talent which is no great brand but what they were actually selling had no name at all!This is not the way to do business and they have lost mine forever. I don t care how inconvenient it may be I will order online and wait.

Awful business. They have had my computer for over a week. They have not returned my phone calls and frequently don't even answer their phone. Once, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes without having even spoken to anyone.... I eventually hung up. Today when someone finally went to check on my computer, it turns out they haven't actually done anything. Then they tell me they can't find anything wrong with it. So... why wasn't I notified of this finding? Then they tell me they need my password to check further potential issues... so why wasn't I notified? Then they tell me to bring my computer monitor and cables (the ones I offered to leave with the computer when I dropped it off in the first place). Give me a break!!! This place is a joke. Don't trust a business with a misspelling of their name in the title!

ok where to begin ill start by saying that im a loyal customer that has spent over a thousand dollars here and have even referred customers that have spent thousands of dollars here I understand that your model is to make money and have people bring there computers in too make money but I called with a simple question that I didn't know the awnser too which would have been an easy awnser for anyone that knows a little about computer hard drives I installed a new hard drive and couldn't get anything to download to it and ended up figuring out later myself through long research that it was a simple as making a folder on the hard drive which would have been easiliy awnsered without me having to bring my computer up there and charged for labor and diagnostic I called wanting to talk to someone with a little computer knowledge and ended up get this rude new girl that works there that wouldn't give me a simple awnser im guessing because she knows nothing about computers or customer service and loyalty like I said I understand that the model is to make money but seeing how I was a loyal customer that spends thousands there that I could have just got a simple quick and easy awnser without having to take my computer up there and charged to just simply create a folder on the hard drive would have been taken care of on the phone without gouging me for money I know any of the old guys that worked there befor that I have delt with would have simply help me out but instead I was told that my only option was to bring my computer there and be charged to find out the problem which there was nothing wrong with the computer then I asked to speak to someone else then she went on to tell me that she is the only one that I can deal with or talk to after all this was just bs anyway just really disappointed in her customer service and the way she handled it just really disappointing to me as a loyal customer I just needed a little nudge in the right direction on such a simple situation and ended up having to deal with her and terrible customer service is just really disheartening for me it makes me not want to continue to be a customer of a place that I really like and enjoy never had so much problems trying to figure out a little information from my computer store that I solely use just beware of this girl her customer service is terrible her knowledge to help a customer was terrible

egh, I appreciate the fact that this store exists and I can buy hardware from here, however the prices really dont do the store justice, On many occassions after visiting the store I just bought the product on Newegg or amazon instead of paying a bit extra from CPU.

This place needs to be closed. Everytime I go to this place, they either don't have what I'm looking for, can't fix what I need or have to wait on the manager or owner or whoever to come from Longview to get anything done. I will not waste my time coming here again.
