I just boarded my three dogs for the first time since moving to Tyler and I am very pleased with Bark Avenue. They come home happy and healthy, so I know they are treated well there! Staff was also very accommodating when I needed to change my reservation last minute. Grooming is also fantastic!

If I can give 0 stars I would. I took my dog Bruno 3 days ago and he’s very traumatized from his visit and full of anxiety. He’s unable to walk and has been crying in pain due to being cut. He is uncomfortable and it breaks my heart seeing him that way. I feel horrible for even taking him to this place.

Excellent service in all areas. We have boarded our two Scotties, Sophie and Katarina at Bark Avenue. They have stayed for 15 days, 10 days, and other various intervals numerous times. The kennels are kept clean and have Air Conditioning and also have a large viewing door. My dogs love to play outside with the other dogs. They are always very happy when I drop them off and pick them up. When we pick them up, the dogs are always clean and odor free. Sean and Kathy do a fantastic job of caring for the dogs and treating them like their own fur babies. Bark Ave is the best boarding facility in the area. We will continue to use them to care for our two. Leaving them here gives us peace of mind when we travel.We also have our two Scotties groomed at Bark Ave. The dogs are simply beautiful after their grooming appointments.Thank you Bark Ave. Julie and Dave

Convenient. They don't groom cats, just a heads up lol●I didn't add that to my rating it was more of a comment since I overlooked that aspect .The rating is so for : the Customer Service I received, lack of communication, & It is also rated based on safety.I am sorry for Your own personal experience.... However I never feared for my life around a cat . And Bubbles, my cat, is very easy to bathe. I made sure to bathe her while young.& as a result she fairs well. There are places here in Tyler that do bathe cats, so there isn't a need to rate based on that. A "heads up" is simply a detail that could be overlooked, not criticism.

I've had to be out of town a lot this year & am so glad to have found Bark Avenue. I've boarded my dog here at least half a dozen times already and have had nothing but positive experiences here. The staff is great & spends a good deal of time interacting with & playing with the animals they board. My dog loves coming here, and they've definitely earned my trust with how well they take care of her. Thanks guys!!

This was my first visit to Bark Avenue for grooming and I could not be anymore pleased with their work than I am right now. They took care of details I failed to ask for also they were very helpful with deciding which cut would be best. My Zuchon looks great, his coat is easier to manage making walks more pleasant and less stressful. I will return.

Outstanding boarding facility, very clean and the staff is amazing. You could tell Sean and Mary definitely cared about the animals, their well being and safety. I loved the fact my Beau had plenty of room to play in his kennel (probably 3' x 6' area) with a glass door so that he could see the other dogs and staff. I took a couple of toys and one of my shirts along with his bed, all the items came back just as I had left them. They take them outside 4 times a day to get plenty of exercise and social time with the other dogs. Highly recommend!! Beau will definitely be going back to Bark Avenue!

We've been going here for months now. They are the best pet groomers in Tyler. The owners are very nice. They really take good care of our dogs. There place is very clean and not crowded. If we go out of town, they also do accept pet boarding. Your pets either can share a room or can be separate. As of now, they charge $25 per dog. So if you want your pets to have a very nice and comfy stay while you're away, I highly recommend Bark Avenue. They have reasonable prices.

We have been using Bark Ave. for over 7 years. They are excellent and have always treated our dog with respect and love. She would definitely let us know if she was not happy with the way she was being treated there, and she is always happy and anxious to go there. They do a great job, and we are blessed to have such caring people working on her. We love this place.

Arrogant and not customer friendly. I would like to relay my experience with Bark Avenue in Tyler. I brought my 4 month old German Shepherd to them for a few nights. When I was checking him in I was told how they thought German Shepherds were the most troublesome dogs that they kept. Fast forward a few days When I came to pick up my dog, as I was lead back to get him, the owner told me once again how poorly they thought of German Shepherds. Fair enough it is only an opinion. When I got my dog he was very different.He appeared to be scared and his usually robust attitude was subdued. We took him home for the next few hours he would only lay on the rug and not move. I noticed that he was limping. I looked him over and found a puncture wound on his left first knuckle, and a few days afterward found 3 more puncture wounds on his back left leg. This is the part that I almost could not believe. I went back up to Bark Avenue about a week later to just let them know the shape my dog was in. The gentleman who was working up front, who identified himself as the husband of the owner asked me what I needed. I told him that I was unhappy with how my dog had been taken care of while in their care. I did not ask for anything, I was simply wanting him, as a business owner to know what had happened.He got mad a me and told me "it pisses him off because I personally took care of the dog". He argued with me and was very rude to me and seemed offended that I told him my dog had been injured while in his care. He actually told me to not bring my dog back. What! His defensiveness convinced me that he knew there had been a problem and he had knowingly with-held that information from me hoping I would not notice my dog was injured. What a way to run a business. Attack a customer who was making a legitimate complaint and asking nothing more than to be heard. There was a point he could have salvaged me as a customer. Not Now!I can not in good conscience recommend that any one uses this business.

First time to have my dog groomed at Bark Avenue & I was more than pleased with the results! Upon arriving I was greeted by Wendy who took the time to listen to how I wanted my dog groomed. She took notes & had the groomer who would be doing the grooming to also join us to go over the instructions.When I picked up my dog, I was told if I got home & saw I was not happy with the cut to be sure & let them know for next time! But since moving to Tyler & trying other places I will be coming back here, even though it's not a convenient location for me, the service is worth it!Great service, friendly staff, professional groomers who know how to groom & listen to the customers! Thank you!

Updated: I suggest finding alternative boarding for your pet. I will speak with the owner about the several issues we had this last visit and will update you on how our complaint was handled by management.*******It's difficult to leave my baby with people I don't know. He has some special dietary requirements and training needs. He is more than 'just a dog' to me and I think they treated him with love as well. He got the opportunity to have supervised playtime with another dog who was also visiting. The kennels were clean and spacious. We will use their services again. It's like a hotel and spa for your fur baby. (Please give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful.)

We recently needed a kennel with virtually no advance notice due to an emergency surgery. During the hospital stay a winter storm like we've never seen before hit our area. Bark Avenue went above and beyond for us. They kept our dog longer than expected and kept in constant touch with us. We trust them completely. This place was referred by our veterinarian/boarding place. They were completely booked and gave me the number to Bark Ave. Pet Lodge. The staff here was exceptional and was able to get us in last minute.We felt at ease when we left our little dog and moving forward will be the first place we call for our little dog to call home while we are away. Wish we had more places like this and truly can't say enough how great Bark Avenue Pet Lodge is. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVE ❤️ Bark Avenue! We have been boarding our two little girls, Isabell and Elizabeth there for several months now. The staff are all so nice, helpful and always so excited to see our babies who are also just as excited to see each of them! The facility is beautiful and so clean! And the outdoor play area is perfect for getting fresh air, sunshine and excercise! We know our girls are being treated like family, just like one of their own and we never worry about them while they are in Bark Avenue's care! Boarded our dogs and a cat a few months ago and I was very surprised with them. Our dogs are a German Shepard mix and a black lab both about 100 pounds and I was very worried leaving, it was my first time boarding our animals. The staff was very friendly and walked us around the facility showed us the play are etc. When we picked up our dogs They were better behaved than when we dropped them off. Our cat however was a pain in the butt and peed in his crate/on himself before we dropped him off and refused to eat the whole time there. Which is in no way shape or form the staffs fault, they did everything the could to make our cat comfortable and he was not having it. I highly recommend them and will be using them again.
