I was more impressed with platos then I had been lead to think!! The prices are very affordable! They do not mark up to make more money. The racks are organized and staff knowledgeable about the store.

Love the clothes but the owner is rude, disgusting, evil, discriminating, judgeful, impolite and bad mannered. I wouldn't wish anyone an experience with this individual, not even my worst enemy. It's like dealing with the devil reincarnate. 😈 Lastly to say this individual (and I say individual because I DO NOT ASSUME WHAT OR WHO YOU ARE!!!!)is terrible at business management because they lost a customer that would spend close to $100 a week in there.

Unreal! I’m from out of state I traveled a half hour in a vehicle I borrowed from someone I showed up an hour before they close just to be told that they stop buying clothes two hours prior to closing the doors. It made no difference that they were completely dead as you can see in the picture. while the assistant manager who denied me may have been counting down a drawer in the office, the other associate was sweeping at best if he wasn’t otherwise texting. What a lovely welcome to the neighborhood. Some rules are meant to be bent especially if it means doing something kind for a customer.Small sidenote, I did not come in with that many things it wouldn’t have taken very long at all. I had about a dozen shirts on hangers, maybe another 10 fold it up and eight pairs of shoes, including a slick pair of Jordans.

5 stars for all the workers that were there Saturday night 12/23, extremely sweet. The 3 stars is for how old a lot of the clothing look for to much. Seen 2 pair of shoes from Walmart used for 30$ and 50$ when at Walmart new they are less than 20 lol cute though.

Walked in smiled at the guy working there, they had just opened ‘he acted like he didn’t want to be there’ and I asked the guy do they do 4 bag limit and he said they were doing only 30 items, due to the tax free weekend, so I said ok, went to my car and got 2 bags that had 13 items in them. I told him here was 13 items and started to go back to get more and he said ‘13’? I said yes, one bag had coats in them and he said ‘we aren’t taking coats at this time. You could tell he really didn’t want to go through the clothes and he didn’t bother to tell me that before I brought them in. I told him I will just go to Longview at that Plutos Closet and he said ‘good luck with that and have a blessed day’ just being a smart . Will never go back there. It’s a shame people act like that. I decided right then and there he was not going to give me anything for my clothes so I left. I even called a couple of days later to talk to the manager and I asked him if he worked that Saturday (Same guy) and he said yes all day and he said he was the general manger, so I just said Never mind I didn’t want to talk to him and hung up. Texarkana store needs to do better at hiring people that want to work.

Came here with my daughters and wife for back to school shopping. Although we did find some nice clothes for my picky girls the choice in music was atrocious! After hearing sexual acts being described I asked the young lady at the counter if she could change it or just turn it off.

honestly, this place used to be my favorite, but now, they barely ever have anything that’s cute AND reasonably priced. out of all the plato’s i’ve been to, this one is by far the worst. i also believe they need to be way more style inclusive and not just reject clothes because they aren’t particularly the cutest thing to whoever is doing the buys. you could bring in an entire bin of nice, clean, name-brand clothes and they will pick out one thing and deny the rest due to “style”. uptown cheapskate is the way to go.

The store is gross, music is bad, and there seems to never be an adult around. Although I understand the concept of working in a resale store, your workers shouldn’t look like one. Their should be some kind of dressed code. I’ve walked in a few times with girls wear short dresses/skirts and huts hanging out, extreme crop tops, and some looking like they just rolled out of bed. I see the workers seem to be more concerned with their Plato’s social media platform than with actual customer service. I also don’t like them telling them telling me “what’s wrong” with my clothes. Just hand me my clothes back and I’ll Sell them elsewhere. They say they don’t except “formal” wear but have a pant suit hanging up (11/24/22). I’ve been to other Plato’s closets and this is probably the worst.

My first visit made me want to go back again! This place is loaded with name brands! I also bought two items around 75% lower than their original prices! The only reason I am giving a 4, instead of 5, star review is because of their size inclusiveness. I did not have much luck since I wear a XL top, 15/16 in pants, and 10.5 in shoes.

I found them not to be customer friendly. I took my clothing in and can honestly tell that they shuffled the clothing and picked 2 items as a token of "oh we looked." Ohh... snobbery! That is the term.

I had a bag of clothes some new with tags and out of everything in the bag they only took two and paid me 7.40 know the price of some of the items are the higher end in very good shape I understand that it's resale shop but I know for a fact that other races bring clothes in and they will buy everything but my race (black) it's always something wrong with our clothes

Everything in this store was Goodwill donation quality, at best. Walmart and off-brand clothes with stains, holes and smelled of cigarette smoke. Worn out dirty shoes. Disgusting. Then, they refused to buy twice worn men’s denim shorts bought from American Eagle summer 2021. Sold them at another resale shop mins later. What a joke. Will never give them my business again. Def recommend Sassy Seconds or Uptown Cheapskate if you’re in the Texarkana area. Clean stores with nice, name brand clothes. The workers know their brands, worth & pay accordingly…unlike Plato’s dumpster of a store.

One of my favorite places to shop! I'm always in Plato's finding another gorgeous outfit. Their store is extremely organized and everything is easy to find, with great customer service. Staff is always friendly and full of great advice and compliments. Plato's closet is by far, one of the best places to shop new and trendy clothes, especially on a budget!

Hey I’m Dianna and I just want to say that my experience with Plato’s closet in Texarkana Texas has been wonderful!! I always feel welcomed and I bring in cloths and shoes and accessories every once in a while and when a friend tells me they have a interview I tell them hey why not shop at Plato’s closet they’ve got great stuff!! I would always recommend going there it’s always clean too!!

I for sure will NOT be back! I brought in nice stuff most haven’t even been worn name brand at that! 3 large bags…only accepted 7 items and gave me 37 bucks! I drove over a hour to come here because someone referred me to y’all. Y’all kept a few pairs of brand new with tags shoes even. RIP off and I don’t appreciate it!

Came in to sell some clothing to them I had over 3 boxes full they would only accept about 13 items due to most of my items being to fancy and then offered me very low. Their sales are supposed to be 1/3 the price brand new and then they give you 1/3 of that well I brought in a 40$ pair of areopostal shorts with the tag still on them and was told they would give me 1$ for them. 40 divided by 3 is 13.3333 then that decided by 3 is around 4.5 so how do you get 1 from that? Took my shorts back and all my fancy items. The prices there for used clothing is also pretty high in my opinion

I love Plato's! It's almost like thrift shopping but you can get name brand clothing and items. Selling clothes to them is super easy, and buying from them is super fun! I really just love their low prices for great items. I ALWAYS beg to go there whenever I'm in town!

I have gone there so many times,and it never disappoints! Their Instagram page is my favorite,it’s nice that they are very modern. The actual store is always pleasant-never any lines to wait in. The customer service is excellent! I’ve never had anyone rude or hateful. Plus the workers are so fab,I love asking them advice,and they’re happy to give it! I recommend

I absolutely love Platos closet because they have the friendliest staff and make me feel so comfortable in my own skin!! Being plus size I find it hard to feel comfortable in stores but they are all so welcoming and warm which I appreciate! I am also THRILLED about the extended size section they have added! I also love that they are so interactive on social media and do electronic holds on items! I have sold to platos multiple times and they ALWAYS have the best wait time and give a very reasonable amount of money back for the clothes I sell!

Plato’s Closet is awesome! Definitely the best resale shop, all the employees are so nice and the store is always clean and organized! Also, the Instagram account is super helpful and you can see what they get in really quickly and get them to hold it for you! I got my favorite Sperry boots that way😊
