Very disappointing that they don’t take credit cards. Yes, they offer an ATM but charges a big fee.The ‘waiter’ did not say a word when we walked in. No sign to tell us to seat ourselves or not. After 5 minutes we finally just sat down. The ‘waiter’ did not greet us or say one single word to us when he approached the table. Just stared at me. I finally told him our drink order. When he came back for our order, again zero words from him. We gave him our order & finally he spoke to clarify my 8 year old’s order. He spoke English. However, his order was incorrect when we finally got it.Very disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

They will get your order wrong, you have to talk to them in a slow, baby tone and tell them every little thing if you want them to get it right. They will most likely not add something you wanted just cause you didn't say it the way they need to hear it. Like today, parents ordered two hamburgers, my mom said the other hamburger the same, with everything, they didn't even add the fries to my mom's other order tho.

Pretty shocked by how great the food is here given the state of the place! We had a table full of people who really enjoyed their meal.That being said, if our family hadn’t made the choice, I would never have willingly walked into the restaurant. Inside is definitely clean, but it’s not a cozy place and essentially feels like you’re inside an old gas station.For me, there are so many small things that could be done to make this a more inviting place to strangers.All that being said, the staff was really friendly, and the food is diner food that I think most people would be happy with getting anywhere. Our table had enchiladas, French toast, fried chicken, pancakes, fried catfish, and more. It was a cheap, good meal that is probably a saving grace for the people of Tahoka.I’m not sure I’m at the recommend stage in this one yet, but there is a chance that could change some day!

Fantastic food I'm very curious why this place doesn't have better reviews maybe they've changed since the negative reviews because I have almost nothing bad to say about this place. The liver and onion and steak bites were amazing

Food was fast,hot and delicious. Service was excellent. Was attended well. Continually ask if anything was needed. It was very clean. Staff were always smiling. This happened prior to 12:00 p.m. Before leaving, Other customers began to enter. Price were very reasonable on what was on the menu. Plan to return here again. Parking area was very clean

It's a cozy, home-town diner. Thr kind if place you go where everybody knows your name (and maybe even your story 😋). Decent food at decent prices! Definitely try the $1 burgers if you're peckish. Home-style burgers are so delicious here! Definitely try the chicken or steak finger basket! You can't go wrong! Super affordable & family friendly.

Great family owned place! They have daily specials from Mexican to American (like enchiladas,tacos,nachos or sandwiches,burgers,salads&dinners) they have what you looking for! My personal favorite is the Club sandwich, my better half loves the Chicken Fried Steak dinner.

George’s Restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but despite the humble appearance the service is friendly and the food was good. They offer a wide selection of food from burgers to Tex-Mex. The salad I ordered to start was iceberg lettuce with cheese. Not fancy but healthier than fries. The bacon cheeseburger that followed was made fresh to order and really hit the spot. And it wasn’t swimming in grease like so many of the burger joints in Lubbock. I enjoyed my meal and thought the prices were reasonable. All in all a good experience.

This isn't just a place to eat, it's a gathering of families.Almost everyone that walked in was greeted by name. The very friendly waitress asked where we were from and what we like to eat!The menu is very diverse and I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted.The food was hot, fast and very affordable.

Very slow service although she really tried. The smoking section was overwhelming the entire dining area. Nobody told me that there is a separate area for nonsmokers and it didn't appear to be open anyway. The chips were bland, Salsa is store bought, enchilada sauce tastes more like mole sauce...... I got no straw for my water.... I left waitress a tip just because she was the only one working and was doing her best. I will never return

The last time I was here was several years ago with my Opa. I was happy to see that not much has changed in that time at all. It still smells the same, still looks the same, and the food is still just as quality. Quick service, friendly staff, and overall a great local place to grab a bite.

Service was awful.. It was not busy. But never checked on to see if we needed drinks refilled.. The waitress dropped off my salad as if it was a drive by drop off.. No smile.. Floor was filthy.. I will not return.. I love hole in the wall restaraunts.. But not this one.

Long-time family owned restaurant in Tahoka Texas. Had the 8oz cheese burger and fries. The burger was handmade and perfectly cooked well done but still juicy and tender. Prices are very reasonable. If you're driving through this area just south of Lubbock and want a burger, this is McDonald's price but fresh and certainly much better. Even for someone who likes McD's.

Ibought s grilled chicken sandwich and the bun was so soggy i had to throw it away. When i called to ask how it was cooked the gril was hateful and hung up on me. We eat there often but that may change.
