I had my last visit to Pates today. I went there to try and save having to drive an extra 30 miles to the Blue or Orange big box stores. However, the "premium" lumber I looked at today was pitiful. Big knots and bark showing on edges, warped twisted pieces. After looking through over 30, 8 foot 2 x 4s I was able to pick out three, and one 8 foot 2 x 2. All for $25 plus change. The stud grade 2 x 4s were worse. Stud grade was well shaped for ship building....ALL bent and twisted. This was my forth visit to Pates. I went there because I only needed 8, 2 x 4s but could not even find 8 pieces of decent lumber. I won't return.

This place was great I walked I walked in there with my semi knowledge and walked out with my incredible hulk knowledge. Adan really helped our Ministry with the water filtration system were installing at our new church in Munday.MY ROCK MINISTRY definitely recommends this family for our building material needs. Pates Hardware is helping with the opening of our church and home.
