The first time I went to this store, the sweet lady that is the owner was there. She was polite, nice and very friendly. She answered all my questions and gave me some advice regarding dog food. My wife came back to buy more food for our dogs, this time the owner a grumpy, rude old man (the owner) was there. His dog was out and crying because he couldn't get back inside the office of the store. My wife knocked several times on the office door because she though it was dangerous to leave their dog out. Road 71 has so much traffic that the dog could have been hit by a car! She opened the door and let the dog inside, as nobody came to the door, she let the dog in and closed the door again. When suddenly this man, got out of the office yelling at my wife in a very angry and rude way, telling her to get out of there! She was trying to explain to him, that the dog was out and crying by the door. He just kept yelling and swearing at her, as if she was a theft. She kept saying, I was just trying to help! Do not yell at me! I can't believe this store has so many good reviews when the owner can be so rude. Probably in the past he was nice, but me and my family are not coming back.This is an update:My wife was not confused she was concerned about your dog as highway 71 is dangerous, she knocked on the door several times and your dog was crying outside the door. I think you should not leave your dogs outside where your customers walk to your store. Clearly you are a rude man.

I always buy the alfalfa hay for my goats here as well as my chicken feed. Everyone is always super helpful! They have the items ready to go in my trunk before I even finish paying! Excellent customer service. Highly recommended :)

What a wonderful place! Their hog feed is amazing. I have 4 male pigs that are rather picky eaters. I've always gone to Callahans for feed but after getting a few spoiled bags i decided to try something new. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with farm animals! They are helpful welcoming and not judgy (I'm usually covered in mud and they treat me just as kindly as anyone else). Wonderful placeI hope more people discover this location and give it a try! Your piggies will be so happy guys!

Great place with friendly staff. If you got barn yard critters or things that need some feed, like deer, Go Local and support our community right here in Spicewood, Texas. These folks will take care of you and even load your product into your vehicle on the double.

Great place, decent selection, prices reflect level of service. Yes they're a little high priced, but look at what you get for a little more! I like the people here a lot and they're helpful and they get to know you, they remember your horse's, and baby goat's names and they recommend things you didn't think of and your things are loaded before you get back to your car. They'll even loan you things that they can!! Great people and I'll pay for incredible, small town, get to know you service! You can't put a price on the WONDERFUL way they treat their clients!! Visit this place, you'll be pleased you did, and so will Gnashville, Rover, Frankenstein, BitBit, Hustle, Fiona and Charming (fill in your own names! Lol)

I went there for the first time yesterday and from the moment I walked through the door I was promptly helped with everything I needed. Mr. Gary and Elijah (I hope I spelled his name correctly) are some of the friendliest helpful people your going to come across. I was looking to switch my dogs food and get some vaccines for them and they ended up giving me samples of some of the food I was looking at to try it before I committed to buying a big bag. Off that alone I’ll probably never shop anywhere else for my dog food as long as I’m in the area.

You can't go wrong at Palface. The owner, Gary, will make sure you do not leave unless you find what you came for. If he doesn't have it, he will have it shipped in overnight if possible. I've been going there for as long as I remember and have never left without getting what I came for. Gary sells everything from chicken feed to fertilizer. Have a fencing project, he has what you need.
