We love their burgers. The atmosphere was much nicer this visit as the lights were turned down. Lucky this evening as a band was playing. Great Blues! Brought some family and they loved the burgers as well! Chose to upgrade the patty - wagu/grainfed? I got the tuna this time for something lighter - very good. Huge wine list with amazing prices. Will be a regular visit.

This place is awesome. Definitely small town friendly feel. The Staff is friendly and helpful and the food is great. Love how they are involved in the community too.Wheelchair accessibility: Lip to get in the front and the bathrooms aren't the most wheelchair friendly but one is doable w some work.

From the excellent location to the extensive wine list, this restaurant is a gem in Smithville. The building is a historic downtown, red brick merchant space that has been decorated with eclectic taste. Local artisans have jewelry and art treasures for sale. The food is homemade, and they have a great music scene. Open mic on Thursdays! Very friendly staff and ownership. You can tell that they all enjoy their job and are proud of this venue. This is totally worth the trip. The wine selection really is impressive. Looking forward to visiting the Fat Cat Lounge and Café again soon.

We had a great time eating at Fat Cats! We were on a road trip and wanted to have an evening to relax just the two of us and this was a perfect choice. The staff was friendly, small town atmosphere. They joked with us and put up with all our questions and were helpful helping us decide what to order. The dishes are unique creations by the owner and everything we ate was delicious. We'll have to find another excuse to stop through Smithville again soon!PS we did spend a lot because the goofy very friendly server/GM was a very good salesman and convinced us to take an extra bottle of wine home. Worth it!

Pricy, but well worth it for both ambiance and food. Although husband was slightly surprised by the uniquely-seasoned lasgna, I was very satisfied with the cranberry chicken pecan bleu cheese salad. YUM. The cheesecake was excellent, too. Nice decor, friendly waitstaff, and the musician was very talented. Huge wine list. Massive.

Wow oh wow. If 3 words could describe our visit they would be those. Not your typical dining room setting in regards to the amazing wine selection and ambient lighting. Lori and Rachel were freaking amazing. The food while not an extensive menu which I appreciate was full and delicious. We will be back! There's a reason this place is highly acclaimed. Food was good. Service was okay. We had to ask for things (water, a beer) a few times before getting it. Unfortunately a few derogatory comments were made to our group from the waiter that made us uncomfortable. It definitely put a damper on a good night.

I really enjoyed last evening. Jeff Haney and Barney Sledge never disappoint. The wait staff were so attentive, and the dips and chips were different and tasty. The quality of music that I've seen is great,. We finally decided on draft beer, but if you are a into wines, their wine list is in pages, including all the details of every choice. I'll be going back often!
