Great place. Great people. Always working. Always offering a hand. Truly fits what first comes to mind hearing Huxley or Huxley bay. View is amazing both sunrise and sunset. The marina is blocked pretty much alway around from windy days. Crappie bite is top notch just outside the bay and even in the bay come the spawn.Rooms: Honestly I haven't seen the inside of any rooms. But from the pictures it's still niceNearby activities: Crappie fishing. Bass fishing. Just watch for sticks and stumps. Also I near by gas station. Trails end, I believe.Walkability: N/ANoteworthy details: Where the marina sits the overview of the boats in the slips. And the rock and algae, grass, The sun sits perfect either direction.

Best place to camp and stash your boat under covered, locked stalls.Rooms: Being remodeled.Nearby activities: Fishing, nature, gators, big bass and crappie.Safety: Campground with a lot of regulars, mostly older but a lot of kids around too. Host is always on site and area has lots of room to roam. Chiggars are BAD and snakes lurk, but the place is one of the finest "fish camps" I've been to over the past 60.Noteworthy details: Lake is a large reservoir and full of stumps just under the water. It's a dangerous lake at times and while the bays and bayous are calm, it may be whitecapping on the open water so heavily you can't get on it to go home. You're also basically idling anywhere you are in the marked river channel. Been fishing it for 20 years and I'll fish it for another 20 god willing!

This restaurant is definitely a diamond in the rough. When you first pull-up to the establishment the building is rustic with old charm. This follows in to the restaurant. There are two areas of seating, a front and back. The back area over looks a part of the lake which has a variety of wildlife to look at while dining.There is a small wait for your food, even when busy but well worth it. Everything is flavorful and delicious! The onion rings were a big hit. They were crispy and yummy. Battered and seasoned just right. My brother and sister-in-law had burgers that were juicy and taste bud pleasers. I had pancakes, eggs and bacon. Pancakes were fluffy and grilled golden. The eggs and bacon also were yummy.We were equally impressed with the chief Jessica and waitress Lily. They were pleasant and easy to talk to. Lily made sure we were well taken care of.Our whole dining experience was so nice. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great place to go, in deep east Texas. The restaurant has very good food. Be prepared to spend a little time, tho, it's not a fast food place. I go out of my way to go eat there and just relax and look at the bay for a bit. Easy access to Lake Toledo Bend too, just in case ya want to go fishing.

If your debating on coming here, don't debate anymore Because you will not regret coming. It's so worth it the time and money. It brings the kid out of you. Reminds you of the old days how Marina were. We love Huxley Bay it's our favorite get away time place. We love to bring our camper, boat. Fishing is good and the tubing is fun. The family loves it. Once your there, you don't want to leave. Also the food at the Marina is good. They do a wonderful keeping it up so it's there when we need to get a break and rest in life. Thank yall Huxley Bay Marina for a wonderful 4 days.! 🤗😁👍

Extra friendly folks, both workers and customers. Good food and service in a gorgeous setting on the lake. There's a shaded RV park next to the restaurant, for anyone looking to camp.

It has been 3 years since we have eaten there, we heard they had a new Chef so we give it another try. It was very good, the waitress was very polite and friendly, the chef came out and talked with us. If only they would remodel the motel.

Huxley Bay has new ownership and the owner has invested her funds in amenities which has greatly improved the character, presentation and atmosphere. On a sleepy Sunday morning I enjoyed a pancake breakfast, eggs and bacon all of which were cooked to perfection. Each of two pancakes were the size of a dinner plate! The next nearest restaurant is 30 miles away so Huxley Bay is a more than a welcome respite w quality food and friendly service.

Waited 2 hours for food.. 2 hours!! Waitress was rude! Food wasn't good at all , best friend ordered corn and it was cold , tasted like they dumped it out of a can! Husband got chicken fried steak and it was dry, mashed potatoes has no seasoning , burger was decent but had like an entire bottle of mustard on it! Took an hour for us to get our fried pickles, they were breaded with fish batter & tasted awful. Sweet tea was basically sugar water and cokes were all flat.. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this place.

This is the best place in Huxley to get a burger or anything else all their food is amazing and the service is awesome. Husband said their hand breaded onion rings are the best he has ever eaten.

Don’t waste your money here. Paid $60/night. Never saw anyone clean the room or even check on us. Trash outside our room was never emptied once during our 4 days here. Never got fresh towels bed made nothing. Should be $20/night for that kind of service. Boat ramps are sketchy at best. If you can avoid all the locals partying and swimming there. Main building is run down and looks like it’s mainly used for storage. It was also closed most of the time we were there. They don’t open until 8AM when they do open which is ridiculous for a marina on a major bass fishing lake.If I came to this area again which is highly unlikely I’ll stay up the road at “Trails End”. Even the employees working at the time we checked in recommended it.And good luck getting them to reply to email FB or even answer the phone.Not a way to run a business.

Nice place sweet people ... got away for the weekend to enjoy some fishing. Kids caught some crappie. Husband took them froggen ... it was a nice weekend... kids even got to swim at the boat dock. We stayed 2 nights at the motel on the water.

Not a very boat friendly boat ramp at this Marina. I had to almost submerge all 4 tires on my SUV before my boat would float off the trailer. There is no dock unless you drive the boat 100 yards away and then there are a bunch of people fishing off it, not to mention there were swimmers at the boat ramp. Most people were beaching their boats near the ramp, not me.

Always a good place to eat. Club Sandwich with Onion Rings. The meat in the Club is heated and the Onion Rings are made at the restaurant. They, also, have "all you can eat catfish" and boiled shrimp on Saturday evenings.

Huxley Bay Marina has been a great place for a quick fun filled relaxing weekend. Or Great Bass fishing in Toledo Bend then dock your boat and visit the Restaurant for great food, Anywhere from soul food to a deluxe steak Dinner or a layed back snack pizza. Great service, Clean and friendly. Newly remodeled but still has that warm family feel.

Great place to relax and grab a bite to eat. The burgers are fresh ground beef and juicy every time. If you’re looking for a place to stay wether it’s an rv spot or motel Huxley bay marina has plenty of space to accommodate you and your family. Rv Park is pet friendly. Fresh bait every week and a small store selection for those small snack cravings and your choice of drinks.
