Excellent find for lunch! Just a short drive off the 10 freeway. Service was very friendly, we sat outside at a picnic table. Chicken tenders, BLT, and bacon cheese burger was our lunch, served with waffle fries. All enjoyed their lunch and commented on the crispy bacon. We'd stop again if in the area. So much better option than a fast food joint or Subway!

A diamond in the rough! This delightful, small town, family-run café attached to a delightful little motel was WELL worth the short detour from I-10! This tiny, clean, well-kept establishment served-up friendly faces and conversations, pleasant atmosphere, and absolutely delicious food! We were not misguided by the other reviews, and we plan to pass through on our next trip through West Texas… I recommend you do the same! And you have to start with the chips and salsa!Kid-friendliness: Our kids played with their!

Fantastic! If you live here or are passing by, stop in. Friendly people and good food are hard to beat. Chips are hot, salsa is good. There is a saying, if it don't get all over the place, it don't belong in your face. The burger and brisket sandwich fit that, messy and delicious.

This little cafe was such a delight for us on a long driving trip from Long Beach, CA to Katy, TX. Cheryl and Madera couldn't have been kinder or more hospitable. 💗My grilled chicken sandwich with cheese was delicious! 😋 My friend ordered a BLT and tater tots. She said they were yummy, too. They served seasoned chips and some hot salsa while we waited for our food. 🤤We had two large, senior dogs traveling with us. Cheryl offered to let us bring them inside. That was such a nice treat, as the dogs were wanting a break from the car. So we brought them in and they hung out under the table while we ate.Madera's two young boys were hanging out with her while she was hard at work. They were both so darn sweet and well-behaved. They were fascinated with the dogs and super gentle with petting them.We never would've found The Tin Cup Cafe without GPS, but we were sure glad we did. The food was so good and the service was even better. I HIGHLY recommend making a stop here on your way through Sheffield, TX.

Absolutely fantastic burgers, fries, and tots! Bonus: the freshly fried chips and homemade salsa are exceptional too.If you're traveling between here and there in nowhere Texas, you may notice there aren't exactly an abundance of options when it comes to eateries. Fortunately, the Tin Cup Cafe in Sheffield is about the best road-side burger joint you could hope to find. The dining room is small and nothing fancy, but the folks working here were friendly as family and the burger I had (a green chile–topped cheeseburger called the Poncho Burger) was easily one of the best burgers to ever grace this face. The BLT my kid had (I stole a bite) was top notch on thick Texas toast and stacked with bacon. My buddy ordered the Patty Melt and (though he wouldn't share) he said it too was exemplary.Go out of your way and stop here for a spell. I reckon you won't regret it. Tin Cup Cafe will now be a permanent staple of any trip I make out to West Texas.Kid-friendliness: It's a small dining room, but I ate there with a couple of adults and two kids. Nothing especially kid friendly about the place, but it certainly felt fine having them there.

If you are ever in the area of Texas and Decide to find a place on the i-10 for eating Stop, share a chat and grab a meal. Best burger I've had in years and the hospitality is free. If you're military and you're transferring and happen to stop here, don't be shy and leave a gift for the owners to included in their soon to be put up "military get a discount " sign.I sure did.

We had a swell time with Cheryl and the crew at the Tin Cup…. The food was actually pretty good! The first challenge is to remember to exit I10 and come into Sheffield before reaching Fort Stockton. Also drop by Fort Lancaster and listen to Jefferson re the history. Dave

What an awesome experience. Cheryl, the owner, is the sweetest lady. We arrived 30 minutes before closing yet she never rushed us. She made us the best burgers (poncho) however the best was the ‘brisket burrito’. A cute restaurant with lot of charm. Chips n salsa were great and my son said his Texas toast grilled chicken sandwich was a 10/10! Blessings to Cheryl

It's not much to look at, and if you aren't paying attention you'll go right past it. Do yourself a favor and turn around, go back and find this place! We were driving through TX on our way to Alabama and had stayed the night in Ft. Stockton. Once we got on the road we started looking for a place to stop for lunch and this was about the only place nearby without backtracking. But the reviews looked good so we decided to give it a shot.We walked in wearing our masks, looking every bit the couple from California. The place was full (it's not really big inside, so full is a relative term) of guys who didn't look like that at all. They were all ranch hands or something similar. They were all wearing their work clothes & boots, while I was wearing shorts and flip-flops! Though in my defense, I was also driving an F-150. It reminded me of the Pace picante sauce commercials from the '90s ("NEW YORK CITY???....... get a rope") Because for a second the place fell silent when we walked in. But the patrons were all regulars and couldn't have been nicer or more fond of the place. The lady who owns the cafe, as well as the motel where it's located, couldn't have been more gracious and friendly (her name has completely escaped me). Her young daughter-in-law was actually the first person we ran into on our way in, and she couldn't have been nicer. The free chips and salsa were excellent. She told us she just gets the chips from Sam's Club and heats them up in some oil, but the salsa is fresh and handmade by her. And it was delicious. The burgers may be the best my wife and I ever ate. Mine was wrapped in a tortilla, just the way I like it, and I added some of the homemade salsa to it. The beef was fresh and full of flavor. The fries were thick and crispy. And the people couldn't have been nicer. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. You won't regret this stop.I don't have any pictures of any of it, unfortunately, so the couple I posted are just a few miles away. The proprietor was nice enough to give us an alternate route back to the freeway that took us over the bridge and through some nice rolling hills. I just thought the weed sign was funny.

I cannot say enough good things about this friendly helpful owner! If there is only one guardian angel in this world the owner there is it! We were traveling Eastbound on Highway 10 & east of Fort Stockton there's only one gas station for 100 Mi when we passed Fort Stockton and I had roughly 90 mi in range I didn't think it was a big deal because there looked to be 2 populated towns along Highway 10 before we would run out of gas. I was wrong there was only one Chevron gas station about 10 miles west of Sheffield Texas. As we pulled into Sheffield we had about 10 miles left in our tank. We realized that more than half the town was shut down, boarded up and all the gas stations were closed. The owner of Tin Cup Cafe made a couple of phone calls and found a close friend of hers who drove over, pumped 5 gallons of gasoline into our vehicle and didn't expect a thing. I bought him his next four dinners at the Tin Cup and then gave the owner a little bit of money and a small tip for making her phone call. Without her we would have been at the mercy of whatever tow service or road service we might have been able to find on the internet. After their kindness, we easily had enough gas to drive to Ozona for a fill up. I have never met a person for the first time in my life who was so willing to help!

Everything was fantastic! I've never had a smoked burger before, I highly recommend it had great flavor! Also this may be the first time I've had crinkle cut fries that we're perfectly crispy.

Best grilled cheese I’ve ever had. It was cheesy-goodness with the best amount of crisp to every bite.(Stumbled upon this hidden gem on a cross-country with my girlfriend and our dog. The mother and daughter there actually recommended CBD oil when we mentioned our 10-year-old weenie chihuahua (Wawa) gets seizures from time to time... It just so happened that at our very last stop on our journey, later on, our dog started having a seizure at the restaurant we were seated at. I ran to a smoke shop just down the plaza and got a bottle for our dog and when we gave her a couple drops she calmed down immediately. Her seizure just stopped. We simply can not express enough gratitude for their helpful suggestion - and Wawa says thank you too!)

The Tin Cup Cafe is a neat little place out in west Texas in the little town of sheffield. It is the first time my wife & I had BBQ hamburgers and they were great. The owners there were really friendly. A really great place in the middle of nowhere.
