Unfortunately this ended up being a sad visit. I had to put my dog down. The vet was very nice and understanding about my feelings. The vet tech was very compassionate. They took us to a room where we could spend as much time with my dog as we needed. My daughter told me when she checked us out that the receptionist was very empathic also.Unfortunately I don't remember the vets name and I didn't get the techs name. I would recommend him to anyone needing a vet. He was very knowledgeable.

Don’t waste your time. Had an appointment at 1:15 for my pets to get their rabies shot. Here we are over an hour later and no one has come out to look at our pets or give them their shots. We needed just rabies shots so I can see 30ish minutes for something that simple. I would give 0 stars but fortunately for this clinic Google only allows 1 star reviews.

I’m absolutely going to share how amazing this vet & her staff are with the animals & clients. They are always working over time, giving selfless hours & labor over the animals that come under their care. My pets have had their yearly shots, been spayed & one feline was saved after Dr. B. diagnosed her with the feline parvovirus. I think she is top notch!This is an animal hospital, with real people with real lives & feelings! I read the negative reviews which motivated me to leave mine! I TRUST and am thankful for Piney Woods Animal Clinic ❤️!

I cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are that we found Dr. Broers and the rest of the staff at Piney Woods Animal Clinic when we did. The amount of love and kindness Dr. Broers and Blake shared with our 12-year-old Boxer, Rosie, was absolutely incredible. This week, we had to make the difficult decision to help our precious Rosie cross the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Broers and Blake came to our house on Lake Cypress Springs and allowed Rosie to finally be free of the physical ailments that had slowly worsened over the last several months. The compassion that both these women provided to our Rosie in her final hour proved that angels do walk among us. Asa and I had been dreading the day we had to make this type of decision for any of our animals; however, we will be forever grateful for the support that Dr. Broers and Blake provided not only Rosie but ourselves as well. Despite the somberness of the situation, the fact that Rosie was blessed with such a peaceful passing surrounded by so much love as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge was the best possible outcome we could have wished for our little princess. If you are reading this and your fur baby holds a great amount of importance in your life, I can attest that Dr. Broers and her staff will provide the highest caliber of medical treatment as well as an immeasurable amount of kindness and compassion that your fur baby deserves. Hands down, Piney Woods Animal Clinic is the best facility for your fur baby’s needs in East Texas!

My corgi had an emergency and was treated with kindness and efficiency! Her after surgery care was exceptional! They helped with information over the phone at other times also. They are one of Very Few Veterinarian clinics to be open on SATURDAY & ITS A WALKIN on Saturday too!For loving care and expert Vets... I would recommend them to EVERYONE !

Dr. Bowers is one of the best vets I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She is knowledgeable and takes care of our dogs like they were her own. I am so happy to bring them to see her. Best change I have ever made for our pups.

We have a dog with diabetes. He started having seizures early on a Sunday morning. I called and she seen him immediately. She kept him for a couple of days to get his dosage corrected. When I picked him up he was happy and back to his old self. I highly recommend Piney Woods for all your animals.

Please be cautious of the attitude these people have.I called ahead of time to bring my pet in. The heavy set lady, said it’s okay for me to bring my pet in, at agreed time.The moment I checked in, that beast in scrubs rolled it’s eyes and gave me go to hell attitude.The soul purpose of that building and its humans inside is to help animals in need! Regardless of the day of the week or time of businessPlease don’t bring your animals here.

Please do not take your pet to Dr Broers!!!My dog was neutered by a partner vet of Dr Broers and was not acting right the following day. We brought him back in and Dr Broers did blood work, and after viewing the blood work, she told us our dog was just anemic and to take him home and he’d be fine. After a couple hours of him being at home, he started to seize and throw up (I’ll save you from the horrific details of all the horrible things that followed for over 15 mins as he slowly died) and we could not rush him in as he weighed over 200lbs and we could not lift him. He died in probably one of the most horrific ways possible. After showing the blood work Dr. Broers had viewed to not only our regular veterinarian, as well as my family members that are doctors, they all were able to see he was not anemic, he was bleeding internally and they all said there is no way based on his blood work Dr. Broers couldn’t have seen that. He was bleeding internally and instead of just admitting he had a botched neutering, she allowed us to take him home KNOWING he was going to die. We wish more than anything Dr Broers had just admitted right away that the neutering her partner vet had performed didn’t go as planned and they messed up so we could have done something to help him. Her partner vet later admitted to us that my dog had woken up in the middle of the surgery (we were never told this when we picked him up) and they must have not sewn him up correctly. He was extremely apologetic and I truly do not think he knew he had seen him up incorrectly. The difference is Dr Broers KNEW he was bleeding internally and sent us home anyway to cover. All she had to do was be honest with us. We would have paid whatever amount to save him. Or at least have had him put down in a peaceful and painless way. We never received an apology from Dr. Broers for covering up for the other vet and sending us home with our dog to die an excruciating way.Dr. Broers, I hope you someday understand and can acknowledge the pain you have caused my family, and that your actions allowed my dog who was so pure, and so loved, to go out of this world in the most horrific and painful way.

I could not speak more highly about this clinic. The kindness and compassion that they showed when we had to euthanize our long time family member was extraordinary. They even have a homey grieving room with an outside exit door so that you don't have to walk through the waiting room in tears. Their foresight made this painful experience just a little easier. Receptionist was excellent, very congenial and very helpful. Did not have occasion to meet the Veterinarian. There were many people with pets waiting on a Saturday morning. So this Veterinarian is open Saturday mornings!

We moved here from the Dallas area and I wanted to find a vet like the one we had that was as kind, knowledgeable and as considerate as they were. It took me FOUR vets to finally find this one and we LOVE her! She is amazing and my fur babies just love her. We have four dogs and one is very high anxiety dog with seizures that always has to go on nite nite juice just to get her nails clipped but Dr Broers suggested something different for her and it was the first time in her life she was able to get a simple thing as cutting her nails without being sedated. I cried! I was so happy. Her staff is also exceptional and kind. It takes a LOT to make me happy and I can say I am thrilled to use this vets office. I highly recommend them hands down! Also a it’s a beautiful new office that is welcoming and clean and so happily decorated! LOVE IT!

Big Shout Out to the after hours contact at the clinic. Came home after work to find my Jackie B (dog) looking like a Shar-pei with her swollen face. I called the clinic and got the after hours number....made the call and was greeted with a caring pleasant voice. We discussed possibilities and she gave me good actionable advice. We were thinking bee or wasp sting. All is headed in the right direction now. Sorry I didn't get a name to make this more personal but still very thankful to person on the other end of the line. I take my babies to the Piney Woods Clinic regularly and always receive excellent care. Happy to know that extends beyond office hours.
