$18 for a cornbread sandwich, fries and a drink.Bacon on the sandwich wasn’t crispy at all. Fries were supposed to be Curly and the ones I got came out so soggy I couldn’t eat them and I’m not a picky eater.Super convenient location for me and I get it’s just a convenient store restaurant, but it used to be good for the price. From what I’ve heard from other locals it seems like new ownership is letting things slip.

Walking in here made me wonder if I was in a public business or some kind of private club with the rude states I got (including from the staff - that was the only “greeting”). I’m a regular looking guy, so am really not sure what that was about. The place legit smelled bad so I didn’t want to stick around to taste the food and see if any of the staff that seemed upset by my presence would bother serving me.

I was travelling and was starving. I saw the restaurant and decided to stop for some local food. The atmosphere feels like walking into a crackhouse. But hey the food might be different ? The food was plain and greasy. Their burgers feels like a heart attack. I don't think they clean off the grill as it should. They cook everything on the grill without cleaning it well. The young lady that works there is rude and doesn't seem like she wants to be there. But what's the deal with the staring ? I hope it's because I'm attractive. But it felt uncomfortable.

The owner was hitting on me he said I had a nice butt when wearing women's clothes that day... I feel very comfortable here. I Will definitely be telling my LGBTQ friends to check this place out. Very welcoming to the LGBTQ community and that's hard to find here in Texas. Thanks for the awesome service. Maybe I can service you sir in my bed next..

Found this place while staying at the State Park and decided to get a quick dinner. The owners were very sweet and answered all of our questions we had about the area. The food wasn't the best but it was a unique little random stop in our travels.

Every time we come to Bob Sandlin, we ALWAYS stop at Fort Sherman Depot (Big Earl’s) for their food and minnows. We ALWAYS have great service and all staff have been super friendly. Last night, we stayed in one of their cabins and it was so cute and cozy. We even got here after they closed and they waited on us, to give us our key and welcome us in. I highly recommend this place!!

Worst place I’ve stopped. Stopped here on vacation, took almost 40min to order, another 40 to get the food, it was basically lukewarm at this point and I have to basically flag my waitress down every time I need a damn refill because they’re too busy talking to each other not working the dining room. Terrible service I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Came here for some good ol country cookin and got served a big ol plate of hate speech. I came here with my lovely wife and after hearing her be referred to as “babe” by me they told us they don’t serve dikes and to get into our Subaru and leave. We’ve never been spoken to like this.

Ate here and the food was good and the service was great. Don't know why there are so many 1 star reviews. Now that I read the one star reviews I am pretty sure none of those people have ever been here.

I visited this establishment this past Saturday. I entered and said, "Hello! How are y'all doing today", and no one replied. Both ladies sitting down plus the man in the back just stared at me the whole time. I went to pay for my water and the lady said that she'd need my signature, then slammed the pen down on the table, next to the 2020 Trump Dollar on the counter. I am not sure why I was treated that way, and why no one bothered to say hello back to me or even greet me. I tried to be nice, but was not met with the same niceness in return.

Passed by on my way to Texarkana. Unless you’re a regular, once you step foot inside, everyone stares at you like you have two heads. Not friendly or helpful. All the reviews of this place being horrible are true.
