Ms Jean Witt performed miracles with my Belgian Malinois at 8 months, untrained and a little wild. He was crazy getting out of truck and Ms Jean took him and calmed him down in less than a minute.First lesson, he fell in love with Ms Jean and will do anything she wants. Miss Jean was very nice and was willing to show me around before boarding my dog. My dog tend to do not so well when I board him but she has her kennel set up to where it is steel reinforced and also has a door that connects outside part of the Kennel so that dogs can also go into the out door portion of the kennel. Her kennels may not be the fanciest but It is the most safest and secured place here in East texas and she is very knowledgeable about dogs.

I first met Mrs. Jean Witt, owner of K-9 Country Inn, while attending a group dog training session (25-30+ years ago). I was very impressed with her vast knowledge, God-given talent and professional approach. Getting to know her and learning of the awards and credentials she’s earned over the years are proof of her abilities. Even though she could have retired a long time ago, she loves being around animals. It’s not just a “job” to her, it’s the life she loves.I have had many occasions to board dogs at her facility and have never been disappointed with the treatment and attention given to them while they were boarded-guests there. I once adopted a very aggressive GSD and she was able to control him from their very first meeting. My current dog loves to go to her facility and Somehow knows when we leave our driveway where are going!Mrs. Witt is a very personable lady with a compassionate heart for all God’s creatures, large or small. She has been more than capable and willing to work with us (and many other clients) in various ways; from crazy schedules, medical and dietary needs of the animal, personalized training sessions and more.Her facility offers different size (roomy) kennels for the comfort of the boarded pet. They have private access to inside and outside areas, as well as other large outside play areas.Give K-9 Country Inn a chance! We have been very happy repeat customers!J. McGrath

Just do yourself a favor and don't. I went cause of all the great reviews but I should've known first look to take my dog somewhere else. I decided to give the place a chance because I was going out of town and had No where else I could send my dog besides an Inn. But take my advice and go somewhere else. It is not worth it. It was so bad that I cried on my home after picking up my dog from there. There is a tarp for a door and it is even ripped. They lie and say there is air conditioning but one step in the place and it was a sauna. Not only is it sketchy but they tell you what you are doing wrong but they criticize everything you do for your dog. I am not one to write bad reviews and I hate saying bad things about people making a living but do not go here.

Mrs. Jean is wonderful!! My dogs were very comfortable staying there and I was very comfortable leaving them in her care. They were very well taken care of. I do recommend her place for anyone who is looking for a place to keep their fur babies when they are unable to take them along.

We boarded our large mixed breed puppy for 2 weeks. She had popped out her stitches from being spayed on the morning we had to leave on our trip. Jean offered to pick up our dog from the vet so we could get away on time. They took such good care of her. The second time we boarded her, she couldn't wait to get out of the car and go play with her friends! Wonderful and caring place!

We really enjoy using K9 Country Inn! She is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I appreciate how she always accommodates our travel plans so that we can drop off and pick up our dogs with ease.

Took my dogs here because of the great reviews, but will NEVER do so again. It basically looks like the area they kept my small dogs was an abandoned house with tarps for a wall where there used to be a garage door. If I hadn't been on my way out of town I would've never left them there. They never asked to see my dogs' shot records, so who knows what other dogs might have...also, when I got my dogs back after only two nights here, they were COVERED in fleas!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!When I picked up my dog the guy there had pink eye and I told him my sister dropped off my dog and he started describing what she was wearing. It was very weird needless to say. He went in the back to get her and all the dogs in front of me we’re starving! The few I got a chance to feed ate it so quick! And when I got my dog she’s a mini and barley eats, she ate a whole bowl of food and water in a few seconds! Worst place! Don’t risk it!

Jean Witt is the most competent dog trainer I've ever met. Her prices are very reasonable and her kennels are the biggest I've ever seen.Do NOT go anywhere else! Go here!
