My wife and I shot 2 deer last weekend. We brought it into Hess Meat Market for processing. When we dropped the 1st deer off Saturday morning the processor was extremely professional and the facility was very clean. He offered to show us the freezer and went over the order form with us.We dropped my wife’s deer off after hours on Sunday. The guy that handled pickup went over the order form with us but seemed unsure that it was done correctly he took down our number and said they would call us if there was any questions. There was a slight issue when my wife asked for Jerky slices on at least 10 lbs of her deer, it was put in as 10 lbs of jerky (made). This wasn’t addressed until pickup.The customer service we experienced when resolving this issue is what gets them a 5 star review. Jake Carter went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with our order. We will come back to Hess’s anytime we need animal processing.

I really liked this place. The staff was very understanding and never was irritated by my questions. James was extremely helpful and willing to show me first hand any thing I wanted to se. This was a very professional but still family friendly business. I definitely will be giving them my business and know that my meat will be handled with "Top Notch" care!!

This is a very fun and interesting meat market and grocery. We got their fajita pinwheels and their chicken bombs. The staff was very friendly and helpful, explaining the best ways to prepare them. They also have some great locally sourced fresh veggies. The tomatoes we git were a lot fresher than the tomatoes normally found in grocery stores.

So so disappointed with our pinwheels my husband picked up for our Anniversary. They could have been so good except the way way over seasoned & massive Salting. We couldn’t even enjoy our dinner. It was so Salty still trying to wash it down with water, it won’t go away. If I needed more salt I could’ve added more salt myself. Will not use them again!

I would give a negative if I could. They will not give you all of the meat you ask for. I got like 10 packs of soup bones. I asked them to save the gizerds ( heart, liver, and others). They didn't keep any of them. I was so disappointed. They are very expensive! They are very dishonest people who work here. They made my first experience with having a cow prossesed a bad experience. I don't recommend them. I have a theory they keep parts of your caw, and sale it in the store front. That my opinion. Good luck if you shoose them.

I had 2 deer processed. I asked for jalapeño and cheese summer sausage. I received regular summer sausage because the guy put j and c in the wrong place. The only other item requested was jerky.When I called to ask about it, they confirmed it was their mistake and offered me a $5.80 gift card, the difference in processing prices.58 lbs of summer sausage that is not how I requested. My total processing bill exceeded $950. So much for putting the customer first….Never again

Got a half a cow processed at Hess a few months back. Just got a whole cow recently and our rancher sent us to Pilot Point this time. The customer service at PP was terrible compared to Hess. Hess wrapped in Butcher paper, PP covered our beautiful grass fed grass FINISHED steer in thick awful plastic, demanded we pick up within 24 hours on a holiday weekend, just all around poor experience. Made me appreciate what a GOOD experience we had with Hess! Told our rancher we won't get more beef from them unless it's processed by Hess.

Absolute quality beef/meat. Caring ownership that takes the time to answer any questions you may have. Well managed business. Fair prices! Never disappointed with our purchases. Ribeyes with excellent marbling and flavor. Roasts always turn out perfect. Great advice on how to grill/cook. The seasonings they offer are top notch too. I can't buy meat at the grocery store anymore! Hess is the Bess (t)!

The Hess Meat Market in Muenster, TX has a great selection of steaks, chops, bacon, bacon wrapped things! We've also been to their new market in Valley View. Great steaks!

Got my second deer processed here. First was an axis, second was a red stag. I don't know what that other dude was talking about, they give you every bit of your animal. I loved everything from the first deer. They were easy to deal with over the phone and were polite when I picked up. Would definitely use again

Super small but friendly meat market. Didnt have much on display when we entered but maybe that was because they were closing in 30 minutes. They are a little higher priced than Fischer's market with almost the same offerings. We came to see Texas German specialties but other than smoked sausage and cheese's, they didnt have a lot to offer.

Me and my wife stopped by because we were coming from nokona glove factory from getting my son's glove tightened up. We had heard that they had the freshest meat around so we wanted to check it out! Tyler Hess and his sister were so nice and helpful. We ended up buying 2 rib-eye steaks some Oktoberfest sausage, and a few other things that added up to around $ 146.00 and some change. I waited to post until I tried their products ! I cooked the rib- eyes and the sausage and the jalapeno bacon stuffed steak. After eating this stuff I am a True customer and we live 1and a half hour away. Tyler I want to say thank you for your great hospitality and thank your sister !! I told you that you sold me on your hospitality but you didn't lie when you told me and my wife that your product was legit. The 2 hours with you was awesome and we will see you very Soon !!!!👍👍👍👍👍

i can only review finished processing, I've not had to go in with game to be able to adequately review their service.We were gifted wild game processed here and the smoked sausage was amazing, regular sausage dissappeared from the boys plates faster than i could heap it on, and the regular cuts were neat and trimmed beautifully. It had all been in a deep freeze for 6plus months but it was still perfect-so they definitely made sure this kill was properly handled and well processed. I am beyond pleased, and hope our hunter friend gifts us with more to make room in his freezer.

Had one of my deer processed here and it turned out fantastic!!! One week from drop off to pick up and it's probably the best meat I've ever had processed! The people there were super cool and very nice, take ur next deer/animal there and you won't regret it!

Hess's is the best. If you're a Yankee like me and crave Italian sausage, this is your place. They even stayed late on a Saturday and custom cut my portehouse steaks. It is fantastic to find a real butcher shop.

Our grass fed beef is processed here. They do a fair job. The cuts are well done (I've seen some truly horrible butchering done by other processors, not here) double wrapped and deep frozen. Just wish they would offer marrow bones for bone broth from the beeves but they usually resort to soup bones. We also get our pork processed here and gotta say the hams and sausages they turn out are totally thumbs up. Spicy breakfast sausage truly spicy and delicious. Brats and German sausage both smoked and uncooked are really a treat.

Be very careful with this place. They don't follow instructions and they steal you meat. Backstraps off of a bison and Orricks I was missing more than 50% of the meat.When confronted they just made excuses. There were even clear written Instructions on all receipts and they did not follow them. They are theives and stole the meat.
