The vet in our hometown was always not-so-good expirience and a bit expensive. Today we went to OutWest Vet and it as AWESOME! They allowed us to go in with our nervous cat, they were fast, efficient, but also very caring and gentle. And it was very affordable! Thanks so much!!

I took my two cats here recently. Their annual visit went well; the staff was friendly and got us into a room promptly. They handled the cats gently enough and got them through their annual shots quickly. One cat needed to return for a tooth extraction, and I was able to entrust him to them overnight too. That made it easy and convenient for me to get him care as someone who works full-time.His recovery has gone really well. They took one diseased tooth out, and they gave him antibiotics to make sure he didn’t get sick while it healed.I brought him home, and he has been so happy-go-lucky ever since the tooth extraction. I don’t think I knew how badly the poor thing needed it!So, thank you to this team, and if you’re new to the area and looking for a vet like I was, Out West Vet is a good option.

Amazing vet. Very nice establishment and very polite and helpful staff. Got our doberman's ears cropped here and they did an amazing job. We are newer to vets in west Texas but this is by far the best one we've found. You can tell they genuinely care about your fur babies! We plan on using them for our other fur baby as well. Wonderful vet services!

This veterinary clinic is the absolute best place to take your pets. They really care about you and your feelings, as well as giving the best care to your pets.I had to take my 3 year old cat to the emergency veterinary clinic in Odessa at 2am. I thought I was leaving him in good hands, but after a week and 3 days, my baby had his leg amputated and I finally got to pick him up after waiting 4 hours for him to get discharged (which only took 1-2 minutes), my baby got sent home with no pain medication and the very next morning, after spending 7-800 dollars, he had to be put down anyway due to his extreme pain and he was so messed up, he had a horrible time the first and only night I had him home. I took him immediately to OutWest Clinic and told them what had happened. They were so sympathetic, caring and so sorry for my cat and myself. I know for a fact that they love all animals and only want the best for them. They also don’t over charge you.Thank you to the vet& his staff for the wonderful work you all do..

Left my labs with them for a few days while we went out of town. When we brought them home one of my labs cowered in the corner at feeding time. He loves to eat and is all heart so this was extremely disturbing behavior. We spoke to the vet and he had no good answers. He said he would bring it up at his staff meeting. We have our labs with Sandhills Clinic now. It just goes to show that new isn't always better. The Armstrongs at Sandhills Clinic are wonderful and their prices are very reasonable. I'm happy to report that my lab is back to his happy and lovable self but it took well over a month and a lot of love. Don't know what happened at Out West Clinic and probably never will....

Vet is too BUSY or he thought we looked too poor to pay for treatment.Didn’t diagnose her.Made us feel stupid like nothing was wrong. My dog died of tick fever.Took her when she was in the acute phase.Said nothing was wrong.Got worse.Took her to Sandhills Vet.They ran test after test to make us feel at peace.Armstrong is SO GOOD at what he does.

I've brought two wild animals (a feral kitten and a wild bunny) in to their mobile office in Kermit and he was great with both. Very knowledgeable and gentle with the animals. Today, I brought it my daughters bunny and even though he wasn't quite sure at first what the issue was, he was quick to find out for us and took great care of our little Snowflake. I'm going to be switching all of our animals from Sandhills to Out West. I highly recommend them.

I would have recommended this vet with the highest rating. But now I’m sorry I have to say that I do not recommend him. Just with the arrogance alone I will not be going back. The experience that I have had with boarding and the lack of compassion when you have a problem or an issue with something they have done has sent me to another vet. My dog is not the nicest dog he will bite I assumed with being a border of the animals that having a dog that bites there are precautions in place but you are still able to care for him as he needs. The receptionist/vet tech was definitely a shining light in my time of need and I appreciate her but I still do not recommend this vet

I had to board my dog as an emergency. I tried to fly him to Alaska with me and wasn’t allowed due to the heat that day. The vet I had used for his health certificate was very dirty and said they didn’t have room to board him. they gave me the name of Out West who welcomed Jim with open arms. What a blessing they have been for me and Jim!He was there about 3 weeks and they didn’t mind me calling and checking on him often. He was well fed and happy when I picked him up.I changed his care to them after that. When he was one and it was time to be neutered, I took him there and he was so excited he jumped out of the truck and pulled for the doors 💗I thought being fixed there would deter his love for them. NOPE! Due to a medical emergency, he had to be boarded again while I was in the hospital with my husband. He once again dove out of the truck and was so excited to see Stephanie and Brandy. He ended up being there 6 weeks. I called often and they always expressed concern over what was going on with us and let me know he was happy and well loved in my absence. When I picked him up, they’d bathed him at no charge, he was thick and happy and the one thing I didn’t have to worry about during that scary time.My only regret is that I had a housesitter checking on my 3 kittens at home. I came home to one cat and two graves. I thought they’d be calmer and safer at home. If I’d have known, I’d have taken all four of my fur balls to be boarded. It would have cost 4X as much, but I’d have left 4 healthy animals and come home to just that! Also, as always when I picked him up, Brandy came out to say goodbye and loaded his things in the car and gave him extra loves. She said “see you next time Jimbo!” I told her I was taking him back home to Alaska for good and she got teary. I love that she loves my dog just as much as I do. I never worried one bit about him while he was there.Out West Vet is amazing!!!

The facility is clean and new. The staff was polite and nice. My only concern was the fact that they manhandled my dog. I told them she knows how to lay down, if they asked her. Nope. They just grab her and force her, causing her to become frightened. I asked to hold her and again, nope. They were rough and that was not necessary. The vet did hang around for a little while and discussed previous care. He seemed quite knowledgeable.

I brought in my Two year old English bulldog to get her nails clipped.. I told them prior that she has extreme anxiety with her nails and if she freaked out, we would use medicine to calm her and I’d clip them at home. The tech had her in the back for less than ten minutes and brought her back to me with signs she was overheating. I asked what was going on and Stephanie assured me that she was okay. I got her back home where she passed away not even 30 minutes later. When I notified them, the vet assured me it was a “freak accident” and that it was because she’s an English bulldog. Offered to cremate her for free - I guess to keep me hushed. I have so many videos of her running and playing - something definitely happened back there with the tech and I would not trust them with anymore animals!

His not Sandhills Vet that’s for sure! Armstrong runs every test imaginable and even keeps your dog over night if he finds it necessary based off of what you are saying. Josh to me seems to be just after money. Our poor dog will still not eat $350 and a shot later. She was throwing up dark red blood he acted like it was no big deal. Save your money and the heartache of watching your poor animal suffer and take them to Trey Armstrong in Monahans. Less money and he runs every test he can to get to the bottom of it. I will say Josh Vet Techs are great.

My first visit to Outwest veterinary services was an emergency to save my 4 month old German Shepherd puppy whose sister died from Parvo the day before. When we purchased the two puppies, we were told they had their shots, they lied. Akira died while my son was in chemo and the following day Jewel had the symptoms and I immediately called Outwest and they had her bring me in, tested her confirmed and said her chances weren’t good with parvo but I had total faith in them. The treatment with Jewel quarantined for the next 8 days. I called daily and she was improving and by then I really needed to see my puppy who wasn’t really eating much over very active and I was told I could come see her and I said she needed to see me and hear me. I was authorized to stand in the doorway so she could see and hear me. The vet was right behind me and so her perk up and bark and jumped around excited to see me. The vet saw her reaction. Looked at me and said I could take her home 😊❤️ She has done great and I owe them her life and my heart and my undying gratitude 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 And now I only take Jewel and my new puppy Jemma to them. Everyone I have met there are awesome..... I would give them a 10 star if I could 😊

Not from this area and needed to take my Shorty to a vet due to a problem with her mouth. I called this morning and had an appointment by 230. The office is new and very large. The staff was kind and affectionate toward Shorty even though she looks intimidating. The vet was courteous and took his time with her. I will bring her back.

On a road trip, we stopped at a reststop right out of Monahans, TX to air our three dogs: 2 Labs and a Yorkie. A rattler bit our sweet girl lab, Kricket. Using maps on my phone, I found the closest vet only ten miles away. On our way there, I called. The staff was ready and waiting to get her started on IV anti-inflammatories, antihistamines, antibiotics, antivenin, and pain meds. While they couldn't guarantee that she would live, the quickness with which we got her there and they treated her was on our side. Now, let me tell you about the office. It isn't some little podunk country office in the vet's garage or a junky old strip mall. We've seen our share of those. Oh, no! It is state of the art, clean, and beautiful with a lovely enclosed grassy area for overnight patients/guests. The staff and vet are competent, articulate, and friendly. Not only that, they didn't charge an arm and a leg to save our girl's life--or to give the other two rattlesnake immunizations . I'd say it's the best vet, staff, and office we've experienced in AZ, UT, WA, and now TX. I cannot say enough about this place. I sure wish they would move to our home town. Words cannot express my gratitude for all they did for us. Excellent people, absolutely excellent.

I called to ask if they can see me my German Shepard bc he was injured a couple of days ago and he doesn’t let us see the wound on his neck, also has a head tilt and a bad odor so both his ear and neck might be infected. At first, the secretary said yes and started getting my information but then after hearing someone in the background whispering to her, she put me on hold then came back on to tell me sorry we are fully booked and can not see him. Not very professional.

Took our little chuwawa in to clean teeth and when we got him back he had a broken jaw. Sent him home bleeding and crying and a lot of pain. Try to call to call vet no answer or call back. His tongue was hanging out couldn't move it. I called Odessa and midland took him in right away he had both jaws broke. 3.5 pound baby boy 12 yrs old. We are having a hard time to just go clean teeth. His brother is so sad crying knows something. Investigate your vets. No phone no sorry! He ate very good Frank water and then a trip to the vet. Dr. Swarb and his staff are very helpful and friendly. I love the fact that he has a mobile unit that he brings to Crane on Thursday. That's really helped us a lot when we had "emergency" situations with one of our dogs.

Vet was fast and knows what he's doing. Answers any questions. I bring both my pits there and they work with me getting them in away from any possible issues with other animals.

Very disappointed with the service here. The vet sent my dog home thin and bones with no concern to get to the root of the problem. Just a schedule a follow up appointment and see you next time. Thanks

I want to give them a 5 star but I feel that when they did my puppy's ears they should have given him antibiotics. Other than that they are great.
