Prices are high but the folks working there are really nice. Store has a lot of things I didn't expect. Worth stopping by especially in a pinch.

At 6:30pm on 7/12/23 I was treated to the worst customer service in Midlothian. Took the cashier about 40 seconds to stand up from a seated position in the bag bay. She kept calling her assistant instead of making herself useful. When the assistant didn't hear her, she took us but not before being real ugly about doing so. Had 7 foil pans WITH a label showing $1 which rang up as $1.25. when we showed the cashier that they rung up wrong, her response was they went up and it's not her problem. No apology, no nothing. It's been my experience that the price that's on the label was the price you pay. Not here. Judging by the bad reviews and lack of any response from a FD representative, my notion is they really don't care. Well I hope enough people see this and just stop coming here.

VERY poor customer service, especially to those who use coupons, we were told by another customer that a staff member (skinny blonde short hair female) told her to watch out for us because we looked like we were going to steal something, which wasn’t even the case. also there was a dark skin guy in front of me who decided to pay with a $100 bill and she bluntly said “why don’t you use your card.” People like that shouldn’t work in customer service. We didn’t even do anything rude to set her off like that.

This location was the nicest I've been to. The staff was friendly and the store was well stocked and clean. It wasn't busy at all in the afternoon which was nice. They have practically everything you need or want at good prices. Definitely stop by to see what you can save on!

Bobbie, Mildred, Tristan, and the new girl sorry forgot her name are always cheerful, helpful,and great Southern charm. But i will say Sandy i believe gets too personal and tends to be bossy towards Tristan and the new girl ALOT i mean if you are off the clock then leave they know what they are doing no need to keep repeating yourself and holding up the lines, plus comments toward what I'm buying is my business no need to put your 2© into it. It's my money coming into the store not yours. Again everyone else super nice love them like family.

I ran into Family dollar yesterday because I needed dog food and they had a special on the breeze wax melts. They had the coupon flyer under the wax melts but the employee would not honor the coupon because it was not on the app even though they were advertising for it. She said she just sticks stuff on the shelf doesn't know where it goes and thats me re wording that nicely. She had to throw a lot of cussing in that. They wouldn't honor it and i was already annoyed how unprofessional she was. To make it worse as i was standing in line to check out a HUGE cockroach ran across the floor.

Be careful if trying to make a quick run near closing time. Employees like to shut the store down before closing time.

This one is nice bigger than the Cedar Hill one and a little cleaner because of it's size I think. I used to work for the company so I typically shop here over dollar general.
