UPDATE Oct 2021. This visit was prompted by email offering discount with turning in old bird feeder. That was us. We had one broken which they replaced the plastic tube for no cost (nice) and we got an upgraded version of old one turned in. Sales staff informed and helpful with our needs and plans. Some shortages of items due to supplier shortages but not a problem on this visit. We were also advised of their bird feed discount program which could be worthwhile if one buys enough feed during year. Check it out. Feb 2021 FIRST VISIT: They got what you need to take care of the birds and foil the squirrel, rats, etc that want a free lunch. First visit to this location as we have shopped the one in Dallas several times but this one much closer. We came to buy a better pole and baffle to hang bird feeders and stop rats from eating food. Staff gave quick overview how to install to match instructions in box and on YouTube.

I love this store to find unique teacher gifts! I'm sure they are tired of BB&B lotion. lol Show your teacher some love and get them a whistling wine stopper or a cute hummingbird feeder here!

Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon. Service/staff were incredibly friendly & helpful and really know their birds! We had previously visited another location in the DFW area and were really disappointed - glad to find such a great store in McKinney.

Love birdies store.The bird seed is good. The birds actually eat all of it. not pushing it out of the way to make for the good seed, that drops to the ground wasted.All staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.Want to start birding? Don't know where to start? They will get you set up!They even have cute decorations there for sale.I have never regretted a purchase here.Definitely worth checking out.

I love Wild Birds Unlimited! This location is top notch. Every time I go, I walk in and am immediately greeted and helped. Everyone in the store seems very knowledgeable about all their products and knowledgeable about birds in general. They all seem to love birds and love their jobs, and it shows! I am a member and get the discount on food and the regular bird bucks, so I think the price works out to be quite reasonable, especially given the quality of their products. I don't see any reason to buy bird products anywhere else!

I came into this store today to get a gift for my father-in-law. I know absolutely nothing about local birds or bird watching, but that didn't matter at all. The staff were so kind and helpful. They looked up his account to see what he already owned and were able to make some wonderful suggestions for Christmas. I appreciated the great service and hospitality.

The best place for birdseed hands down! I can't believe how many varieties of birds I get in my backyard since I have been a customer here. Last year a special visitor to my yard was the Rose-breasted grosbeak. Thank you to Birdie and her team for always being so kind and helpful.

If you get a chance to shop during a weekday when they aren’t busy it really is a little sanctuary. So relaxing. Anytime you go you’ll find very helpful and knowledgeable staff and owner, Birdie. I’ve also found it a great place to get unexpected gifts for kids, teachers and friends. These gifts are always very well received! I go back as often as I can!

Highly recommend this delightful shop! Well stocked with everything we need for our backyard birds. When I visited early this year to purchase my first owl box,the well-informed staff provided answers to all my questions. We hung the box as instructed and were overjoyed when a pair of screech owls moved in. Thrilled to see three owlets emerge in May. Great gift selection, too. Their gift wrap is a perfect touch.

Great selection of wild bird food and feeders BUT they never seem to be open. We swung by this evening because their online hours were "till 7pm" but as soon as we pulled up they were closing early at 5..."temp hours". Since I work M-F it would be nice for them to be open later and on the weekends, but closed on Sundays. Again, great selection and I would prefer to shop local but at this point it's just easier to order on Amazon.

My favorite store for my backyard birds. I have learned so much from Birdie and my little garden friends are so happy with the large variety of seeds and bark butter available now. I really enjoy seeing all of the different birds that pass into my yard. Moving into a new construction area was so sad, but my garden has come to life now with all of the birds.

You will LOVE this place! I am not a big bird feeder myself - but my parents are, and I get alllll of their gifts from here! they LOVE everything I have bought for them and it is too easy! Birdie and Maria are just awesome. I know nothing, and they know everything, so I just go in and let them guide me. there is always a sale, and joining their rewards club is a great deal - I made my $ back on my first purchase. you want to get on their email list too, so you know what's on sale. they have a great inventory of feeders and bird food and gifts and bird baths! my mom wanted a bluebird house - which I had never heard of - and they had 4 choices in the store! from cheap to expensive. they have some NICE things in here if you know what you are doing. but, they also have easy & less expensive options if you just want to dabble. if you are a novice, they will guide you. the store is in the shopping center at Eldorado and Hardin - by Starbucks and Papa Murphy's and Hallmark. just go in, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Why had the birds 🐦 ignored the block of birdseed on one feeder and not the other hanging 18 inches away? After reviewing my past sales record, what I had bought and when, and possible causes, the owner gave me a new block (perhaps mine had become rancid) and the feeder washed and the new birdseed placed in the feeder. Customer friendly and knowledgeable service. Thank you.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff will make sure you have what you need to set up your own backyard birding station. You can choose to stay simple or go more elaborate. They have everything you may need, a variety of feeders, different food for different birds, books to help you identify birds, and even binoculars to bring the birds up close. I love this place!

Staff was incredibly helpful! They not only replaced the pins on my bird feeder at no cost but gave me a sample bag of bird seed to help attract a larger variety of birds to the feeder! I will return to this location for future purchases.

We had given up on attracting/feeding birds because their leftovers made great food options for the creek rats. That situation was less than desirable The staff at Wild Birds not only offered great info about our owl houses but told me about the Hot and Spicy bird seed that does not attract squirrels or rats. We are so happy to be feeding our feathered friends again. Take a minute and stop by this fabulous store situated between the Tom Thumb and Starbucks on Hardin/Eldorado.

The place to go if you're interested in our winged friends. They have many types of bird feeders, including hummingbird ones. They also carry a large variety of bird food, from big bags of seed to small pressed types. I'll go back when I want another feeder or seed! Highly recommend.

I LOVE, LOVE WBU in McKinney. The owner, Birdie along with her staff are all so sweet, friendly and so knowledgeable. Everything you want and need to make your backyard a bird sanctuary. Check it out.

Too busy trying to be mask enforcement, you CAN NOT enforce a law that is unconstitutional!!! The city of McKinney has even stated they are not enforcing it!!! The odd thing was I was trying to comply and putting my mask on entering the store. I would think that in a slow economy, especially for small business that the customer service would be at a all time high.Oh, well just take my business to a bigger box chain with a level of training in customer service.

They are one of my favorite places to visit in McKinney! Very helpful staff and such fun things to choose from...plus I can keep all of our birds happy and well fed. You need to check them out.
