So happy we found Hill's Country Store! We were looking for a fun place for breakfast and found it. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot and saw the sign advertising great food, to walking in and being greeted warmly by the owners, we knew we had come to the right place. Amazing food, reasonable prices and wonderful conversation; would highly recommend and would love to come back. A bit of a commute from Alaska, but what the heck, some things are worth it! Thanks everyone!

This restaurant is a little gem of a place to stop. We stopped for breakfast here and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was sensational. I ordered the two egg breakfast and everything was so delicious. The biscuits were absolutely the best. This is a definite must stop.

Traveling to see my brother and came across this great place. The people were so polite it really felt like it was one of our favorite spots back home. The food was fresh and so good. The prices were really cheap. Hopefully we can stop by again someday.

Food is good down home country cooking. Staff is friendly. I had an omelette my husband had Aunt B's Breakfast. Eggs, hash browns, bacon (or sausage) cheese piled on toast or biscuits smothered in gravy. HINT: if you eat smaller portions ask for a half order.

Came out for a catfish dinner, friendly service, and tasty homemade desserts to finish it off. We chose the mandarin cake. Now I will say at $4 a slice they could be bigger than an inch wide. All in all we shall return for more!

An absolutely amazing experience. Excellent service and prices. We got to meet the owner and shook his hands. These truckers from Kansas will be back. The smoked sausage was amazingly flavored and paired well with the home made sauce. Has parking for about 4 semis. Amazing down home hospitality and service. Will definitely be a stop everytime we come through.

Must Try- great food and even better people. Was my 2nd visit there and had the chicken fried steak sandwich this go around- it was amazing and the tater tots were perfectly crisp. Had a peach fried pie to wash it all down- simply awesomeness! Oh yeah- try the funnel fries and you won’t regret that decision. Great place with a down home country cookin vibe.

We saw the great reviews and drove off of 20 on our way to Dallas. A fifteen minute drive then a half hour wait for food. All the diners were locals and no one was friendly. My omelette was good and my husband said his biscuits and gravy were excellent. Wouldn’t waste my time again.

Hamburger was ok and funnel fries were great but they owners are sneaky about charging you card processing fees without telling you upfront. When confronted about it they said ‘everyone is doing it’. Incorrect. Most accept it as the cost of doing business (those fees have always been there after all). If they’re too much for you to pay, just put up a sign telling customers you are going to charge them. That’s literally ALL you have to do. Instead they assume people will be ok with it. Why not include your utility bill and rent together with it?! Ever thought that someone may want to pay cash to avoid that fee?! Instead of simply apologizing for their mistake they started arguing. Finally, they said: ‘Don’t come back!’ Wow! So much for southern hospitality. Greed and dishonesty is a bad mix. Hope you go out of business soon.

We made a quick trip to Henderson TX and wanted to grab some lunch on the way back home. We read the reviews on Hill's Country and decided to stop there for lunch. Every review that you read for this little piece of heaven in the middle of no where, is true. The most friendly people you will ever have serve you, so clean, and the food is all homemade. After reading a review that stated "I highly suggest the sourdough bun" we both decided on the cheeseburger on a sourdough bun with fries. It was great!!! We come to Jefferson a lot and this will be our "go to place" for breakfast or lunch. You will not be disappointed!!!

We stopped on the way back home. What a perfect welcome back to Texas! The chicken fried steak sandwich was a legit, fresh hand breaded steak cutlet. The onion rings were crispy and I highly recommend the sourdough bun. The hamburgers were huge and teenager approved. The staff was very friendly and is was well worth the stop.

We eat here about 3 or 4 times a month. I keep thinking that there's no way that EVERY one of their menu items are perfect EVERY time but they've proven me wrong EVERY visit! My favorite is their steak finger basket....and fried catfish dinner.... And slice bbq beef sandwich... And onion rings.... And cheeseburger... And sweet potato fries😍.... Just everything. A few more visits and I'll have tried everything on that menu. Their desserts are fabulous as well. You have to try it and you'll be hooked also. They are located between Jefferson and Marshall in a building I thought was a gas station for the longest until I actually paid attention and realized there were no gas pumps😂
