Selection is great for a small town. Usually a great place - some of the employees can be a bit… much…? Take their job too seriously? I get that they need to check receipts but when I’m the only person, carrying one $3 item, receipt in hand, and they just watched me come from the register, do they need to stare me down and demand (not ask) to see my receipt? I don’t get it. But, they’re doing their jobs. Still not a great customer service moment.

Customer Service is greatly lacking.. it's like they don't have any social skills to even greet a customer at the register. We go here once or twice a month and every so often there will be somebody with social skills.. sad but true.

Service was horrible. I went there to buy a computer, asked 5 times to have someone coke assist me in electronics no one ever showed up. Everyone was on their phone, or talking to another associate about their life.

It's an older Walmart, so it's a bit smaller and has a smaller selection. That said, everyone was very friendly.

Not all but most employees at checkout don't greet the customer or thank them for shopping at Walmart. They must realize I help pay their salaries. It doesn't hurt to smile and say thank you.

I read some of the positives reviews and most of them dealt with the cleanliness of the store. I totally agree. I actually enjoy going to the Marlin Walmart; however, I have never dealt with the automotive department. I always use a certain tire I get at Walmart. These tires, however, were out of stock but was told I could order them online. They were just regular tires that went on my travel trailer. The trailer was in Waco having some work done on it and I called a Walmart there and told them I had the tires I ordered from them and needed to have them mounted and put on my trailer. "No problem. $18 gets it all done, just bring it in when you're ready". I lived closer to Marlin and thought I would check there. I called, explained the same thing I did to the Waco store, and was told, once again, to bring it in, no appointment necessary. I called the same day I picked up my trailer and headed straight to Marlin. When I got there and told them why, they looked at me like I was from some alternate universe! First person said he would have to talk to someone else. Next young man came out and when I told him the story again, he said they couldn't do something like that. Seriously? Well, he said he would have to get the manager. Someone in authority came out and visited with the second individual and they looked and looked in my direction. I went up to meet him as he started heading my way and he told me the same thing. They didn't have the authority to do that. The man who did have the authority was at lunch and wouldn't be back until 2. I was there at 12:30. How long is his lunch? I asked him if I went in right then and purchased a set of tires for my truck would I have to wait for a supervisor to authorize installation on my truck? He just said he didn't have authority to do it. This was totally insane! Even thought it is a clean store and I have been happy with it in the past and did quite a bit of shopping there, I will not be back. I went out of my way, pulling a trailer, based on the word of someone who worked there and they say they aren't authorized to do it. There is incompetence, there is lazy, and then there is STUPID! I think this tells you which one I think it is.

Pros: The store is well organized. You can generally find all of your basic items quickly as the store design is compact. Friendly and helpful staff give the store a welcoming feel. Customer service is great. Pharmacy provides helpful service. Automotive department is efficient.Cons: Lacks variety. Options available are often the most popular and sell out quickly.

As a former WM Super Center Assistant Manager, my views at a WM store is distinguishable from others. It is obvious that this store is well run. Shelves are full, priced timely and clean. Floors and race-track are clear and free of trip hazards. End-caps are full and priced correctly. Registers flow nicely and are attended by friendly and courteous associates....added bonus, I have never waited more than 5 minutes in line.Recent remodeling has improved the asthetics of this location. Courteous and friendly pharmacy staff.

This is a regular Walmart, not a super Walmart like those from big cities may be more use to. That didn't make the selection suffer in any way. The 4 stars rather than 5 stars is due to the inevitability of any stationary price scanners.

There’s truck parking and no signs that say no overnight. Right off highway 6. BUT this isn’t a Walmart grocery store. It does have a few staple items but that’s about it. Not your restock Walmart. But Aaaayyyyeeee for the gravel lot truck parking!!!

Waited 30 min. at Customer Service Desk for a money order. He must be new. Had to get help and had to ring up one customers order several times to get it right. He was very nervous and was shaking when I was next. They need to train the new staff better.

Small town, small store, which makes for a more personalized shopping experience. You begin to get to know the staff, as they do you. The selection isn't all that great, because the store is so small. But, they just changed the entire layout of the inside of the store and it looks great! I have also noticed more products available!! But they make up for it with friendly, smiling faces and all the help you might need while there.

This is a pretty average Wal-Mart store that usually has all the basic necessities - everything from motor oil to toilet valves and garden hoses. However, their food selection is pretty limited - only a few aisles of snacks and drinks. Typically, I do all my grocery shopping at the HEB in town and then come to Walmart for automotive, lawn, electronics, appliances, etc.Unfortunately, the customer service can be hit-and-miss. During my most recent visit, I was told they wouldn't price match their own app for the exact same product. Instead, I placed the order through the app for in-store pickup and saved a few bucks.Overall, this place is good for the necessities, but I prefer not to shop here if I can help it.Edit (3/31/2022) - this store hasn't changed much. Most folks are still friendly, but I'm still pretty bothered by the fact they wouldn't price match their own app that one time. I called corporate to request they review their price match policy.

I was shocked at the jump in prices on some food items there ,two weeks ago I paid $2.14 for a bag of frozen french fries, then my next visit the price had increased to $2.98 , this increase seems unwarranted. This country produces enough potatoes to feed two earths, every year thousands of tons of unsold potatoes are wasted, plowed into the potato fields. 10 years ago a sudden jump in the price of tomatoes led to the permanent increase of product. It smacks of simple greed. Milk has gonè up 75 cents, eggs a $1.oo per doz, increase i understand but price gouging is criminal. I do not blame the store,l blame the monopoly the suppliers possess.

Walmart At Franklin Avenue. I have been a customer at this place for 8 years now. I love how they treat me most of the time. There was one white lady with blond shoulder length hair who was judgmental to me. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.
