Karen (owner) always takes such good care of my girl! We will only kennel here! My dog is on the bigger side, so she charges the same rate as other kennels in the area for her - totally fair price. (She’s a good dog but she’s 80 lbs, ha!) But if you have a little dog, she was charging a little less last time I checked!

My parents had been using them for years for dog boarding and grooming, but the kennel owner had recently give them a hassle over what food they were feeding. My parents trying to do what they were told is best for their dog switched to the food the kennel owner recommended. Although it is a somewhat decent food, the dogs would not eat it (and the food they originally had them on was not bad). I have been a vet tech for six years and know the difference between good and bad quality dog food. They dropped the dogs off for boarding with the a new food they decided to try out (anything to get the dogs to eat something and not be so picky since the dogs wouldn’t eat the new food) and the kennel owner decided not to feed them that food and to us feed them her food instead (and charge them for it without asking them!!!) She then proceeded to tell my parents (who have been nothing but nice to her) that the food they left for the dog (made her “want to throw up”). I was outraged to hear that someone said this to them. It’s disgusting to treat customers this way, especially ones that have been so nice and loyal!!My parents love their dogs and take VERY good care of them. They came home feeling guilty and heartbroken about their dogs when they shouldn’t feel that way! They now feed science diet (much better food than the kennel owner is feeding, and they EAT IT!) So frustrating!! All of this over some stupid dog food!

Our dogs did well at Home Away from Home Kennel. Our lab is scared of everyone, but they worked with her while we were gone and made friends. How sweet is that! They take good care of their animals.
