I have had 2 excellent experiences here recently. Both involving flat tires. Greg and staff were friendly, knowledgeable and expedient. They did a good job of managing expectations re: wait time and prices.

First experience was complicated and the young man was not very knowledgeable about anything. Talked to me like a was dumb broad. I made it clear I was not to be dismissed and stood on what I knew, which was my warranty covers ALL oil changes and they are a participating vendor. Finally honored my contract and oil was changed had to get a refund as the dude also charged my card on file, which was only on file because I booked an appointment online.2nd time: I tried to get my oil changed there again simply because it’s close to my kids school and was unsuccessful both times. Finally I just said forget it.

Bought tires from them back in 2020 and its about time for a new set. Called them up and they were able to tell me the mileage when I got the tire to know if it’s time for a new one! Great service will definitely use them again.

I recently had a less-than-pleasant experience at Pep Boys on Greenbriar Drive in Houston. Brought my car in for a leaking tire and tire rotation, but not only did they forget the rotation, the patching job on the tire seemed to make things worse. When I returned the next day for them to fix it, I was met with a dismissive attitude, being told they were too busy and to get back in line. Greg at the front desk showed zero concern for customer satisfaction, making me question the integrity of this location.

If I could give a 0 I would. I went in for a simple oil change on 1/18/24 around 3pm to 5pm and was shorted on my oil. Took a look at it after I left and noticed they filled it to the low point. Not only that. They took all my quarters out of my vehicle. I intentionally left lots of change to see if they could be trusted for my first time there and I come back to my car with only 2 nickels and a dime…. This is a shame. Why would you want to lose your job over change. Was treated as a number not a customer. This is wrong and should be addressed/corrected amongst the thieves. Really should be fired. Where’s their head at. Definitely not going to pep boys anymore.

While the team was helpful in installing new tires for my car, they made a horrid mistake in installing the tires inside out.Meaning, the tire has a label on it saying "inside" and it was placed on the exterior part of the car, and vice versa. While on my roadtrip, 2 bubbles formed on 2 of the tires and a separate mechanic noticed this negligent error and I had to replace all 4 tires to be on the safe side.I understand mechanics can be exhausted, but this error had a high price tag due to their negligence.

The Service Advisor was very cordial and accomodating. Just disappointed over the fact I made an appointment online and selected the specific location based on the fact they had a posted appointment day / time that worked with my plans for the day yet they don't take appointments on Sundays.

I'll be going back. They found no problem underlying my concern (noises in back), and didn't charge me. I was satisfied with the explanation, and learned some more about my car.The only drawback (else I'd give 5 stars) was having an 11am appointment set up ahead, and seeing my car wait 1hr to be looked at. Lesson: plan ahead for delay on a Saturday.

They do good work. I had made an on line appointment for 9:30, but was not seen until 10:15, and there were several customers ahead of me. The battery I needed was to arrive in 45 minutes, which soon became 90 minutes.

Went to Greenbrair location for alignment. Good customer service but not good work. When I left truck still seemed off and steering was not straight. Went to different location and they stated the work was not done properly. Will not fo to this location again

ONE THE WORST CAR SERVICE EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE!!! Took my car in to have the radiator, fan and thermostat replaced. After this work was done, my hood latch was stuck and wouldn't open. They totally denied any wrongdoing (despite having worked directly in that area) I had to bring my car back to them three times to get that hood open. A week later, the car began overheating. Turned out that they never put any coolant in it. When I brought it back again, they denied this too. Then claim they were going to get to the bottom of the problem and test drive it. Not once did they ever call me to tell me any work was done during any of these instances, I had to keep pestering them and calling them and staying on top of them because they are so poor with their communication. They never once test drove it, my odometer showed the same reading when I picked it up after they claimed they test drove it and couldn't get it to overheat. They knew they made a total mistake repairing my coolant system but they were trying to deny that along with the hood damage. They kept telling me that the head gasket needed to be replaced. but it turned out that was a lie I had it checked out at another mechanic and it was just fine. I went ahead and checked to see if they replaced the thermostat and this is what I found (see pics) The gasket was improperly installed by this pep boys and causing excessive leakage into the engine block. If you bring your car to these people, the vehicle will leave in worse condition than it was when you brought it. Be warned, one of the worst car service experiences of my life!

Caution for Potential Women Customers:I recently had a disturbing experience at this auto repair shop when I brought my car in for repairs. I had initially requested work on the starter and valve cover gaskets, and I also decided to have the radiator replaced due to a previous leak. However, when I arrived to pick up my car, I was shocked to find that my old radiator was still in place. The typical woman would jump in their car and drive off but I am not your typical woman.I opened to hood and my old radiator said Hi I'm still here! I left the car at the shop, insisting that they replace the radiator as originally agreed, and I requested to keep the old radiator as proof.The manager, Greg, called me to insist they had already replaced the radiator and that it was just a dusty cover I had observed. Ok Ladies I WAS BORN DURING THE DAY BUT NOT YESTERDAY!I informed him that I would return with someone knowledgeable about cars to verify the work.Surprisingly, when I returned with my knowledgeable companion, the radiator had been replaced as originally agreed. It was frustrating that it took such insistence to have work done that I already paid for.My concerns didn't end there. After the repair, I encountered new issues that I didn't have before, which I suspect may have been caused during their work. Additionally, my car continued to leak oil, a problem they were supposed to fix.To make matters worse, I discovered that the staff had been unnecessarily rummaging through the interior of my car, even disassembling the back seat OF MY SUV, exposing the tire jack. This intrusion into my vehicle was entirely unjustified and unprofessional.In summary, my experience at this shop was deeply unsatisfactory. I feel it's important for all potential customers, regardless of gender, to exercise caution and consider bringing someone knowledgeable about cars when seeking services here to ensure the work is done correctly and that their vehicle's integrity is respected. The level of unprofessionalism, especially from the manager, Greg, was deeply disappointing.Greg the manager is unscrupulous, and feel confident in taking advantage of what he considers unsuspecting women. Don't listen to anything he tells you because every word out of his mouth is a lie. If you choose to take a chance BUYER BEWARE!

People beware...I was charged for service/parts not rendered on August 23, 2022. I took my vehicle to Pep Boys on 4141 Greenbriar, Houston Tx 77098 after trying to get my inspection done, but it did not pass because of the worn tires. I was told I needed all 4 tires changed. After a lengthy process, Pep Boys claimed all 4 tires were new, balanced, and aligned. I, and a friend, noticed a thick white substance on the two front tires. I brought this to the attention of the gentleman, Carroll, that had taken care of my order. He stated that it would wash off in the car wash. Oscar, also present, heard my concern. Why would they return my car in worse condition than it was delivered in?After taking to Kwik Car in Pearland today, August 27, 2022, to ask about the inspection, the inspector on duty said it would not pass because of WORN BACK TIRES. My suspicion leads me to believe that I was scammed by someone in the company that thought as a woman I would not notice. So, either my new tires were stolen and sold elsewhere after I paid $599.98 plus tax for them, or they are sitting in inventory ready to sell to another unsuspecting customer. Either way, this was not just an oversight. It took three hours and $1600 to go pick up 4 tires to "replace" all four, yet only two were replaced. It is clear that this was a very unprofessional job by the extremely dirty (white substance) "new" tires and the contents of my glove box was left scattered on my passenger floorboard of my vehicle. What were they searching for? I am requesting l a refund for non-receipt of parts and a replacement of my back tires that match the front tires at the expense of Pep Boys for the inconvenience. My car needs to pass inspection before August 31, 2022 before the expiration.I lodged a complaint and attached pictures of the worn tires still on my vehicle and the new ones to compare to, the statement from the inspector, and the receipt for this transaction.Buyer beware.

DO NOT GO HERE. I had the same experience happen to me twice. Scheduled appointments online and got told they couldn’t assist me when I showed up. Waste of gas and time. I’d rather spend the extra money and go to a reliable place.

Did not recognize my appointment time. I was told they were prioritizing appointments after asking for an update after 2.5 hours of waiting. Was originally told 1-1.5 hours. I was the. Told the tech that would service my vehicle wasn’t scheduled to come in until 11am. I schedule a week in advance for 9am. After the second update on time, I was told 30 minutes. It ended up being an additional hour +

I called to make an appointment 3 days prior and I was told my appointment was made without the associate taking any of my information. Once I arrived, I was not surprised to learn that my appointment was never made. My car was still serviced, but then I had to call 30 minutes before closing time for them to tell me that it had been done hours ago, they just forgot to call. I'm never returning here again.

Giving it a one star since the receptionist Rafael was very nice and professional. However, the maintenance guy Jose was extremely rude and impatient. When I asked about the safety of my car, and if driving long distance post repair would be smooth. He literally said: “I’m gonna charge you $50 for the inspection fee and not repair your car since you will blame me later on. You can go elsewhere. “ I cannot believe what I heard and it was literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life! I would NOT recommended this place to anyone in my network.

Greg and his team were very helpful in repairing a headlamp issue while we were on a trip to Houston, TX. They seemed genuinely concerned about repairing our car’s lighting issues quickly and in a cost effective manner. The waiting room was just ok however it’s a great to be at a facility that treats their clients so well. Hopefully I’ll not have car trouble on future trips to Houston though I will certainly return to Greg’s/Pep Boys location.

Easy to make an appointment and drop off. Was told 2 hours but wasn't ready until 4+ hours. Didn't have air filter (O'Reilly's down the street did), didn't reset maintenance minder and left a dirty shoe mark on my carpet. Price was okay.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. My brakes failed about two weeks ago and I took my car to the closest place I could find, running in about 15 minutes before the shop closed. They were very kind and promised to start working on my car the following morning. It turns out the repair was a major one and took about a week to complete, but when I came to pick it up the car wouldn’t start because the battery was so old (not any fault of their own). After seeing my panic over the added price (my money is stretched thin as it is) they very graciously offered to replace my battery for free and sent me on my way. I could not be more thankful, I will be returning to this place with any issues I may have. They truly care about their customers.

I brought in four tires to be mounted on my car. I was the only customer in the shop at about 6pm, and after I gave my keys to the tech, I walked by the service window a few times, and saw my car in the bay, but not on the lift. I saw the tire tech inside my car, sitting and doing something on his phone for quite some time. After about 25-30 minutes after turning over my keys, the tire tech came to me and asked for my wheel lock key. I asked him why it took so long for him to get my car on the lift and realize he needed my wheel lock key. He struggled to give me an answer and had an excuse about some tool he was looking for.Later after the tires were mounted, I paid my bill and drove off. The car rode very poorly, every crack on the road caused a big thud, and something seemed wrong. After I got home i decided to check the tire pressures, thinking that they might have been overinflated some. When I connected my tire pressure gauge, the gauge shot out all the way to the end, and exploded. I own a car parts business, and in owning my business for 21 years, I have never seen a tire pressure gauge explode.I got another tire pressure gauge, and checked, and every tire had somewhere over 60 psi. It could have been 70, it could have been 80, or even 90 psi, who knows, my gauge maxed out at 60 psi.Anyways, this was a real hazard because my tires could have overheated, and exploded if I had driven much further.I contacted the manager who said that the tires have to be inflated with a lot of pressure to put the tire on the wheel. They are supposed to lower the pressure after the tires are mounted, but obviously the tire tech didnt do that. If this had happened to my mother, or my wife, they could have had a blow out on the freeway.

I generally go to the Humble Pep Boys and they are great, unfortunately that just simply isn't the case for this Pep Boys! I called in because I needed four new tires, one to be put onto my wheel so I could take it to my car put it on, then drive my car in to have the rest of the work completed. They advertised a buy 3 get one free deal on the tires I wanted but they wouldn't honor that deal in the store (the ad does NOT state that it was only an online purchase deal) and made me go online to buy the tires on their website, which I thought was no big deal, that is until I purchased them and then I was told that the orders don't come through right away and I would have to return the next day to get the one tire. They knew that I needed that tire to get my car on the road, they knew that I had paid for it and they wouldn't do anything to help me out. The most frustrating piece of this puzzle is the fact that I had called ahead to confirm that they had the buy 3 get one free tires in stock and they didn't say anything about all of these hoops I would have to jump through to get the one tire. So here I am, day 2 of no vehicle (I live in Kingwood) and I am wondering what will happen next (heading to get my tire now).
