Millie absolutely loved going to Prep School at Peace Love & Dogs and learned so much. She loved her trainer Ivan and he really helped me to learn the next ways to train her too. Everyone there is so nice, and you can tell they all really love being there working with all the pups. We have had such a great experience & will keep going back.

The prep school program at Peace Love Dogs has been the absolute best for our puppy, Monty. We were struggling with Monty being overly timid and worried. Our trainer, Ivan helped him build confidence and helped us communicate and bond with Monty through fun and creative training techniques. Everyone at PLD has been so knowledgeable, helpful and simply a joy to work with. Monty will be training, grooming and boarding with PLD for years to come.

I have a bad habit of only leaving reviews when I'm annoyed with something and not leaving reviews when I'm happy. I'm trying to change that.My little chaos demon, Abbie, completed the prep school (the 6 week program) with Ivan as her trainer in late December. We love the way they treated her. It felt very much like their interest was in her succeeding and being the best dog she could be. An example that sticks out in my mind is that we had plans to board Abbie for a long weekend with them (over Thanksgiving). A few weeks prior to that the staff was noticing that Abbie was showing signs that boarding might be stressful for her, so they called me and asked if they could have Abbie board there in advance so that Abbie could be introduced to the people that work there at night by her trainer, Ivan to set her up for success for when we were out of town. I figured they would charge me for that, nope. All they wanted to do was to make sure she was comfortable and that it would be a positive experience for her. They repeat over and over that they're a training facility and they know that and they just want the dogs to be the best dogs they can be.Recently I called because Abbie was "dismissed" from her doggie daycare (Houston Barkpark) for setting boundaries and according to HBP not playing well with others. Our experience with PLD has always been that Abbie is good at playing with other dogs. So I called PLD to see if I could get her in for some refresher days and check her status on the canine academy. Brittany picked up the phone and I told her what was going on. And Brittany made me feel so much better. I was so upset about Abbie being "dismissed" but Brittany (and later on Abbie's current trainer, JJ) rallied around Abbie. Brittany told me to get the video footage to them and she would show to the team and see what they could do, to discuss and dissect Abbie's behavior and decide what happened. JJ is trying to call the speak to the HBP to view the footage so that she could make a determination about any training direction we might need to take or even if Abbie is doing anything wrong (HBP is not staffed by trainers so I trust the expertise of JJ and Brittany over HBP assessment). It felt so secure. I was so stressed and worried and it felt like a hug. This was in total contrast to HBP which are even refusing to let me video the footage so that I can show it to the trainers to help Abbie. The dedication to Abbie's wellbeing is just so wonderful. I'm not trying to make this a negative review over HBP, but to instead show the absolute night and day difference and reactions.I'm eager to get Abbie off the waitlist to participate in some of their alumni programs. But honestly, the fact that they have a waitlist give credence to my feeling that they're chasing dog safety over profits. I'm sure they could just pile as many dogs in the facility as they wanted and make a lot more money, but instead they are keeping a strict number in order to make sure that they can handle the dogs effectively. That the waitlist doesn't move much means the people participating in the program are happy. While I'm looking forward to the day Abbie can get in, I appreciate what it says about their views.The long and short of this review is that it feels like PLD genuinely and truly cares about the dogs in their care. They want the dogs to be happy and they want the dogs to be safe and they want the dogs to be the best dog they can be and fit into your life in the best way they can. And I think that's all anybody could ever ask for.I wanted to leave a review from Abbie as well. The picture attached is one her trainer, Ivan, took while she was at school. I think her smile says it all.

The team at Peace Love Dogs is incredible. I've been blown away with their flexibility and compassion for our puppy and last minute boarding/training requests. They are extremely accommodating and we are so thankful. Mari has been such a caring and patient trainer for Osa as well. 5/5 to the entire establishment!

My Frenchie puppy had just completed her prep school program, the whole team at PLD and especially our trainer, Ivan, are amazing. Everyone is always ready to help and based on my experience, has the best interest of the participants.It's been a challenge for me being in a 2-dog household and the training school really helped. Lulu has shown so much improvement overall, and in the aspects that we had specifically wanted to address.We look forward to continuing our journey with the refresher training days to keep up with our progress and soon, daycare days!THANK YOU!!!

Trainer Pedram has done amazing work with our yorkie puppy. The skills that she has learned at PLD has set her, and us, up for so much success. She’s earned a lot more privileges and freedom because of her training. Leave it, place, and recall have been life savers for us. Pedram has been wonderful at answering and asking questions that help us with our progress. He’s also done a great job teaching us how to interact with our puppy and reach the best training outcomes for our family. Thank you Pedram for your dedicated training. So thankful for PLD, especially Stewart in Puppy Preschool and Ivan in Prep School! Our super intense lab puppy loves to learn and can pick up commands easily but what we really needed was to teach her how to relax, play safely with our kids, greet people nicely, etc. They have helped shape her into the sweet, confident, fun family dog that we always wanted. Highly recommend all of their trainers as well as lodging and spa. :)

Long overdue in reviewing this amazing business as our Aussie has been coming here for a year now! We have a very hyper Aussie who started going to PLD for their 6 week training class, during those 6 weeks he improved in his listening and polite greetings (although still an Aussie so he likes to jump, it’s much better!) We, and Angus, loved PLD so much he now goes twice a week for their canine academy. They work with him on the skills he learned and he gets to romp around with some besties! I don’t know if he loves the staff or his furry friends more! I can’t recommend PLD enough, when we travel Angus stays here and we never worry, he is literally in the best most loving hands! Bonus, they send fun report cards with cute pictures of your pet :)

My 65 lb. 7 month old chocolate lab, Knox, just competed 4 weeks of prep school at PLD. I couldn’t be more happy and impressed with the entire experience from my initial inquiry with Roxanna to the weekly trainings with our trainer Greg. Everyone is extremely professional, responsive to all communications and every trainer/handler that I met genuinely cares. I felt 100% comfortable leaving him there all day 4 days a week for 4 week. He will be boarding there for my first work trip and I will continue utilize their services exclusively for Knox. He loved it there!

I have been going to Peace Love Dogs for a year now and have an adorable doodle. They are TOP notch! I just moved to California and EVERY person has asked where my pup gets groomed because they do such a wonderful job! Highly recommend!!!!!

Review for grooming but bonus info on training: YALL I’ve never had better grooming. My baby came home sparkling! We booked a de-shedding and a bath but they did so much more. He’s a typical lab which = horrible skin issues. I’m not sure what voodoo magic they worked tbh. His ears and in between his paw pads are ALWAYS red from external allergens. They look HEALED. Like not just clean, but they’re not even red or inflamed at all! I have no idea how they did that but he hasn’t been itching all day, and that in itself is worth it. His coat is gorgeous, he smells amazing, and I noticed they must have also worked on his paw pads because they are so smooth! I had no idea this appt included so much pampering but he is so happy and so is my wallet. Also his teeth look great? Idk if they brushed them but I wouldn’t be surprised since they went the whole nine yards. A couple years ago we went here for puppy training. The trainer was SO knowledgeable and gave us all the basics that we still use to this day. Can’t rave enough!

In the last six months, my Australian Shepherd Winnie has become a regular at PLD having completed two six-week training programs and multiple lodging stays while my wife and I were out of town. The passion and dedication of the PLD team exceeded our expectations and gave us confidence that our fur baby was being well cared for.We spent a lot of time working with Maddison and trainer Ivan, who were incredibly patient and utilised positive reinforcement techniques to create a friendly and nurturing environment for Winnie. They took time to listen to our goals, comments, and concerns and tailored their approach to suit the needs of our dog. Most importantly, they continuously advocated for Winnie in the early stages of her training, while she was working through challenging puppy behaviours such as mouthiness, jumping, and leash pulling/chewing.I can confidently say that PLD has helped us better understand and manage Winnie’s behaviours, and our time with trainer Ivan was instrumental in helping my Wife and I develop skills for working with Winnie and other dogs.

I cannot say enough about Katie and the team at Peace Love Dogs! Our two year old terrier mix, Lola, was exhibiting some behavior issues that Katie helped us manage with easy-to-apply instructions we could do at home. She made time to meet with not just me but other family members as well, to ensure consistency. Peace Love Dogs is also a wonderful facility that is clean and pleasant, with a caring staff. We highly recommend Peace Love Dogs to anyone looking for good dog training and a fabulous team.

Our dog LOVES going to PLD. He gets so excited when we pull into the driveway. When looking for a training facility, we were impressed because when we drove up there was nearly no barking! Every other place we went was loud and chaotic. PLD was calm, structured, and quiet. The trainers there are incredible, we love Katie & Steven. Their newly opened boarding facility is gorgeous and our pup enjoyed his stay there. If you’re looking for doggy daycare where your dog comes home with good habits rather than bad ones, PLD is the place for you and your pup!

I love this place! Their Socialization Classes. Chloe is a chihuhua mix that I strongly recommend their Socialization Classes because they are amazing. The ratio is 4 dogs to one trainer, which after doing my research and visiting different places, is unique. Chloe is a chihuahua mix that was rescued at 4 months of age from a trash can. When I got her, she was about 6-7 months old. She was fearful and lacked confidence around people and other dogs. Barking on walks was a not fun due to her frequent barking. Thanks Charles Hughes patient work, little Chloe graduated. On our walk, she now shakes her little tail with lots of confidence and barks less! While she was in the Socialization Classes Charles was great at providing feedback on how she was progressing and how to continue some of the work they were doing at PLD at home. I strongly recommend this program to any body who has a dog who needs to be socialized, especially if they are a rescue who shy and lacks confidence around other dogs and people.

We picked up our puppy and were lost for about 2 months. She was super difficult (our PLD trainer classified her as a top-5 most difficult dog she’s dealt with) and we were unprepared.Ashley was amazing and changed our lives. 6 months later our dog is well-adjusted and we’re able to expend energy on other things finally! We’ll miss Ashley now that she’s gone but we’ll keep going back to PLD to train our pup!

We found our Sadie on our street back in April 2022. We had 2 other dogs and the transition was rough. We signed her up for prep training and we are now seeing the fruits of her work. The love, patience, skills, and professionalism of her dog trainers at PLD has been something to behold.The front desk team is friendly and welcoming.The training sessions are informative and helpful. My husband and I feel like we are gaining invaluable skills to help Sadie become the best dog ever.The facility is clean and bright.We have also boarded her and felt comfortable that she was safe and cared for.We are grateful we found PLD and cannot recommend them enough.

I've taken my Golden Retriever to a handful of different groomers. PLD is by far the best. I don't understand how they get Ellie's coat so silky smooth and smelling great. We did 6 week basic training course with PLD as well. They were very knowledgeable and have an inhuman amount of patience for dogs

We absolutely LOVE Peace Love Dogs and our trainer Russell! We signed up our 8 week old pup for 30 days with Russell and it was the best decision we’ve ever made! In fact, we were so pleased with the results, we extended her training an additional 30 days and brought our younger pup in as well once she was old enough to start. Russell has been training them both and he is absolutely fantastic. It’s very clear that he is passionate about animals, genuinely wants them to succeed, and is so patient with our girls (and super friendly!) He writes out detailed report cards with lots of pictures and videos every single day outlining what they worked on that day. Highly recommend him! The entire staff is so friendly and easy to communicate with. The facility is also top notch, very clean and spacious with lots of training rooms, and has boarding and grooming options available as well. I did lots of research looking for a good day school/trainer and Peace Love Dogs is by far the best! Worth every penny!

I love this place, the amount of hard work and effort the staff puts into your dogs is amazing. And most of the training will stick if you put in your own hard work as well. Dog training is not a one way street, and PLD does a great job of making sure the training is a collaborative effort between trainer and owner.

Katie is a very good trainer. She is sweet and non-judgmental, and she got my people-shy Cattle Dog to love her very quickly. While the cost of private lessons is pricey, Katie has given me a lot of confidence and has offered really good and helpful strategies in just the few lessons we have had together. Additionally, Katie recommended that I stop doing lessons and update her if my dog's issues regress because she thought my dog was doing great and didn't need any more lessons at his pace. I think that's really awesome that Katie (and presumably the culture at Peace, Love, Dogs) is not at all about trying to get owners to sign up for the maximum number of lessons like I've seen other training facilities try and pull because they try to convince you that your dog is the worst and needs tons of help. I easily would have signed up for a whole package of lessons, but Katie does not want you to sign up for anything more than necessary, and she did a great job assuring me that I am doing great and that my dog is great. I really appreciate that! The only con is that they're very busy (but good!) understandably with the uptick in dog ownership, so it does take awhile before you can get an in-home lesson.

Peace Love Dogs is wonderful. They changed my puppy from a nuisance to a beloved pet. So far we have competed the 6 week puppy training program and also a 10 day board and train. Worth every penny. We have also used the for grooming services and they did an excellent job!

Absolutely amazing puppy & dog classes. Our pup Rudder has completed both the puppy class and cultivated canine and has improved leaps and bounds since we first started going to PLD. We took both courses under Katie and she made things for both dog owners and pups seamlessly easy and fun! I have seen dogs and owners of all ages in classes and everyone improves tremendously in 6 weeks.
