My wife and I frequently drive to HEB after dropping our grandson off at school. The store is always clean. The employees are respectful and will stop whatever they are attending to to help you. I cannot say anything bad about HEB. They are the perfect store.

I paid almost $30 for this cake. Simple with no decorations and onky two colors. The icing on the birthday message ribbon was melting. The message itself was wrong - I asked for a three short words to make it easy for them. But they still got it wrong.The two people at the bakery looked new and inexperienced. I am guessing they are understaffed and they were left without a more experienced baker helping them with the orders. Not their fault. The store should hire enough staff.

It was refreshing to go here at night, and be able to shop without all of the hustle and bustle and distractions I usually deal with at other locations. There is plenty of room to move around and find what you need. There are also always enough registers open. They never run out of shopping carts, although this is a popular location, in my opinion. This HEB has a wide variety of selections and deals on many different food and non-food products. Some of these items, you may never have seen anywhere else. They are also always well-stocked. If it is low in the afternoon, you will definitely be able to find more by the evening. Also, there is an abundance of parking spaces. With multiple entrances, it always works out.

This store is huge and clean. Very big variety of everything. They have taste stations and also good prices. The prepared meals are a good variety and the prepared salads are cheap and large in size. Two can eat off one salad. The large salads are $6 and they are good sizes and the prepared small salads are $4. Which is a good price for the size. And that is all kinds od salads Cobb salad ans chicken etc are all $6. Good price. Check them out. This location is huge. No pics of inside you have to go to experience. Apologies.

Worst Customer Service ever. Most of the checkers are young kids and they need to go through Customer Service Training prior to them being out on the floor. They do not offer to help, barely want to talk to you and never do they say Thank you for anything. They are not polite and certainly very unprofessional. I had an issue with pricing and I had to do all the leg work, no assistance from anyone or offer of assistance. The WORST !!!!

I stopped in the store about 6:45 AM. I noticed that this store does not have overnight stockers. Items were everywhere and there were plenty items that were out. High as a employee with a black polo shirt for chicken stock because I did not see it listed in The area with chicken broth. It seems like he really did not want to help me and said that if it’s not over there we don’t have it. I don’t know of any H-E-B stores that don’t sell chicken stock. You would think that shopping soon as a store open or an hour after the store opens you will be able to find everything you need. The first two things that I needed were not there so I left.

Mom and I went grocery shopping on 10/30 , she was Rudely approached by a elder employee Woman in the meat dept approx 3pm . Mom was trying to look at the meat, when she was rudely asked to move around her.All my mom was simply trying to do . was to locate a particular piece / cut of meat. She was extremely RUDE . these employees need to have manners. I can shop at Fiesta with no rude employees.

Very bad customer service coming from the manager on night shift, went in for a last minute cake real quick for my husbands birthday so asked the manager for assistance for it and manager said that they were closed on bakery and that there was nothing he could do to help me which i understand that bakery is closed but only thing i needed was for cake to be boxed, all cakes had price tag ready only thing needed was the box so therefore i had to bring my cake boxless. Very bad customer service dont think i was asking for much manager just didnt want to provide cuatomer service at all.

This is easily the worst HEB in the houston area if not all of Texas. No self checkout every single line is long. Limited inventory meaning they don’t carry what most other HEB’s do. Absolutely packed combined with horrible parking. This place needs to be shutdown and remodeled immediately. I drive 20 minutes to any other HEB before stopping here and it’s only 5 minutes from my house and on the way home from work.

I have been a loyal customer of the Gulf Gate H-E-B store for nearly 20 years, but after my recent experience, I will not be returning. I purchased some dinosaur ribs from the Washington Street store, as they were unavailable at Gulf Gate. Upon attempting to return the meat on Thanksgiving morning due to quality concerns, I was met with an unpleasant encounter with Michael Cantu, the store's "center leader." He refused to refund, exchange, or provide store credit, citing that the item was not sold at the Gulf Gate location. Despite my proximity to the store, I will no longer consider it my primary grocery destination. I may return for essential items in a pinch, but thats it. I left HEB their spoiled beef fyi.

I only go to this HEB because it is near me. Most of the time, I will go shopping at another location due to lack of quality items here and they are slacking in customer service.This location does not have most of their items in stock and rarely has the variety/quality of most HEB products other locations carry. The people who work here are not very helpful and the store is dirty most of the time.If you need a fast option for groceries, only buy what you need quickly here. If you are looking for quality specialty foods that HEB provides, Do not go to this store.I would recommend driving the extra 5-10 miles to another HEB location.

I do love HEB above all other grocery chains here in SE Texas, but the Gulfgate location is in dire need of an update. When this store expanded its Curbside service, it restricted the exits for instore shopping. The cash register stations direct customers directly in front of the exit doors and create a bottle neck that could become dangerous. This location needs and warrants an updated floorplan and/or an expansion. It strains to meet the needs of this community.

My mom came yesterday and bought $300 worth of groceries and INPUTTED her card info on the PINPAD. I came today and was told by CELESTE that they don’t allow that. That it’s against company policy and the person that helped my mom should be terminated. It was a $20 charge and I had none of my cards. I was humiliated in front of people with my 10 year old niece. She should be terminated for being stupid and arrogant. AND ONTOP OF THAT THEY DONT TAKE APPLE PAY!!! I hope Celeste gets fired and not the person that helped my mom with her $300 grocery tab.

I went here July 11th 2021 and bought a nice house plant or which I thought it was a nice houseplant. It was in front of the store for only $9. So I could not pass it up. I bought it and took it home. I touched it and did not think it would harm me. Long story short it did. It gave me a nasty itchy rash and I later found out it was a plant called Zuzu. Why would HEB sell a poisonous plant without a warning to their customers? I honesty don't know what to do right now, other then let it heal. I am NEVER shopping at an HEB EVER again!! Also told everyone I know to not shop here either. -10/10

Store allows pets inside. Pretty disgusting. The recent changes didn’t do much. Still over crowded at check out and cashiers bag 1 item per bag. THE BAG STILL TEARS! People are rude. Almost got run over today. Grackles everywhere and will decimate your vehicle in 5 minutes. 2 stars because they have decent meat selection.

Love curbside pick up I never have issues with my order. But ever since I accidentally put 7:00 AM instead of 7:00 PM (ONE TIME) I feel like the manager Ana does it on purpose to personally remind me of my order via email and will also call me. I get automated text messages I feel like her doing that is unnecessary and I feel harassed. She calls me before the pick up time to tell me if it doesn’t get picked up by the end of the day the order will be cancelled which that’s not part of the policy, the policy says they will hold it for 24 hours you just have to call and reschedule your pick up time for the next day. I had to block her email because it was getting ridiculous, I prefer the automated text messages. Still giving 5 stars because the employees that take out the groceries are amazing!

Had a really rude cashier her name was as “Jackie 0” she had glasses, and a high calorie body shape. She was going off cuz we got in her lane of “15 or less” when we had ab 15 items. She was talking ABOUT US very loudly and complaining to the other cashier of why we were in her line RIGHT ON FRONT OF US. She wanted us to know she was talking ab us. Luckily I’m saved, I’m still from $outheast tho so y’all need to handle that cuz everyone ain’t as saved as me. I complained to the manager/supervisor on duty and she confirmed that it wasn’t Jackie’s first time receiving a complaint ab her that same day. I stopped going to that HEB cuz after going back the following week she was still there. I don’t need to spend my hard earned money where you keep incompetent and rude employees like that around. If there has been multiple complaints on the same person then HEB CLEARLY doesn’t care ab their customers. Fairmont has much better customer service and it’s much further for me but I rather go to a place that is peaceful with nicer people. Gulfgate store layout is horrible. Everyone got an attitude cuz we’re always in each others way. It’s not worth the hassle
