I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ! If you take your dog for grooming please DONT anymore ! They are very unprofessional , tried to lie to me saying my dog moved and he had a little cut , when they turned him to me he had a BIG cut on his ear , constant bleeding , constant pain for him ! They only gave me HALF MY MONEY BACK ! And didnt even tell me “ im sorry “ ! They tried to hide what they did and got CAUGHT ! Dont bring your pets here !!! I had to buy him a cone so he wont mess with it because it will hurt him and he would try to scratch and it would just open it back up

The owner is very hands on she’s knowledgeable and her presence speak volumes ,she knew right away what was wrong with my baby , she could’ve charged us a arm an two legs but she keep it reasonable knowing the conversation alone was hundred dollar worth a game , anyways I recommend anybody who has animals to visit her feed store ( she speaks Spanish as well ). Thank You once again

I really like this place. I was so happy to find a dog wash station so close to me. My dog hates it but loves it after the scrubbing starts. Also, the young lady behind the counter is very nice and helpful.

I get my Furry baby's food from here. Victor's grain free. Always in stock and smaller bags, since sometimes I'm on a budget and can't get the larger bag.The parking is a bit far from the building, and there's only 1 handicap spot directly in front.The lady that works the counter is super nice, she sometimes has my order waiting at the counter when I call in, so I don't have to go looking for it. I've also purchased toys, a bed pad for my dog. They even have nice dog chains, dog cookies and dog snacks and drinks ! Whatever you're looking for, I believe you've found the right place.

It’s been about a month since I visited but the impact that the staff left on me and my dogs I had to make time for a review. I went in for some help with my dogs having some skin issues. They offer a host of services as well as great pricing on big bags of food that are more beneficial to my pups and medicine at an affordable price. The owner took her time to educate me on diet information, allergy info as well as made me want to spend my money with a company that cared. I am moving north of Houston and will travel once a month too get my supplies and anything I may need due too feeling so welcomed and appreciated thanks so much!

COME HERE FOR THE BEST medicine, supplies your fur babies need. The owner is full of information & will make sure you get everything you need. Was able to purchase a years worth of heartworm, flea preventative, as well as all the monthly medicine, my pups need for less than $200. My vet only sells this kind of medicine after I check up and spending up to $200 just to get a months worth. I’ve been coming here for years and can definitely say this is the best place to go to in Houston.

Horrible service. I've been there a few times and the employees are very helpful and are knowledgeable. However, I've encountered the owner or the owner's daughter twice and her attitude is BEYOND TERRIBLE!! She acts as if you are irritating her by asking common questions and has very short patience with customers. I was looking for a choke collared for my dog, but I didn't know what size to get him. I was trying to ask her if the collars worked according to the size of the dog because he is still growing and getting stronger. She was acting SUPER IMPATIENT and telling me to make up my mind so she could unlock the rack and give me the collar. I paid $20.00 for a lil choke collar but her attitude bothered me so much until I returned it today. Brand new never used, but they don't do returns. I spent extra on another product, but went to Ray's feed store and paid far less for a MUCH BETTER collar and the lady offered instructions and advice. I will never go back to Big Tex again. HORRIBLE SERVICE is not what I spend $$$$ for

I loved this business when I first went, and love it even more after their “face lift”! The daughter recently took over and it’s clear to me that she knows what she’s doing. LOVE to see it. Woman owned/black owned, local, and the staff is so inviting and warm. They sell quality products that I use every day for my dogs (like Skout’s Honor probiotic deodorizer. YES). You’ll find supplies for horses, birds, rodents, cats, and more. They have my dog’s Victor food, our preferred chews by Redbarn (my dogs love the braided bully sticks) and so many options for everyone. This is the feed store to support. And if you haven’t tipped them, what you doin?? Big Tex has our support locked in!

I go to feed stores to get a better price, but Chewy is actually cheaper than this place. However, at least they had what I was looking for. Good selection of items but try not to look at the poor caged birds suffering in the front room.

Love the beautiful customer service they have everything you need from dog treats, to when your loved pet babies aren’t feeling well they carry medicine. As well as shots and micro chips on Saturdays. Not to forget to mention the beautiful selection of collars of all sizes and colors. Get your pets right !
