We came here as a family and they have installed a new outdoor area. It was 2 pm and no one was there but we got kicked out of the outdoor area because we had two kids with us. They said the area with outdoor games are for 21 and up only. The kids had 3 adults a piece to watch them and make sure they didn’t harm anything outside and we still got kicked out. We left and didn’t eat because the kids didn’t take it well. It was completely empty. We’d understand if there were other adults out there that the kids could bother or if it was later in the afternoon when people were drinking but no one was out there and it was early.Seemed a bit unfair.

Had the blackened fish tacos and they were great! Also a few beer looking over the water add a relaxing time. Service was great with no issues. I'll be back for sure.Update. I've been back and had the boudain balls and the fried soft shell crab 🦀. Both were great and of course had more cold beer as we sit and watch water.

Went last week, and I really wanted to like this place as I am big into supporting local businesses and love dive bars, but it was a very terrible experience. Not sure how they have a 4.5 star rating? First, they didn't have a lot of the menu seafood items available to serve...yet they're supposed to be a seafood restaurant?? The dish I did end up getting tasted "meh", small portioned, and overpriced for what it was. I could actually forgive the food quality, BUT the worst of the whole experience was the wait staff. They had a little live band, so a lot of the locals packed the place in. And for all of these customers, they only had 2---TWO waitresses working the entire restaurant! Since I barely drank any alcohol, my waitress didn't pay much attention to me. She was much more focused on the regulars, and the heavy drinking customers. She was so busy with other customers, she pretty much tossed my plate on my table AT me--as she was still speed walking to another table! I thought my food was going to end up in my lap. She forgot my beverage on a few occasions, and instead brought me another alcohol beverage--that I didn't ask for (I'm not a big drinker). During my entire stay, I watched as this waitress still made time to schmooze, laugh, and flirt with her regulars and the heavy drinking patrons. I guess their tips mattered more than mine?? Or alcohol sales are more important than good customer service??

Ate here last week for lunch and a few other times before and my bacon avocado cheeseburger was delicious and super juicy. Onion rings were super hot and fresh. I dont come here enough. Probably a good thing so i dont burn myself out and the food always tastes perfect. My food is always hot and never cold. Just wish they had fountain drinks but i understand its more of a alcohol establishment. The waitresses have always been super nice to me and check on me every 5 minutes. Never been on a extreme busy day but im sure they are short staffed, but these ladies always seem to work hard and never stand around on their phones n such always on the move so give them a break if they rush a little bit .

The food was not bad. The environment it's okay. Service took a little while considering there was only four to five groups and three waitresses. Seems like the ketchup bottles have been refilled for years. The labels are almost completely worn off. Seems like their machines and pool tables were having issues. Leave you outside is nice you have a boat slip and launch ramp directly outside. Beers are cheap this is good place to hang out after fishing trip.

We’ve been coming here for 40 years and absolutely love the burgers, the view & buckets of beer.Everything has gotten ridiculously expensive. I ordered a shrimp po’boy for $16.99 and it had 6 total shrimp on it. Even the burgers have gone up to $10.99. What an absolute shame!!

Love the place ICE ICE cold beer, everyone is friendly. My personal favorite is the crab dip but all the food I have had is great. The staff are fast and friendly and are on the spot when it’s time for a refill. Other customers are very friendly the bar is set up so that everyone can banter and joke around creating a great environment for people to have a good time.Kid-friendliness: Lots of food choices that kids enjoy eating.

Waited over an hour after ordering burgers before we gave up walked out. Fifteen minutes after being told five more minutes. All of our drinks totally empty, waitress never asked once if we wanted refills. The place wasn’t even half full. We heard that they had great burgers but looks like we will never find out since we will never be back.In reply to the response from the establishment, I will add that we told the waitress at the one hour mark that we were out of time due to another obligation and were going to need the food to go or would have to leave without it. I think it is common industry practice that if you don’t have the capacity to serve the people, then shut down certain sections of the restaurant, rather than leaving them sitting there hungry and wondering what is going on while there’s zero communication from the kitchen.We had asked three times during the hour and every time were told a “couple of more minutes.” Our server never advised us there would be any kind of unusual wait. I have never before walked a check, but we had somewhere to be and communicated that to the server as things started running long.An hour after ordering, we are sitting there with no food and empty drinks. She tells us five more minutes. We say okay, but we have to leave, it has to be to go at this point. Then we waited almost fifteen more minutes, until we could not wait any longer, so we left cash on the table for drinks and tip.I would ask the owner to please consider that there is a negative trend in the reviews in the last few months, and some management responses to them feel pretty harsh, sometimes with excuses and insults instead of looking for ways to improve the business and maximize revenue by matching the general reputation for great burgers with one for a great guest experience as well.I hope that you have an excellent season coming up to restore your spirits.

Refreshing place on the bayou after a day in crowded Galveston.Chose the place for the catfish. We ordered it grilled; it was juicy and tasty; it came with fries and a side of lettuce salad.Service could not have been faster and nicer.Very happy with my choice😊

Wow! The Shrimp Alfredo……..I can’t say enough. Delicious and creamy…hmmm. This waterside bait camp and restaurant sure did impress me. I highly recommend trying it out for taste and flavor.

We came in and had great service at first then our waiter changed and she was completely rude. one meal had 4 fries and 2 onion rings while another got an expired Cesar salad. Waitress had an attitude all night and even charged one of our bills an extra $30. While calculating the bill as she’s staring at us she walks over and says,”yeah I messed it up” and the proceeded to Forrest it by $30

I’ve heard the food was great, so I wanted to try it. Besides the high prices, (which I understand, everything’s high these days), the quality of the food for the price is horrible. I had blacked shrimp tacos and onion rings. There were teeny tiny shreds of shrimp on them (you couldn’t even taste the shrimp for the pile of cabbage) and about 10 onion rings which were mostly over cooked. If it weren’t for the great music ( Jason James and David Richardson) I would have left.Also the service was terrible, I think they only had one cook ( it took almost an hour to get bad food) and only 2 girls working the front of the house. They were overwhelmed. Not sure that I’ll go back for food🤷🏻‍♀️
