I like to run to this store for last minute things, especially nice cold fresh Hygeia milk! They have a great selection of items. Especially cleaning products, recently I discovered a terrific cleaning solution I used on my floors. Great fragrance and cleaning power and left an awesome shine on my floor.

Bad experience today here.Picked up needed items, plus a small flashlight, batteries included.i had them check the batteries,which did not work .was told I would have to buy the batteries myself.i said no.They then put the defective light back on the shelf for some other poor customerShame on you dollar general.

Note to Management: Do not put a young, nice girl to work the late night shift alone. Great store, but obviously terrible management. She was doing so much all alone and dealing with ghetto customers.

I go to this dollar general because of the proximity to my house. It has the items I need and then some. The store is not organized, but I understand why. I am giving this store four out of five stars, not because of cleanliness. There have been a few times that the cashier who happens to be ringing me up on that particular day, seems to be agitated, or angry.

It's nice because they have a good selection so you usually find what you're looking for, it's just a little messy. The staff is great though, and I don't think it's their fault. If they had more help I think the whole place would run a lot smoother.

Great store with great customer service 👍They have a little of everything! From ice cream to hardware items, like to hang pictures. Why they even sell bras! Go figure!They were adhering to the Covid-19 restrictions, like wearing a mask. They have 4th of July decorations too. And, plenty of parking!

Very bad experience, cashier followed me around store, and when I asked to use restroom refused to give me key and instead went to unlock restroom door herself, and told me I couldn't take the handheld basket into restroom, before giving me a chance to put it down... she assumed I was there to take stuff without paying?? I know they have to be attentive to thieves, but I don't appreciate being harassed. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN! By the way I paid for all my items!

I have a medical exemption for wearing a mask. Walmart and H‑E‑B have no problem with it but the wanna-be important person at this store was very rude and said I had to leave. They’re about to get an ADA complaint filed which hopefully gets them a $75,000 fine.

Worst store to work at. Managers name is Isabel , she treats all employees like dirt and gets rid of them like they were used tissue paper. She says alot of remarks about you ether to other employees or just tells you in a rude, way. Of coarse you don't wanna tell her anything back because she's the manager but she constantly abuses her authority as a store manager. She makes the whole work environment feel like a dictatorship. I loved first starting there, but as soon as you think you have a good relationship with her, she can backstab. She writes up any one for any little thing but won't write up her asst manager for being late or leaving the store without a key holder there. Worst boss by far I've ever had. Her soul is black like her teeth . trust me I would not waste time putting this up . if you work at this store and she is still the manager get out while you still can. She tries her best to get all the employees to not like each other or by spreading rumors and talking about each other. She is very unprofessional and should be fired.

They have added lots of great products. Sometimes it's just easier and faster to go into any Dollar General stores than the big grocery stores. I have 3 really close by me.😊

I love this place if I need a few items. Very c lk wan , friendly workers. What I like are the items for gardening. They always h ave the cutest things.

Go about once a week for the convenience and have a good variety of candy! * Due to the location being near a canal La Llorona can be heard weeping during summer time at night. No harm will come but can be alarming.

Whenever I forget something from the grocery store, I know I can count on the Dollar General. I don't know the layout too well, but I always find one of the workers there to assist me locating the products I need.

They finally demoted Isabel , now if only they can get rid of Jorge the district manager he's unfair and demotes hard workers and when you call and ask for a reason why he just acts stupid or acts like he doesn't know what you are talking about and says he'll call back to never call back . Every time he'd visit, he'll get a call about an employee and tell whoever is boss is to give out that employee less hours so they could be motivated to quit, what kind of guy is that?!?!? Without being more of charismatic leader After all its the name of the position. Plays favorites and all of his favorites are store managers and come to help him with inventory (who are all related to each other) takes them out to eat and fire's any part-time employees if they just don't like them. A real jackass , soooo happy I left that job. Had other district managers like Susie who actually took time out to figure what was wrong in situations instead of just cutting hours drastically. I work now with a job that's giving me 12.60 an hour proud of it. Would have stuck it out with DG but it's guys like Jorge that get rid of good workers, that's why this store is so damn short on inventory.

I don't go to this location because its far from home. But it's the best customer service of all dollar generals. I'll definitely be buying here more often. The loop 499 location.

It is not wheelchair friendly i had trouble getting around. Aisles are too narrow for my wheelchair and a cart side by side and too much clutter at the end of the aisles.

Dollar general is over all a good place this one is a little scary because when I go into this one it was dark because they had a lights out so it was a little like a haunted house and that scared me and because I was scared I forgot to get the batteries I need and also toothpaste toothpaste​. When I finally get outside there was kids waiting by the side and they laughed at me which hurt my feelings but then I remember I'm a bossman and they just children so I drive home and watch TV. Don't go if the lights are out.

This store is soo crowded. I take my elderly friend shopping here and it's hard for her to get around. Half empty dispays every where. 😞 store always looks untidy
